Kanye To MTV: You Suck!

11/3/2006 10:20 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Kanye West was so miffed at not winning the award for Best Video last night at the MTV Europe Music Awards that he stormed the stage and went on a bizarre, expletive-filled tirade to protest.

Even though he'd won the award for Best Hip-Hop Artist earlier in the evening, West jumped out of his seat in Copenhagen when Justice and Simian (no, we haven't heard of them either) won the Best Video prize for "We Are Your Friends," and crashed the award presentation! He told the stunned audience that he should've won for his "Touch The Sky" because it "cost a million dollars, Pamela Anderson was in it, I was jumping across canyons." And, he added, "If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility."

Elsewhere at the awards, Justin Timberlake, who hosted, won two awards, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers won Best Album.

Mel: I've Got a "Gringo Gut"

Mel Gibson can't handle his booze – and apparently not Mexican food either. He told an audience of Latinos who were actually honoring him for his "Apocalypto" that he has "the gringo gut" and that, during shooting in Mexico, he was "crawling around on [his] hands and knees some days," which, as the AP icily notes, was met with "trails of laughter."

The actor, whose DUI arrest and anti-Semitic tirade will be fictionalized on "Law & Order" tonight, picked up the Chairman's Visionary Award from the Latino Business Association in Beverly Hills. Gibson told the audience that casting unknowns for "Apocalpyto" was like "being at the Super Bowl and getting your quarterback from the audience." He says he cast one actor after seeing him in a juice bar.

For $13 Grand A Month, "SNL" Star Gets Bedbugs for Free

You know that saying about not letting the bedbugs bite? "Saturday Night Live" star Maya Rudolph "Boogie Nights" director Paul Thomas Anderson found out why people say it after their $13,000-a-month Manhattan loft was infested by the tiny creatures. According to a $450,000 lawsuit filed in New York, the couple and their baby moved into the loft last month and immediately found themselves being chewed at night. "The plaintiffs were bitten over portions of their bodies by bedbugs," say the court papers. What's worse, alleges the couple, the elevator in the building was broken so they couldn't escape the infestation easily. The family has moved out -- and have stayed out. The building management had no comment.

Busta Rhymes Busted Again

Yo, Busta: Best not to break the law right in front of the police station. Trouble-prone rapper Busta Rhymes (real name: Trevor Smith) was driving past the Midtown North police precinct in New York last night, reports the New York Daily News, when cops there spotted him talking on his cell phone without a headset while driving, which is a violation of New York state law. The rapper was given a ticket for the offense. In August, Rhymes was charged with assault for allegedly beating up a Bronx man who he says spat on his car.

Party Favors: Cruise's Next Film "Maguire"-Esque ... Streisand Heckler Was – What Else – An Aussie ... Geffen May Have Sold Pollock Dripper for $140 Million

Tom Cruise, newly installed at United Artists, will be making a "dramedy" for UA in the vein of "Jerry Maguire," says FOX News, which adds that MGM has suggested that rather than an action megamovie ... Barbra Streisand's heckler unmasked: The man who threw a drink at Babs during a recent concert was an Aussie with no "political motive or message." Instead, he had just had "one or more too many beers," according to Streisand's flack Dick Guttman (via Page Six). ... Hollywood supermogul David Geffen has sold a famous drip painting by Jackson Pollock for $140 million, believed to be the largest amount ever paid for a painting. Geffen may use the money to buy the Los Angeles Times, says the New York Times.

I said that its the governments job to provide the resources. Not the mayor's. Ummm this needs to be financed SOMEHOW. I dont think there was a reserve to pay for this in Louisiana. If there was any available money, it should have been used to fix the levee. What is the mayor going to do? Fundraise?

FEMA shouldnt wait for the mayors "permission" American Soil is American Soil.

Usually the Federal Government has jurisdiction preceding over any state entity. This wasnt a closed door operation here. Everyone and their uncle knew what was going on

In case you didnt read (and I doubt you did) It is Fema's job to respond before the disaster occurs. How can you blame the negligence of an entire federal agency on 1 guy.

Like I said. The feds are the mayors boss. Its not the other way around.

Your civics trivia is a little rusty here!

For the past 50 years they've been saying New Orleans was going to flood....the fact that the state wasn't prepared is ridiculous. Nagin just stood around pointing fingers at everyone else, but the truth is that he was the Captain of the ship that sank. Both Nagin and the governor of Louisiana were unprepared and there is NO excuse for it, this issue of the New Orleans sinking isn't something that people were just informed of. Over the past 50 years, has the state of Louisiana done anything to secure or repair their long deteriorating levees? With all the money that tourism makes for New Orleans and they couldn't put a few pennies away to help ensure their future. Now, they still would've had damage even if the levees didn't break, but they ignored taking precaution for years on in. The state government is to blame. It's like repairing a bridge....it's up to the state to secure funds....not the federal government. Not to mention Louisiana wasn't the only place that was hammered by the hurricane, Mississippi took a pretty good hit too, but we rarely hear about that. As far as the aftermath, the federal government should take some responsibility, but not FEMA or it's coordinator Michael Brown, b/c he can only take actions w/ the President's permission.

The guy had one good song and now he's a MEGASTAR ?!?! His music is more like MUZIC ...and should be played over and over again while you wait on the phone for your order from Timberland shoes to be aproved . There are much better rappers on the scene but he is backed by ABC and they need the money and spotlight. I will be glad when no one buys he's disc at all . Him and Madonna need to get off the cross and write some real good music not the crap they think is music .

Honey, let me tell you Florida is far from a "white" state. Maybe you are living over in France and have your information distorted. Actually the people in Florida are responsible, have wonderful local and state government, and prepared themselves like responsible adults. Believe me sweetie I have lived through many hurricanes, even Andrew and have never seen anything so ridiculous as the event in NO. The hurricane could not have been stopped, but the evacuations could have saved lives. The thugs in NO were killing those trying to help them so there again they were just bringing it on themselves. BY LAW IT IS LOCAL & STATE GOVERNMENT WHO HAVE AUTHORITY OVER THESE SITUATIONS -- THEY CAN REQUEST HELP FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. When we were hit by the hurricanes did you see us crying over not being treated fair. No, cause we go to work everyday and with that money we make we purchase insurance on our homes and don't have to ask other people to pay for things when something happens. Please if you can't find anything better to come back at me with then you are just boring me.

kanye: You are a total fuck wad. Thought I am black I have no problem saying you are a nigger, a total fucking no talent nigger. You are an embarrassment to me and my people. You child are a fucking nigger who gives black people all over a bad name. Your mama messed up when she didn't beat any sense into you nor teach any manners to your racist ass. There are so man talented people of all colors who deserve the chance you have been given who would have been gracious in that situation. I will laugh at your cracked out ass when you are in the same broke ass situation as MC Hammer.

Tsk, I live in Boston where the Big Dig has turned into a complete disaster...and we dont blame the mayor, we blame the governor and the leader of the Turnpike Authority,

All in all, its a Federally Funded venture. Massachusetts didnt finance it on its own, just like Nevada didnt finance Hoover Dam on their own. Congress Votes on huge projects like these.

The Levees seemed like a problem everyone didnt give a F about. Was Louisiana foolish when they didnt address it? yes. but New Orleans isnt even the Capitol of Louisiana, Baton Rouge is. The Mayor reports to the governor? The governor spends the taxes for the state?
Are you missing something?

FEMA has a purpose to be present no matter what went wrong. And they didnt show up.

There was no way to anticipate the aftermath of Katrina to be so harsh. This why Fema exists.
NYC had bloody aftermath after 9/11 but all I hear is Guiliani listing it on his resume.

You people are DUMB, man!

Exactly Brittney, Arctic stop acting all high and mighty like you know everything, you're getting information off of websites, that doesn't make you know everything, that makes you able to copy and paste o.O The Gov knew the levies wern't able to hold that much pressure, but did they fix it? NO and now they're building them EXACTLY the SAME WAY! next time a hurricane hits don't complain about being homeless

Brittany, Actually I can come back at you,

I live in MA, but my (old)er parents retired in a community by Tampa FL. So Ive spent a little time down there. Yes its white. The demographics of their county are 98% White. Yes they live on a coastal property, but the demographics of FL do not compare to Louisiana. Maybe you should research this. FL has 15% Blacks. Louisiana has double, 32% Blacks. Its on the census Bureau if you need to look.

Honey, ya see, Jeb Bush is the governor of FL and Ive seen Bush by his side on Fox News at almost every relief effort since 2003. Youre not gonna get the same outcome as FL. They arent going to get the same resources as FL. FL is NOT gonna cry over being treated Fair with Jeb as governor.

The Real world doesnt work that way sweetheart. Neither do Politics.

You need to stop your mentality that the world runs according to YOU. haha

Shady, I rock. and I am right.

Not only that, but I use online resources because youre on the internet and I know youre too lazy to find this out in any text book. I use Logic. You use Rhetoric.

The only thing you can do to retort to me is to say what youve been saying over and over and over again with nothin else to make your argument convincing. You cant even provide any evidence other than rhetoric.

I just have fun poking the holes.
