Britney Ices K-Fed

Newly single and icy cool, Britney Spears took to the world famous ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center in New York tonight, in a post-filing-of-papers celebratory skate. With K-Fed in the deep freeze, she has reason to celebrate.

Brit's manager Larry Rudolph helped the blonde pop tart stay upright, while hordes of amazed tourists took pictures and watched the teen idol skate. Once Britney got her balance, she was twirling and putting on quite a show -- just two hours after news of her split was scooped by TMZ.

Just before skating, she did some damage at a local Gap store to pick up an outfit for the rink. She looked fine in her slick black pants, plunging neckline and white hat (the good guys always wear a white hat).

She had been seen earlier leaving her hotel, and dining at Italian bistro Baldoria, protected by dark glasses and a large bodyguard.

18. I can see that Britney Spears wanted relief after that divorce. She needed to get away from Kevin Federline. Now Britney can get finished with that album she was making and find some hot and exciting musicians to perform on it. And Kevin needs a major and serious reality check and stop living in a fantasy world. She needed to get out of that madness!

19. @ #24. You're coming off as an ass. Quit while you're ahead. I'm honestly very happy that Britney decided to divorce Kevin. He definitely would have ruined her career. I'm just glad she got out of that before it's too late. I would have hated to see her on the Whitney Houston downslope. I know Britney has many haters, but so what. It's not like she's on the same boat as Mariah, and Whitney when they were on downslopes.

Another thing. It would be nice if you all would stop worrying about Britney's two boys. They are both very young. I'm sure they will be just fine. Britney is a good mom, but even parents make mistakes. She has family and close friends that will help her get through this. Thus, helping her take care of the Sean and Jayden. Britney is on the road to a great comeback. I'm really bored with the pop scene right now. I need Britney!

26. Good luck to Ms. Spears. My biological mom was a "superstar" who gave me(and my twin sister) to my "superpolitician" biological father (who later abandoned and separated us. 27. I am so happy for Britney! Iguess like the rest of us girls, we do eventually go thru the badboy-loser phase! I don't know about a pre-nup, but even if she didn't have it, it'll be worth it to get him out of her life. And sole custody for the kids. KUDOS for her. Kevin reminds me of the stupid immature fathers i see around town and it would def be in their best interest to go with mama.! Congratulations Britney! You are now a woman! 30. While Brits skates it up in New York, celebrating being newly single, K-Fed finds out by text msg over dinner, while in Toronto promoting his CD and apparently his Rock solid marriage. The Loser didnt even see it coming.
A local news station got great footage of K-Fed at dinner, looking stunned as he was retrieving phone or text msgs.
