Daniel Craig "Battered" as 007

Playing a blonde James Bond is no easy mission. Daniel Craig steps into the super-spy shoes of Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan (sorry George Lazenby, you did nothing for the franchise), and he's got the bruises to prove it!

"I lost a cap but that was the least of my worries," says Craig of his on-set accidents. "I had bruises. I was battered everyday. I had a black eye. You always get hit where the padding isn't."

In previous installments, while Halle Berry and Ursula Andress left us agape with barely-there bathing suits, but it's Daniel's hot Bond-bod sporting sexy trunks in "Casino Royale." His secret for looking so damned good in the short shorts? Five days a week in the gym. "There is no secret. Push weights, run around." Somebody does it better.

1. This one doesn't look the part of James Bond. They get worst and worst.

2. Pierce Brosnan was the best Bond. Sean Connery was too much of a chauvenist pig, which somehow was accepted way back then. When I heard Connery admit in an interview that "Yes, he has struck women - they need slapping every so often" clinched it for me that he's a total loser.

3. Daniel Craig looks HOT as Bond. I've never really cared for the Bond movies but this one I can't wait to see.

6. Ew this one will be another George, I dont care what you say, he isnt the right stuff. I can think of 10 other actors that would have fit the bill, whatever its done. Pierce was trully the sexah one with class even, Sean well, hes the first and had a ton of class and was a GREAT Bond. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

7. Pierce Brosnan never did it for me *yawn* for some reason.....he just seemed so bland. DC however has definitely gotten my heartbeat up and i can hardly wait to see the flick. i think he'll give the 007 series a shot in the arm. he's hot! wow, what a shape!!

8. go back and do your homework. Bond was never a pretty boy, but was rough around the edges. i am willing to sacrifice smooth and pretty for a more realistic treatment of a franchise that needed to get back to its roots.

HUGH JACKMAN WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT BOND...SAME WITH RUSSEL CROWE. THIS MOVIE WAS JUST BADLY MISCAST FROM THE BEGINNING. DANIEL CRAIG WOULD HAVE BEEN A REALLY COOL VILLIAN...OR EVEN A GOOD RIVAL FOR BOND. BUT, HE JUST ISN"T JAMES BOND. INSTEAD OF SITTING AROUND ATTACKING THE FANS FOR DIAGREEING WITH THEIR CASTING CHOICE, THE PRODUCERS OF THE BOND FILMS AND THE STUDIO EXECUTIVES THAT BACKED THEM ON THIS CASTING CHOICE NEED TO HAVE THEIR HEADS EXAMINED!!!

11. Daniel Craig is an accomplished actor, and he looks GOOD too. The combination should bode well for the Bond series.

13. Pierce Brosnan is the only James Bond for me. He combined sex, charm, ruthlessness and sophistication. Connery is a real life idiot, so not my type, whereas Pierce is a caring man and a devoted husband and the most gorgeous James Bond ever. Daniel has a good bod, but a face like a potato.

This writer obviously has no idea what they are talking about,
Lazenbys bond film On her Majestys Secret Service is considered by many people to be one of if not the best of all the bond movies.
YOu want to see a james bond who is truly Vulnerable, look no further than the final scene of On her Majestys secret service when Bonds New bride played by Dianna Rigg is shot dead in his arms, by Ernst Blofeld.
great performance by a very talented actor.

Most people who bash Lazenby havent even seen On her Majestys secret service. they just assume he only did one movie so he was crap.

15. Weighing in with my opinion: I thought the Movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was probably (IMHO) the best Bond movie made. My favorite, in fact. Not because of George Lazenby, but IN SPITE of Lazenby. He was fine/acceptable/appropriate in the part of Bond. But I had never heard of the guy before (or since, except for a few bit-parts). Bond was shown to be a human being with feelings, and he fell in love, and had his heart broken. That being said, I think that any actor as Bond, be it Connery, or Brosnan, or Dalton, or whomever, would have made that movie the great movie it was.

As for Daniel Craig, I happen to have a preference for blond/blue and I think DC is Hot Hot Hot.... I can't wait to see the new movie when it comes out, simply because I love OHMSS, and I'm the minority. DC was chosen for the part for a reason, let's give the guy a chance. It is said that Bond gets his heart broken in this one, too. I, for one, enjoy seeing the 'human' side of this tough, sophisticated, worldy character, and know that he, too can cry. I know I won't mind the eye candy, for sure! You go wit' yer bad self, Daniel Craig!!
