Daniel Craig "Battered" as 007

Daniel Craig is an accomplished actor, and he looks GOOD too. The combination should bode well for the Bond series.

THE POINT IS...JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A GOOD OR GREAT ACTOR, DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CAN OR SHOULD FIT EVERY ROLE...THAT WOULD INCLUDE THE ROLE OF BOND. HUGH JACKMAN WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT BOND...SAME WITH RUSSEL CROWE. THIS MOVIE WAS JUST BADLY MISCAST FROM THE BEGINNING. DANIEL CRAIG WOULD HAVE BEEN A REALLY COOL VILLIAN...OR EVEN A GOOD RIVAL FOR BOND. BUT, HE JUST ISN"T JAMES BOND. INSTEAD OF SITTING AROUND ATTACKING THE FANS FOR DIAGREEING WITH THEIR CASTING CHOICE, THE PRODUCERS OF THE BOND FILMS AND THE STUDIO EXECUTIVES THAT BACKED THEM ON THIS CASTING CHOICE NEED TO HAVE THEIR HEADS EXAMINED!!!

This guy looks more like a criminal than Bond - I say let Diddy play Bond. There's a guy that is classy and sexy!!!!!!!!1

I think I'd sure prefer to see Diddy as Bond than Craig.

Lazenbys bond film On her Majestys Secret Service is considered by many people to be one of if not the best of all the bond movies.
YOu want to see a james bond who is truly Vulnerable, look no further than the final scene of On her Majestys secret service when Bonds New bride played by Dianna Rigg is shot dead in his arms, by Ernst Blofeld.
great performance by a very talented actor.

Most people who bash Lazenby havent even seen On her Majestys secret service. they just assume he only did one movie so he was crap.

Weighing in with my opinion: I thought the Movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was probably (IMHO) the best Bond movie made. My favorite, in fact. Not because of George Lazenby, but IN SPITE of Lazenby. He was fine/acceptable/appropriate in the part of Bond. But I had never heard of the guy before (or since, except for a few bit-parts). Bond was shown to be a human being with feelings, and he fell in love, and had his heart broken. That being said, I think that any actor as Bond, be it Connery, or Brosnan, or Dalton, or whomever, would have made that movie the great movie it was.

As for Daniel Craig, I happen to have a preference for blond/blue and I think DC is Hot Hot Hot.... I can't wait to see the new movie when it comes out, simply because I love OHMSS, and I'm the minority. DC was chosen for the part for a reason, let's give the guy a chance. It is said that Bond gets his heart broken in this one, too. I, for one, enjoy seeing the 'human' side of this tough, sophisticated, worldy character, and know that he, too can cry. I know I won't mind the eye candy, for sure! You go wit' yer bad self, Daniel Craig!!

What's wrong woth George Lazenby, I thought he was a great Bond, way better than Dalton who nearly ruined the whole series with his bad acting! Daniel Craig was a bad choice as Bond and I hope the producers will come to their senses when this movie tanks!

Diddy as Bond? C'mon, that's absurd... That's like giving Daniel Craig the title character in a remake of "Shaft." When actors are chosen for parts in a movie, the first thing the casting directors do is look at head shots. 'Looks' is the first deciding factor. Then they narrow down the field and take it from there. To give Diddy the Bond part is going against the grain of every single aspect of who James Bond is, according to Ian Fleming's description of the guy. Diddy may not be my favorite entertainer, but I'm sure there are other roles better suited for him, his looks, his style and his character.

I will offer my sincerest apologies to Mr. Craig. I, too, was a naysayer regarding him being the new James Bond. I have seen Casino Royale, and he did an excellent job. I'm woman enough to admit I was totally wrong about him.

I look forward to his continued portrayal of this character with great anticipation.

Sean Connery ws by far the best bond. Why? becuasse he best carried the character that is James Bond from the books to the big screen. He was SMOOTHER than any other actor (brosnan was rehearsed, craig is the opposite of what bond is, was and should be, and lets not forget that casino royale was originally a spoof lol moore was okay but a pretty boy lol) Watch the scene on the Ning Po in "You Only Live Twice" and you will see what I mean. his line dosn't come off rehersed, yet very real, and true to the style of the novels he turns the table on her with hsi charms. Bond is supposed to be a contridiction, brutish, yet charming. Sophisticated, but always ready to pounce on someone if need be. no other bond actor really captured the real character...
