No Faith in Underwood

136. Gisele, if you don't listen to country music, how can you have an opinion of Carrie? I am a true country music fan, and believe me, Carrie Underwood is the real deal. She has more talent and class than most people in the music industry. The way that she sings and performs is fantastic! She is only 23 years old and has already done what many try for years to do, and don't succeed. Faith Hill was very, very disrespectful with her reaction. She was not joking. She just thought the award would be hers, since she put out a new CD and toured with hubby Tim McGraw. Poor Tim. There goes those political dreams. Gisele, you are the pitiful one.

137. Hey bobbie, get a grip. First of all, do you know Faith Hill personally? If not, then you do not know who she really is. I have seen her since the start of her career too, and have never seen her be silly or playful. The point is that this was an awards event. She should have had enough professionalism to keep her big mouth shut and accept it. Hill spoiled a great moment for Carrie Underwood, who, by the way, has an excellent voice. I agree that Martina has the best voice in country music, however, Carrie is a very close second. Faith's performance on Monday night was so full of hubris. She really thought she was all it. What a fake!

138. Faith was being completely disrespectful to Carrie. This was the biggest award for the female nominees of the evening...not a time to joke in any form or fashion.. Wonder how Mrs. Hill would have felt if she had won and another nominee pulled a stunt like she did. What are you teaching your daughers, Faith? How to be rude, disrespectful, poor losers, or big bullies? Carrie, welcome to showbusiness...hope you can find some positive mentors in Nashville.

139. I don't think that Carrie Underwood was cheating her way to win that award. Carrie has had hits off her album, has toured constantly this year in front of many fans and has done just as much activity as Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson and Martina McBride. The thing is, Carrie got her music out there and her album sold over 3 million! But it's not about the sales, it's her talent and she has gotten much better with her singing and performing. Yes, she won on American Idol, but she now belongs to Nashville and the world right now! She has been just as competitive as her female competition and even male competition like Chesney, Paisley, Urban and others.I like that people like Brad Paisley have praised Carrie and her talents. Hill didn't have to do that reaction on TV--she should have accepted the loss gracefully. She wouldn't have had the crazy reaction she's getting.

140. No sympathy for Hill as she is one who has changed country music into some type of " Rap Rock " anything for money. So called country songs are so bad these days I can't stand to listen. I like Carry, but managers can't wait to start bringing in the dollars ASAP, name of the game !

141. Carrie Underwood was given an award she truly deserved. Indeed, she had the best year out of all of the performers nominated. Sure, I would have loved to see Martina McBride win, but she didn't have the year that Carrie Underwood did.

For anyone to say that Carrie didn't pay her dues or cheated her way to the top, just goes to show how much that person doesn't know. There is no one at the top of the music industry today that hasn't paid their fair share of dues. Carrie Underwood used whatever means she could to make it and frankly, it worked for her. She has talent and no one can dispute that.

Faith Hill, whether this was a joke or not, it was not well timed, well played or well received. She should have the grace to truly apologize publicly.

I'm grateful that the country music industry has the amazing female talent it has and will continue to enjoy it.

142. ( love this whole thing. Faith should be outraged...She and the other nominees lost to a glorified Reality Show Winner. That is a huge slap in the face to any real singer or musician who has worked their ass off to make it, only to be stabbed in the back in favor of a Reality Show Winner??? WTF??? Faith Hill...will probably be asked to make a phony apology for her reaction. But I for one...think it was refreshing to see. I am tired of all the phony brown nosing in the entertainment industry...and all of the pretending that everybody gets along...because they don't. Besides most of these award nominations and wins as well as radio station air play for artists is bought anyway by the record companies!!!

If anything...Faith was probably angry because she was promised the award in advance in order to convince her to make an appearance on the show...a secret industry practice that happens all the time with some of the less important award shows. What we were probably seeing is Faith's real reaction to being duped to appear on the show...only to be betrayed by the fixed Underwood win!!! Turns out that i'm hearing that a lot of people in the Country Music Industry are angry that Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw are democrates. Seems they are trying to blacklist them here like the Dixie Chicks!!! All the reason in the world for me to support Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom to one's own political views...and the freedom to the pursuit of happyness....through the freedom of will that God gave us...matters. The Country Community would love to see the U.S. turned into a fascist dictatorship akin to NAZI Germany or The Communist Solviet Union...and if we, and they....aren't careful...that is exactly what we are going to get!!! And all of us will be made to regret it!!!

143. She's a Loser, he's a Loser. Watch out if you buy concert tickets and he's alone that he's not too LOADED to perform. He almost caused a riot last year at Mohegan Sun when he showed up almost 2 hours late and bailed after 15 minutes. That was better than the year before when he puked backstage while the Warren Brothers tried to cover for him. Thanks for the $400.00 of worthless tickets Tim. You're a total RODNEY. I'll bet your wife is just as awful as you are.

she knew the camera was on her and knew it was going to carrie because carrie had so many other wins.
she came right up to the camera and made a joke because it was obvious the award was going to carrie.
faith has more class than that.

On CMT ... the other night they were showing an old clip of Faith doing the same thing a couple of years ago when her and Tim McGraw were up for the same award ( Best Song). They were back stage and when they were announcing the names and they said Tim McGraw she was CLEARLY joking and saying " What! This is rediculous!!) They ( Tim and Faith) were jokinly kinda shoving each other as she was jokingly saying "What!!"

After their Soul 2 Soul concert fiasco in Washington D.C. this summer (we all got refunds because Tim was sick and couldn't perform) and now this showing of poor sportsmanship I am finding less and less reason to like the McGraws. It's obvious from the video that she was indeed "ticked" that Carrie had won. I don't buy the explanation that she was "joking". You could tell in her eyes that she was angry. Believe me, if "American Idol" been around when Faith, Martina, etc. were starting their careers I would have bet money that they would have auditioned just like Carrie. Faith is just upset that her career (and looks) are waning!

150. I think it's a little different going up against your husband for an award and going up against an up and coming singer who threatens your status as the most beautiful woman in country music. I think Faith is indeed resentful of Carrie or anyone else young and talented.
