No Faith in Underwood

"Pitchy" Carrie Underwood better watch her twangin' back.

At last night's Country Music Awards, the "American Idol" warbler took home Female Vocalist of the Year -- and nobody was apparently more shocked than fellow nominee Faith Hill, who was shown waiting backstage when the announcement was made; looking angry and yelling "WHAT?!" into the camera before storming off!

Her manager claims she was just joking around. In a statement, Miss Hill tells TMZ, "The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year." Ain't she country?!

19. Yeah for you Carrie. I love your CD, your music and you can sing girl. I love Faith too, however she threw her arms up like she won then realized she did not.
Faith and Carrie have a lot in common. They both look good and can really sing.

25. I love this whole thing. Faith should be outraged...She and the other nominees lost to a glorified Reality Show Winner. That is a huge slap in the face to any real singer or musician who has worked their ass off to make it, only to be stabbed in the back in favor of a Reality Show Winner??? WTF??? Faith Hill...will probably be asked to make a phony apology for her reaction. But I for one...think it was refreshing to see. I am tired of all the phony brown nosing in the entertainment industry...and all of the pretending that everybody gets along...because they don't. Besides most of these award nominations and wins as well as radio station air play for artists is bought anyway by the record companies!!!

If anything...Faith was probably angry because she was promised the award in advance in order to convince her to make an appearance on the show...a secret industry practice that happens all the time with some of the less important award shows. What we were probably seeing is Faith's real reaction to being duped to appear on the show...only to be betrayed by the fixed Underwood win!!! Turns out that i'm hearing that a lot of people in the Country Music Industry are angry that Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw are democrates. Seems they are trying to blacklist them here like the Dixie Chicks!!! All the reason in the world for me to support Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom to one's own political views...and the freedom to the pursuit of happyness....through the freedom of will that God gave us...matters. The Country Community would love to see the U.S. turned into a fascist dictatorship akin to NAZI Germany or The Communist Solviet Union...and if we, and they....aren't careful...that is exactly what we are going to get!!! And all of us will be made to regret it!!!

30. And how many artists do you think get discovered in talent shows, beauty pageants and the like? Just because her 'talent show' was televised makes her a hack? Face it reality shows are the new Star Search! Faith Hill was discovered on some small country show in Tennessee, and became a HUGE success in a short period of time. I'm guessing that makes her a hack too right? Justin Timberlake, Dave Chappelle, Rosie O' Donnell, Vanessa Williams, and countless more. All hacks right? Check your facts Mr. Holmes!
