Celebrity Feuds
No Faith in Underwood

"Pitchy" Carrie Underwood better watch her twangin' back.

At last night's Country Music Awards, the "American Idol" warbler took home Female Vocalist of the Year -- and nobody was apparently more shocked than fellow nominee Faith Hill, who was shown waiting backstage when the announcement was made; looking angry and yelling "WHAT?!" into the camera before storming off!

Her manager claims she was just joking around. In a statement, Miss Hill tells TMZ, "The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year." Ain't she country?!

47. I am a Faith Hill fan, but what happened last night was true gesture and not a joke. I am glad she lost.

48. You people are nuts! I can't believe any of you seriously believe Faith's reaction was anything but a joke. Nor can i believe this is getting so much attention. Must be a slow news day. It is so clearly a joke and quite funny in my opinion. She was clearly joking around with someone from the moment the camera was on her and she waited until after Underwoods name was read. She also didn't seem surprised at all. Plus she was looking directly at the camera the whole time and her whole expression is quite mocking.
Finally, putting aside whether Underwood deserved it or not, it was pretty much a given to those of us who follow country music that Underwood would win in this category, given that she was nominated in other categories and her songs were as well, more than any other woman in that list.
I love gossip as much as the next one but I really don't get the point of trying to knock others just for the hell of it nor the manufacturing of a scandal.

49. I think the video speaks for itself. As they're awaiting the results, Faith is the only one who looks smug, like she just knows she's going to win. Then she throws out her arms in celebration until she realized that her name wasn't called. LMAO! How embarrassing for her. This was not a joke, she's just a poor loser. Bitch!

50. iThe song was "How do I Live", for the movie "The Rock" and I dont think that was Faith Hill, it was Trisha Yearwood.

52. It was not the movie "The Rock" it was for "ConAir." And, yes, it was Trisha Yearwood and was MANY years ago.

53. I also wanted to add something about the song she sang last night. I am a big fan of Faith Hills but that song just didnt do anything for me. She acted as if she was a bit stoned while singing it. I suppose I just have to say I was a little dissapointed in Faith all together. Maybe she was stressed or something?

54. I'm sorry but that was NOT a joke. The look of pure shock and anger on her face when she finally realized that it wasn't her name that was called was totally real. And even if it was a joke, which I don't think it was... why is that a good thing? Instead of being happy for her and showing some respect... she's gonna do that and basically steal the spotlight away from the winner?
Either way... Faith is a bitch...

55. She threw a better fit than most little girls I know when they don't get their way. She was NOT joking, and to try to cover it up and say she was is the joke. It makes her look like a spoiled little b*tch, oh, that's right, she is!!! Carrie is good, and is the up and coming, but Martina should have won.

56. Faith has great talent all of you talk to much sh*t!

Yea so it pissed her off that some new artist won, which in my opinion shouldnt have even won American Idol, but oh well she can sing (I guess).

Hell yea she reacted I would have to if I thought I shouldve taken it anyday anywhere!

57. Raccer, on #40, it should be "you're" and not "your" -- I really and truly believe you ARE so much more educated and 'with it' than country music fans, as you so graciously tell us all. Really. (Keep on reading, honey --)

58. I am NOT much on country music, but I just so happened to be watching it due to the fact my husband enjoys country music and wanted to watch the award show.
My personal opinion (even though everyone has their own) is that Faith Hill has been in the music industry long enough to know that under any award show, they are all captured under the camera's eye when they make their winner announcements Therefore if she say's (she was only joking) that it was a misunderstanding, then that was sickening behavior on her part for carrying on in such a way. Carrie Underwood has worked hard for the last year as a female vocalist and she deserves each and every award given to her

59. If it was a joke, why didn't she stay there and laugh it off? They need to come up with a better excuse. I noticed it when it actually happened, it was no joke, she was caught off guard, and that was her own natural reaction. She never could carry a decent long tune, unlike Martina or Carrie, well until she had singing lessons (that Tim probably paid for) after she married him that got her where she's at now. Her main song at that time was a remake of Janis Joplin's "Another piece of my Heart". Her rise to stardom is based on a celebrity marriage. So everyone gets to the top in their own way...
