Celebrity Feuds
No Faith in Underwood

"Pitchy" Carrie Underwood better watch her twangin' back.

At last night's Country Music Awards, the "American Idol" warbler took home Female Vocalist of the Year -- and nobody was apparently more shocked than fellow nominee Faith Hill, who was shown waiting backstage when the announcement was made; looking angry and yelling "WHAT?!" into the camera before storming off!

Her manager claims she was just joking around. In a statement, Miss Hill tells TMZ, "The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year." Ain't she country?!

91. It looks to me that Faith expected to win, they way she held her arms up in a victory pose...when heard someone else's name, and I sure she was shocked. The natural reaction is to utter a one-word response...

92. I watched the youtube video several times. Faith clearly thought she had won and was STUNNED. You could see her fidgiting and looking very antsy ready to walk out and clearly was not listening - maybe thats where the shock came from. Facts are girlfriend - you LOST. And the cheesy remarks she and her manager are making to deny are stupid. Own up to it be a woman and get on with it. You were a "sore loser" and thats life. We all want to win why try and act like you did not want it?

93. Didn't anyone notice that before the anouncement of the winner of best female vocalist, Faith was on camera with the other nominees. If you read her lips, she was talking to someone else off camera, not knowing the camera was still on saying, "I hope that motherfucking son of a bitch doesn't win!" I was shocked and played it back for several other people. They were just as shocked. People should take a look for themselves.

94. RE: Faith Hill

Faith Hill & hubby Tim McGraw are known as "liberals" in Nashville.

Nashville is known as "conservative".

Hill & McGraw have been the subject of much hatred for their liberal views in various right wing media over the last two years.

Hill & Mcgraw are known to be pro-gay and were very public with their feelings towards the Bush administration and on how it mis-handled the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

Why do I mention any of this?

Because what we are witnessing with this fabricated Faith Hill controversy is the beginning of Hill & McGraw being "Dixie-Chicked" by Nashville.

Hill was obviously being playful when the annoucement was made that Underwood won.

Yet - somehow we are being led to believe otherwise? Why? By whom?

Follow the source of who put it out there in the media that Faith Hill was being a sore loser.

95. I never even noticed Faith's reaction....the whole time i was watching the CMA's i was wondering why Anthony Federov was with her? Are they in a relationship??

96. I love both Faith and Carrie but I feel(and their will be lots who do not agree with me) that the song Faith sang last night showed WHY she didn't win the award. It was a difficult song to keep track of as a listener. Her reaction was no joke and she wasn't acting. Actually if she had acted that well in The Stepford Wives she might be making the transition from song to film! Everybody HOPES to win and Faith will win again down the line but she definitely showed her poor professionalism last night.

98. Go Carrie... Faith acted inappropriately.. she needs to apologize to carrie and the country music community. She was too sure of herself and lost. Carrie deserves it. It doesnt matter how a person gets somewhere, it matters what they do when they getthere... Carrie proved herself

99. Yeah that was a little to real Faith sorry! I don't believe for a minute it was a joke.

100. Yeah i think this was a joke i'm pretty sure it wasw a play on kanye west at the mtv europe awards last week! I dont't think it's in faith's character.

101. The movie was "Con Air", not "The Rock". Nicolas Cage was in the movie.

102. That was not a joke. Faith was obviously ticked off. This is a PR uh-oh. She must think the general public are idiots (well, she may have a point there) if she expects her explanation to fly. I for one, think it was tasteless of her to react that way (joke or not) and is doubely tasteless to try and explain it away as a joke.

103. Faith Hill was not joking, and Faith needs to tell the truth that she is jealous of Carrie Underwood. Faith thinks that the whole world revolves around her, Tim and their family. I watched the awards last time and I noticed that when Carrie Underwood won an award, that Faith was not happy then. Faith thinks that she is always going to be number one--well that is not the case--there will always be another person to get in the country music industry.

104. I commented to my husband during Faith's performance that she looked frumpy. I thought she screamed her song out like she was angry, her eye makeup was stark, her hair was lank, and I asked "What's wrong with Faith?" I say something is wrong and she is impaired in some way. Gramma

105. If this was a joke, it was a bad one. If it was her natural reaction, I have to say that it was a great one! I responded the exact same way when I heard Carrie Underwood's name announced. Not to say that Underwood isn't talented, but when you have Faith, Martina, and Sara up for the nomination, I think it should have gone to one of them. I don't think that Sara has ever won it, and God knows it should have been her turn. She's put in her time.
