Celebrity Feuds
No Faith in Underwood

"Pitchy" Carrie Underwood better watch her twangin' back.

At last night's Country Music Awards, the "American Idol" warbler took home Female Vocalist of the Year -- and nobody was apparently more shocked than fellow nominee Faith Hill, who was shown waiting backstage when the announcement was made; looking angry and yelling "WHAT?!" into the camera before storming off!

Her manager claims she was just joking around. In a statement, Miss Hill tells TMZ, "The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year." Ain't she country?!

121. In my opnion, Faith Hill has always been just another pretty face. She has a mediorce voice and I have never seen a live performance of hers that sounded good-she's always off pitch. Both Faith and Carrie performed at the CMA's the other night, and Carrie was clearly better. It would have actually looked unfair if Faith would have won the award. I think Faith's reaction was real and was of jealously and anger--that her days in the spotlight are over. She should use this publicity stunt to her advantage while she can.

122. I think it was hilarious! I love Faith Hill's music and she is so much more talented. Carrie Underwood is BORING!!!!!!!

123. She looked right into the camera and said what...dramatic steps stomping off...it was a joke people. I knew immediately. She raised her arms nodded then did the"what" directly into the camera...if he hadn't stopped filming they would have caught her coming back saying, "just kidding!"..Anyone who has followed Faith knows this. They know she is silly and fun and classy. She was playing and having a good time. But like the media always doesn, they made into something that it wasn't. Always ready to tear into someone.

124. What a liar!!! She knows her reaction was not a joke. The actual joke was the fact that she completely forgot about the cameras being on her. Now she is trying to play it off. Carrie won the award fair and square, give the girl the respect due her. No matter how she did it, she did it. The people have spoken!!!! Faith learn some tact!

125. It wasn't too hard of a job for the media to make something out of that!!! Where is the class you speak of?

126. If Faith showed her ass, so be it. Second, fine, somebody was honest enough to not put on their fake smile and look happy to have lost. Besides, I don't think Faith has anything to worry about or any reason to care about awards, considering that she sells millions of records and millions of tickets. And she's f***king Tim McGraw! Any female artist in her right mind would trade a warehouse full of awards for that! Now watch all the so-called "fans" turn against her. This would be their perfect excuse, given that she has spoken out against the war and the state of this country.

127. Sorry, but I WAS a big Faith Hill fan, but no more. I am appalled at her behavior, and don't think she was joking at all. She is NOT that talented of an actress. Carrie Underwood is extremely talented, and has had 3 number one hits this year. Faith has had NONE. I have been extremely disappointed in her song choices this year, and even though I feel Faith is extremely talented, you still have to keep the audience interested, and none of her songs this year have done that. Carrie, on the other hand, has been putting out good music, is extremely talented, and absolutely DESERVED to win.

128. You know whats great about todays technology (internet)? We no longer have to accept how the entertainment industry 'spins' stories the way they want us to see it (their way)! Stop insulting our intellegence. Now they're trying to tell us we didn't see what we saw.

Look, it is what it is. We've seen the replay a hundred times. Faith is only making herself look even more ridiculous by her lame 'just joking' excuse. She was told by the CMA association she would recieve the award for 'best female artist of the year'. Thats why she was so confident, then shocked, it was an automatic reaction to the deception. She was like 'WTF', I was told something different. Sad, but thats the industry for you. It's all a bunch of BS.

Faith should really shake it and go on Oprah and tell it like it is. Hell she's got nothing to lose. Its not like she's going to attend another award show. She'll be the laughing stock.

Faith...get the last laugh

129. Faith....be real. We know you were told by the CMA assoc. that you would win, that's why you were so pissed. Tell the world how you were duped. We all understand the reaction under those circumstances. They screwed you, screw them.

Not to minimized Faiths talent, however I do think Carrie was deserving of the award. She has one amazing voice. Country was in need of someone like her.

Tell it like it is. We'll love you for it.

130. I still think it was a joke...poorly timed. No one is allowed to have a sense of humor anymore. It's no sin to cut up and be silly!
Carrie has several songs at the top of the charts. Horizon award definitely should have gone to her.
However, vocally, she can't hold a candle to the others she was up against. Come on...someone has better vocals than Martina???
Actually Sara Evans could have won that one. They all have wonderful singing voices...live or on CD. Carrie doesn't sound all that great singing live.

131. Good lord, people, it was just a joke! It may have been poorly timed, but it was a joke none the less. Besides, Carries Underwood is cute and sweet, I'll give her that, but she hits more flat notes when singing live than all of the other nominees combined. I think it's funny that Faith had the balls to do what we all KNOW the others (nominees) were thinking! I've been laughing about it for days....

132. Little Miss Hill showed us her true colors....it was not a joke and anyone who believes that is stupid. She had to say it was a joke because she's not going to admit to doing it out of anger or a "reaction". So of course she's going to say it was a joke. Puh-leez, people. Watch the dang video a few times....the bitch was pissed...end of story.

133. It doesnt matter how long you are in the business, what counts is what you have done for the year. And face it, Carrie has had a great year. If Carrie didnt get it then, Sara should have. As far as Faith goes, I dont think she was joking and if she was, yes it was in poor taste. Ever since Faith and Tim have gotten so involved in the Katrina and Bush situation, they act like they are better. The CMA awards are not based on what you do outside of the music industry. It is And before she bashes Bush for what "he didnt do" with the hurricane, why werent the state officials doing what they were supposed to? Bush isnt supposed to have to go and to every town and issue an evacuation order to get them out. The fact is, Katrina victims were told to leave and they didnt. As far as the Dixie Chicks go, they shouldnt have apologized if they didnt mean it. But hey, like all Democrats, they make promises they cant keep, tell lies and try to cover them up to make themselves look good.

134. carrie deserved the win.I believe faith was kidding she also done it to tim one time. Gretchen aslo won both honors two years ago on her first time out.

135. #33 and #42... not here to be a smart*ss... Just wanted to let the both of you know that the movie was actually "ConAir". LeeAnn and Trisha both did a version of the song "How Do I Live".
As for the Faith Hill reaction, I've always admired Faith and her talent. However, that was a true reaction. Definitely not a joke. She seems to have gotten "too big for her britches" as they say and expected to win. It's obvious that it was real when you see her from the side leaving the stage/camera area. She has surely tarnished her reputation now.
She should quit trying to cover her butt with a bad excuse and humble herself and apologize. She would get a lot more respect for being honest.

:o)
