Borat Dead? Sacha Kills the 'Stash

It looks like the Gypsy-Jew-Woman-Uzbekie bashing might be on hold for a bit.

Sacha Baron Cohen, who wrestled a naked fat man in his big screen hit, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," has taken a blade to his signature moustache.

The newly clean-cut comic enjoyed a nice, quiet lunch at Pat's in Los Angeles yesterday (not once trying to order a glass of fresh horse urine), proving that he can live a normal life despite his skyrocketing fame. Cohen was seen scooting around L.A. in his Mini Cooper on Tuesday.

17. Best comedy I have seen this summer, although I have always been a Borat fan. Still trying to separate what was scripted, and what wasnt!

18. Storm_ice et al:

Borat and Ali G are both characters of Sacha - the funny British comedian you refer to. Bruno is another character. Ali G is a caracature of wigga style.

19. He should have waited to shave so the rag mags would not sniff him out as being worth following.

Once he combs his hair and gets a bit of a tan again.. its going to be hello camera !

20. Sorry storm_ice but your wrong about his "coming to fame" in Madonna video, or your source is wrong not sure which. Maybe in America but he was already known in Europe. He been a writer for many years and wrote for the "The 11 O'clock Show" back in the late 90's. He was in "Jack and Jeremy's Police 4" back in 1995. He's been well known for a while to those of us in the know with British television.

I watched the movie and it was hilarious. He's quite the comedian.

21. Borat real identity is Ali G?????? WRONG!

This is Sacha Baron Cohen as it clearly states in the article. He's been around since the 90's and I never even knew he was in a "Moandonna" video. So that not how he came to fame in my book. SOME of the characters he plays are Ali G, Borat, and Bruno.

22. I saw the movie it was funny. I had to close my eyes during certain scenes "weak stomach" but over all it was entertaining. And that's all I expected out of any movie so the laughs were a bonus.

23. A little research would be GREAT. Borat has a moustache...Sach Baron Cohen does NOT and never has.

24. This movie was holarious. You may think he's racist and filthy, but through his characters he reveals the worst in people.

25. Jane Gray, you missed the entire point of what makes that scene funny. It's SO over-the-top grotesque, so absolutely disgusting, you have to laugh. I was thinking about it afterward- what's so brilliant is that if it were even a SLIGHTLY decent-looking guy Borat was wrestling with, there would be no joke. It would just be gross. But his very grotesqueness is what brings the humor up to brilliance.

26. This is a non-story, folks.

#1 - The mustache is a character thing. On his own time, like at awards ceremonies, he's clean shaven.

#2 - His last name's actually Baron Cohen (it's a double name).

27. I'd let him hit it...

28. Jane Gray, I'm sorry that you have been offended by this movie... But, this movie is the funniest movie I think I've ever seen, it is not meant to be porn, as Dave mentioned it's more about "Shock Humor" if you will. It's not the actor's, director's, or producer's fault that you can't do your homework on a rated "R" movie. As for the 12 and 13 year olds watching the movie, I'm sure they understood that it was all just meant to be funny. So go take a pill and crawl back under your rock.

29. Shaved the mustache?
LOL
You guys never heard of fake mustaches?
Actors use them all the time. Including Cohen, who has played this character before, on his Da Ali G Show, and he certainly didn't have to wait for his mustache to grow in order to shoot his scenes.

If you don't think it's fake, then explain how Borat appeared on The Tonight Show last night, two days AFTER this photo was taken. Facial hair doesn't grow that fast.

Idiots!

30. For all those whose are suing because they got duped into appearing in the movie, save the drama! What case do you have against Cohen? You signed releases thus that should be enough to clear his of any wrongdoing. You got punked and you're too proud to admit it!
