Kid Caught in Cruise Crossfire; Tom Dazed Too

Tom Cruise -- Click to WatchIt was a knock-down-drag-out day at the soccer field for Tom Cruise on Saturday, problem is -- the victim was an innocent toddler caught in Tom's paparazzi crush.

It went down moments after Tom put his soon-to-be wife, Katie Holmes, in a passionate liplock, then took off for the restroom -- as usual, a crash of photogs followed. As the star smiled and slowly paced toward the public toilets, a toddler wandered into the crush, and fell to the ground. "She's bleeding!" screamed the child's mother.

A shocked Cruise stared blankly before extending his arm in a vain attempt to console the kid with a backrub. The child's infuriated mother picked up the kid and began walking away, offering a few words of advice to the world's most famous actor: "You should live in Colorado, get away from them (the photogs)."

Moments later, Tom whispered into the ear of one of his "people," who took off after the Mom and her wailing tot.

After the drama, Tom finally made it to the restroom. Mission accomplished.

31. Can you imagine how fed up the parents in that soccer league, especially on the same team as Cruise's kids, must be? Geez, I have a hard enough time finding a parking spot or seat for my son's games and we have no celebrities here. I can't even imagine what the chaos is like for these people who just want to let their children get involved in sports. They didn't ask for Cruise to be in this league. I think the mom was probably, and rightfully so, frustrated and at wits end with all the photos hounding the Cruises at every single game and practice. I agree with her - enough is enough already! How many photos do they need of Cruise and Katie sitting around watching a game??

34. Tom was in no way responsible for that child being knocked down. The paps are ignorant morons who should be shot for what they do to him. It's clear that Tom, as an OT VII Scientologist, was attempting to perform an assist on the child. In becoming an OT VII, Tom now has incredible healing abilities. He removed that child's pain with just a simple touch. The child's Mother was pleased and happy that a man as wonderful as Tom helped heal her baby.

36. If that was my mom I would cry too. The paparazzi are out of control. There is no argument there but that mom was whiny and she way overreacted. The kid probably would have stopped crying if her mother had made any effort to console her. All that mom did was whine to Tom Cruise about the paparazzi. It was like she didn't even care about her kid. She was even whining about them before the kid got hurt.

37. I thought Cruise was Superman! Hasn't he supposedly saved a few lives in the past? Why couldn't he have jumped in front of the toddler so the kid wouldn't have gotten hurt? You know why? Because his publicity is a set up. Of course Cruise wants the photographers there...and no wonder he didn't know how to handle the pissed off Mom who is probably sick to death of he and Katie always ruining what should be a kids soccer game!!!

She's a cult addled freak who posts incessantly to defend Cruise and Holmes. She believes Cruise is going to save the world from all the "supressives". She also writes porn about Katie under another name at TWoP. Poor KrazyKaren is a completely delusional and totally and hopelessly insane and very well known all over the internet on forums, messageboards and sites like this. 40. Oh for God's sake. The woman just had her toddler hit and the child was bleeding. I think it's a little more than unreasonable to expect complete rationality from this mother. I would be pissed off at everyone at the spur of the moment. Wait until we see what she does to judge her.

Tom, however, sucks for a variety of reasons not related to this specific incident.

41. Course this mom could attend these games all the time and has dealt with them, just this time they hurt her little girl. I think she just went at anyone that came near at the moment. I do say sue the pap to give them a dose of medicine.

42. It is a soccer game, and there are going to be kids. The mother and the kids have every right to be there. The crazy photogs apparently don't care about anyone else except for their own benefit. Why are you all blaming the mother? How do you know how much all the other parents at the games have been putting up with these photogs' crazy behavior? Maybe she is just fed up, plus the fact that they hurt HER CHILD!! If you all are ever going to be a a parent, please remember what you have posted here. You would react the same way. She is protecting her child, that's why she yells back. By the way, she was not yelling at Tom Cruise. She was telling him to get away from the photogs. It is a park, and parents have all the rights to be there with their children, whether they are Tom Cruise or not. Why are you people blaming the woman and child who were obviously overwhelmed by the madness? Are you there to witness this? Why are you all being so judgemental? Have you ever been in the shoe of being a parent?

44. I agree it was the dumb ass mother's fault. ANY parent would/ SHOULD run to grab their child from a swarm of anything BEFORE it gets to the child. How could she be that clueless of her surroundings? She obviously over does it by saying " OH great now she's bleeding" trying to act as if she really cares about Tom. I can see her trying to sue his ass 4 this. Stupid B!tc# There's your 15 mins. Dont let it distract you from taking care of your kid AGAIN!!!
