Kid Caught in Cruise Crossfire; Tom Dazed Too

Tom Cruise -- Click to WatchIt was a knock-down-drag-out day at the soccer field for Tom Cruise on Saturday, problem is -- the victim was an innocent toddler caught in Tom's paparazzi crush.

It went down moments after Tom put his soon-to-be wife, Katie Holmes, in a passionate liplock, then took off for the restroom -- as usual, a crash of photogs followed. As the star smiled and slowly paced toward the public toilets, a toddler wandered into the crush, and fell to the ground. "She's bleeding!" screamed the child's mother.

A shocked Cruise stared blankly before extending his arm in a vain attempt to console the kid with a backrub. The child's infuriated mother picked up the kid and began walking away, offering a few words of advice to the world's most famous actor: "You should live in Colorado, get away from them (the photogs)."

Moments later, Tom whispered into the ear of one of his "people," who took off after the Mom and her wailing tot.

After the drama, Tom finally made it to the restroom. Mission accomplished.

76. Whoa - wait a minute - we don't want this trash here in Colorado. Besides if he came to Aspen NO ONE would care - he is not important and there are WAY bigger stars here. And I might mention that none of whom want people to know how much their wedding cost them. Like Ed Bradley, h e got married in Aspen and I bet you people did not even know. I really wish TomKat would just fade away.

77. God, I want to bitch slap this woman who blames others while she was not doing her job in watching her own kid. I hate these soccer moms (or whatever sport moms) who act like their crotch droppings are God's gift and we should feel so bad when they fall down and cry. If I were Tom I'd tell her to keep up w/ her kid as not all people, animals, moving cars will yield to her little precious, as accidents happen. This cow's acting like the photog's sent her kid to his/her death, and what the hell was w/ the "Take my picture", the paps should have responded , "No, your image will break my camera lens". Even if the kid was bleeding, it was her responsibility to keep that kid away from the moving photographers -who BTW are doing their job as this cow is clearly not, she was probably in line for nachos when she saw her kid go down.

78. Tom Cruise is an egomaniacal idiot. He's insincere and greed-driven. I pity his child.

79. Okay, when did that kid get pushed? She seemed to be innocently standing there and nothing happened. The photographer even looked behind to see that he didn't knock her down. That woman was wishing her kid got hurt. And she wasn't blaming Tom Cruise, she was trying to commiserate with him, the ham.

80. I am certainly no Tom Cruise fan, but I absolutely cannot see how this is his fault. I am also stunned at the number of people who seem to think that, just because he is a celebrity, he has no right to attend his children's soccer games. Get real. I would think that his attending their games is for the right reason, because his kids want him there. I know that, as a child, I always wanted my parents to attend every game, concert, play and any other event I was in. His kids are certainly no different, and should not be hurt because the photogs don't know how to handle themselves in a professional manner. People, you need to think about what is best for ALL of the children, not just the ones that belong to the non-celebrity parents. In my opinion, the Papparazzi should NOT BE ALLOWED at any sporting events involving minors. Have security at the venue and STOP THE PAPPARAZZI from entering. I would certainly NOT be in favor of any parent of any child being excluded from viewing such games because of celebrity status or the actions of others.

Also, I AM a mother and my child has been bumped into and knocked down MANY times in public, with me right there and even holding his hand. Yet I have never reacted quite so dramatically, as a parent's reaction plays a huge role in the child's reaction. If you freak out every time your child takes a spill, the poor thing will end up being the world's biggest sissy and crybaby. Seriously, the child suffered no permanent damage, and her reaction was a bit over-the-top.

81. So, nowadays, Tom Cruise is to blame for everything that happens in the planet. The mother was probably staring at Tom instead of taking care of her child; shame on her for blaming Tom or the papparazi; does she live in Colorado and doesn't know that papparazi follow him? These are her 15 minutes of fame.
Passionate liplock? Com'on, it was a peck; in any case, so what? is his fiance, the mother of his child. Have to find a reason to critizise him and his actions.

82. I cannot believe all the people that have commented on this that are so heartless and obviously do not have children of their own. She was not mad at Tom, if you actually heard the footage, she said she felt sorry for him to have to go through this with his kids. Yes, she did say he should move to Colorado but I suppose that is just because these stars know that if they live and play in L.A., they are going to be swarmed by paparazzi, which is horrible in itself. Any mother knows that if her child has been hurt, you protect that child at any cost and to the comment that she should have been watching her child, she was at a playground! She should not have to run after her child every second that the child is at a children's playground, as long as she is watching him, which she was surely doing since she came to the child's aid only moments after this heinous incident happened! I feel ashamed to play a part in this since I frequent TMZ, which I am not going to anymore since we are the ones that feed into this paparazzi frenzy. If it were not for us, the people that buy the magazines and go to these websites, there would not be as many of these so-called photographers out there making too much money for half assed shots that they call photographs. That is my two cents, take it or leave it but leave these poor victims alone.

83. Maybe SHE should move to Colorado. Not a lot of movie business conducted there...Perhaps she should have minded her wandering child a little more closely.
However, toddlers should be able to wander a bit at a soccer field under normal circumstances. She should apologise for unintentionally marginalizing Tom when the fault lies with the vulturazzis. Classy, considering, of Mr. Cruise to care enough to have one of his people follow up on the woman and her toddler. You vulturazzis need to maintain a respectable and dignified distance. What's wrong with you people?????? It's not o.k. to have no limits, no matter what the price.

84. Amother- don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
Such a whiny little bitch, "if you had children you'd understand" -f*** that, as far as I see it, she wasn't at some peaceful park, she was at a park w/ 2 celebs and a bunch of photographers ; so the idea that all this woman had to do was watch the kid is insane, no she should have held this very small kid in her arms to sheild him/her from the paps. But no, she does what so many fat cow soccer moms do, she blames others all while further upsetting her own kid by her over acting and raised voice.
Soccer moms must die.

85. FalconEddie,

Looks like you need to get a life since all it seems that you do is post to all these different website, especially reality websites and looks like you are currently looking for love on www.lovecompass.com, so better be careful out there ladies. Otherwise you will end up with a very unhappy young man, who was jealous of all those kids that had soccer moms out there, since they payed attention to their children while his mother obviously did not pay attention to him, since he has very intense mother issues. Even possibly woman issues with all the profanity and disrespectful ways he insults women. Peace out brother but try to come back down to earth and calm down a bit.
