Paparazzi King Gets Face Bashed In

E.L. Woody -- Click to WatchBlood streamed down the face of "Celebrities Uncensored" paparazzi guru E.L. Woody after a late night argument turned violent outside of Area nightclub in Hollywood.

It all went down as Brody Jenner exited the club, smiling and waving to waiting shutterbugs. While Woody photographed him, a random clubgoer approached and began shouting, "What are you doing? You don't need to shoot him, leave him alone." According to Woody, the man then broke a microphone off of another photog's camera.

Woody says he quickly approached the attacker and told him that he would have to pay for the damaged camera. That's when things got bloody. According to Woody, the man then grabbed another mic and smashed Woody in the face with it, opening a bloody gash above his left eye.

Private security quickly threw the alleged attacker in handcuffs and tossed him in the back of a security vehicle, while a battered Woody screamed at him. "Look what you did to my face? If you can't handle your liquor, you shouldn't be out! I don't care who you are, you're going to jail!"

E.L. Woody is scheduled to undergo a CATscan at a local hospital and will get stiches later today. Woody tells TMZ he will definitely file charges.

16. He might be scum, but if the subject (Jenner) is a willing to be photographed then stupid drunk ass should not have hit him. Woody should press charges for assault, He simply wasn't doing anything wrong.

17. The bottom line is, it was assault, no matter how you cut it. The Photog has a right to be there, the clubgoer has a right to be there, but the club goer has no right to beat someone over the head with a makeshift weapon. No matter how drunk, how stupid, or how "in the right" he felt he was, there is just no excuse for that kind of behaviour. If I were the victim in this circumstance, I would prosecute to the full extent of the law and go after every dime of damages I could.

18. All though I know a blow to the head can get your adrenalin flowing and possibly spurt out some vulgarity....................BUT......................Is it just me, or did it come across to anybody else that Woody was the aggressor? I mean he kept on and on and on with the issue. (just my opinion) But I think Woody pushed the guy over the edge and he got popped for it. The majority of the paparazzi do go beyond their limits just to get a good shot for publicity. I say he may be lucky it wasn't worse than what it was.
It doesn't mean that I condone it though

19. I agree with # 9. Everyone has a job to do, some are not as glamourous as others, but we all need to make a living. Part of being famous is getting your pic taken. And if not for the paparazzi this site and none like it would exist. For those of you who say he deserved it, what is wrong with you?

20. Yeah, I believe Woody got what was coming to him. However, I'd love to be a juror if his alleged "pressing charges" for assault ever makes it into court. You see this is the basic mind-set, behavior, and the unfortunate reality in the artistic pursuits of the Paparazzi.

This slithering person who goes on about the business of hiding in bushes, hidden between cars, and would darn near kill (and one day might) a celeb for that all-intrusive photograph. For what? The only artistic pursuit is how the gang in CGI or computerized photo manipulation are going to enhance the photo to grace covers of the supermarket tabloids.

Notwithstanding however, Woody will milk this incident ala K-Fed until the money stops rolling down hill into his wanton outstretched hand. One last question before I go today…If any celeb or celeb wannabe's read this here's my question: You use these folks when you're on the rise up the proverbial latter to success; however, once a tiny bit of success is enjoyed, what already, they all the sudden are bastards?

This statement certainly applies to those who will react to it: It is so typical of a wannabe to do just about everything for a bit of "stardom" yet, when the recognition comes, so does the hatred for these people. Please do not misunderstand me…stalking is not standing in front of a bar waiting; there is no excuse for stalking or any thing that stands in the way of a person—regardless of who they are—enjoying the pursuits of happiness and privacy.

PS No DEBORAH you are not the only one

21. It seems that E. L. Woody is the agressor, the instigator. This guys doesn't need a CAT scan he needs a band aid, forget about stitches. He sure is talking a lot for someone that has been assaulted. If Woody was really in pain, then he would be lying down instead of standing up, pointing fingers, and screaming. The guy who allegedly hit him seems very calm. He isn't shouting back.

"Look at what you did to my face". Get over yourself. You sound like Nancy Kerrigan when she got hit and shouted "why me" but when Woody does it he sounds like 100 times more the girlie.

This is an occupational hazard. Woody is a stalker with a camera. Please don't even claim to be a journalist.

This would like to see the video showing what happened leading up to Woody's scratch.

23. Bottom-line, celebrities are NOT above the law, assault is assault. An average person exiting a club who assaulted something enough to make them bleed would go to jail. This should be no different.

There is a majority of celebrities that do not have the kind of media attention that a select few draw, and these select few, especially on sites like this are celebs who are famous purely for the name they were born with. I.e Brody, in real life you can’t be college drop out have access to tons of money and party all the time. These people don’t have much to be proud of except that have used to their full advantage their parents fame and money. Way 2 go! Cant feel sorry for people like that, it’s a fair trade off, tons of money, loss of privacy when exiting a club..

And whoever mentioned the hypocrisy of people who visit these cites that present celebrities lives in pictures ….saying that paparazzi has no right and should leave celebrities alone, was right on the money there. Apparently the meaning of hypocrisy is not within their knowledge.

24. Post #10 Nasty boil and post # 11 J : It's nice to hear from someone who understands the basic laws of life. This guy didn't do anything. Brody wasn't minding the attention so what's the deal ?? It's obvious the attacker has "rage issues ".

What you others may not understand is that celebrities" in the making" LOVE the paparazzi 's taking their pictures. Then when they become " Big and Famous " they get pisst off . You can't have it both ways. The guy that hit him is a total JERK!
Like I said before : If you are coming on the website ..........you are looking at and buying photographs that these photographers take. Come folks.........you can't have it both ways either. Be logical and use your common sense.

25. haha that's what he gets. Enough with the paprazzi!!! I swear they should have to get permission for gov't, license to stalk, pay a huge yearly fee, higher taxes and whatever else for their chosen profession to become a pain and obsolete.

26. TMZ is a popular culture news source. Just like the NYT is a source for hard news and human interest stories. This is just one stop along the news gathering jaunt for many of us among stops to hard news, financial news, sports news, tech news, etc.. Just because we stop by occasionally to check out what's new doesn't mean we advocate stalking behavior by the paps. There is a way to gather news legitimately without harrassing celebs in their faces 24/7. Keep a little distance and you'll still get the story. But guys like Woody woodchuck (E.L. Woody..does that stand for eentsy, little woody? and might that refer to the size of his...?) have gone too far. What *has* become a spectacle these days is how the paps shamelessly get into the faces of celebs, that's half the news on sites like TMZ, etc.. Also, since when is being a paps a legitimate job? Yes, having ones photo taken comes with the territory of being famous..but being stalked? Not.

27. Celebs need to get over getting their pics taken all the time. It's the people that are taking their pics that make them famous. If there were no pics, we would have no idea who these celebs were. It was there decision to be 'famous' so now deal with it and stop whining and assaulting people!

29. Ouch!!!...my little head!!, you broke my little head!!!....HAHAHAHAHA Woody's lucky that's all he's walking away with...a split head. I was hoping someone would pop him one. He instigates things 98% of the time, that's his game. He talks a bunch of **** behind the camera, then when whomever he's shooting gets mad at him...he takes their picture. What's worse, is that he's got the nerve to talk all that sh*t while the guy's being hancuffed....********* P****. Hey Woody, you gonna go home and cry to mommy now? *LOL*. What a no life Jerk-off, I'm glad he got hit.
