So, HOW Do You Know Tom and Katie Again?

Who knew that TomKat and J.Lo were such bosom buddies? Not us -- maybe not even them.
TomKate and their Guests!
Given that we thought the guest list at the Cruise-Holmes nuptials in Italy seemed more like a Fellini film, or an episode of "The Surreal Life" -- Marc Anthony? Jenny McCarthy? Jenna Elfman? -- we tried to break down exactly what some of these people were doing all the way over in Bracciano, so far away from home. It should make for some awkward moments during the dinner hour.

Several of the guests -- John Travolta, Elfman and her husband Bodhi, and Leah Remini -- are members of the Scientology tribe, so that makes sense. But what about J. Lo? It turns out that Lopez and Remini are close pals ... and remember that Remini was the first celeb to cop to a Suri sighting, so we know she's in the inner circle.

Now we're pretty sure that Jenny McCarthy and TomKat haven't worked together on anything recently, but J-Mac's squeeze, Jim Carrey, used to go out with Renee Zellweger, who, of course, was Cruise's co-star in "Jerry Maguire." No word from Carrey's rep on whether this rather tenuous connection is the precise reason for his attendance.

Perhaps J.Lo's husband Anthony said it best in a toast he reportedly gave last night in the bar at the wedding hotel in Rome: "To life, to the occasion, and to new friends." Or, as the case may be, complete strangers.

16. UUUUHHH, BETH you seriously need to shut your cake hole. Do you realize how fucking ridiculous it is for you to come on a gossip site and rant on about the war and tell people what they should be doing, you idiot. Wanna talk about the war? Find a war forum. Wanna bash Tom C & HIs Sham Wedding? Come to TMZ

17. He jumps on the couch, gets crazy over his "religion" with Matt Lauer, proposes to Katie Holmes at the top of the Eiffel Tower on one knee of course, tours the entire nation and Europe for Mission Impossible 3 like he was a king, and then the topper-he drags all of his "celebrity" friends plus Entertainment Tonight to Rome and gets married in a castle. Do you think this man wants privacy and no attention? If he doesn't then I'm watching a different scenario. TomKat watch? I don't think he's a bad father after saying all of this, and I don't think he is unprofessional in his job as an actor. But I do believe he's got more than dyslexia as a problem. Maybe ADHD?

19. Sorry boys and girls, these folks are in love with the idea of marriage and being in love........ALL the WRONG reasons !

20. These 2 creep me out. Cruise is a big publicity whore who has no respect for women. Leaves Nicole when she's pregnant with his child, barely gives her access to the kids. Won't marry Katie until she is what he considers "fit". God he's just a pig. Katie is little more than a zombie. I'm so glad his career is OVER!!!

21. Whatever, I've come to the conclusion that most Tomkat haters are super freaks! They are so obsessed with this couple and their baby but they refuse to admit it! I on the other hand find them to be simply entertaining!I admire how unfazed Tom always seems to be about it all.I look forward to his next movie!

22.
Leah Remini is at the top level of Scientology... a priestess to others. How did she obtain that rank at such an early age?

It's interesting to see how Travolta, Kirstie Allie, Lisa Marie Presley, and Tom Cruise are all going out of their way to court Oprah. Whoever can bring her into Scientology moves up two levels.

Travolta is flying in with Oprah... a last minute addition to the event.

23. My son worked with Cruise on "Magnolia". Cruise was a perfect gentleman and bought breakfast for everyone involved, thanked them every night after they worked 16 hours per day, This was awhile ago but I remember that everyone was very impressed with his professionalism.

Now to Trish's comment. Everyone that posts here isn't a superfreak nor are they obsessed with the couple. Maybe interested in something outside their lives? After saying that I do think he has acted extremely strange in the last couple of years, very bizarre at times. He seems like a good father and a professional businessman though. If he delivers the price of the ticket of a movie he is in that is the important thing. The rest is gravy.

24. Oh shut up people! Have a heart and get a life.
Stop insulting their baby and stop insulting their relationship.
Suri, is an innocent baby, and does not deserve your negative vibe. She's cute and adored by her loving parents. Those who make fun of her remind me of bullies in the playground. You need a kick in the head!
And just because you're jealous of their wealth, their happiness and that they want to commit to each other, you don't have to throw insults at Katie and Tom Cruise. Why don't you get off your social reject ass, and do something constructive with your life? Oh yeah, you're losers that's why.

I wish them happiness and health.
I wish baby Suri a good life full of love and positive energy.

26. Leah Remini is also a Scientologist...she publicized the silent birth of her daughter...

27. Since Scientologgy is NOT a religion, how can the wedding of these two pieces of shit be consideed legal in the States? Or are they planning another circus for a civil wedding. Or is that miserable fat faggot-dwarf so goddamn arrrogant as to think he needn't conform to the law of the land?

28. They should have just kept their wedding private. Does anyone notice that the marriage of two celebrities who have weddings like this never work? I can think of so many weddings with tons of celebrity guests, tons of media, tons of hype, tons of crap....and the marriage tanked almost as quickly as the circus was planned. Anyone have an egg timer?
