TMZ to Rosie: How Dare You!

Rosie O'Donnell took a shot at TMZ this morning on "The View," accusing us of outing gay celebs in the same way that PerezHilton.com has done. Not that there's anything wrong with coming out of the closet, but -- yo, Ro! -- get your facts straight! TMZ has, for the record, never outed anyone; gay, bisexual, alien or otherwise, and that's really not what we're about.

O'Donnell was talking about her own gay admission to Warner Bros. execs when she started her talk show back in 1995, and said that she kept it mainly under wraps to avoid controversy. But, she added, "At the time when my show was on, there was no Drudge Report, there was no Perez Hilton, there was no TMZ, and you could be gay and have a big successful career and no one would ask you -- no journalist ever asked me."

Frankly, Rosie, we at TMZ don't shy away from the tough questions, but we're not in the business of outing people -- so back off, girlfriend!

48. Okay, time to up Rosie's hormones again. Does anyone listen to her anymore? Seems like everytime she opens her mouth something half-baked or hateful comes out. She hasn't changed from when she had her own show...she's an opinionated bi-0tch! I don't mind that I don't agree with most of her opinions, its more the way she expresses herself. I wish Barbara would put her foot down--on Rosie's neck!

Isn't it funny that Rosie did not proclaim her "gayness" until after she had become a star and made her millions and after she did "come out", she turned into a big, loud mouth, in your face, know it all dyke. If I was gay, I wouldn't give her the time of day. What, pray tell is attractive about her, Kellie???!!!! Oh, yeah, I forgot, $$$$. Some people will do anything for it. YUK!!!!!!!!

50. OK, There is a maturity issue here. Do straight folks push the straight card as often as gays pull the gay card??? Gays don%u2019t have a GET IN YOU FACE mentality. You never get hit on by some gay man or lesbian at a party even though it is obvious you are straight. . Never happens. Gays never act stupid and parade around in assless chaps. How many lesbians I worked with never got in my personal space pushing rainbow or diversity groups. Or better yet place Diversity banners on my desk to show my support which were never asked for? It never happens. No, not in this country. This sh*t is shoved down our necks everyday and all day and it is repugnant.

53. why was kelly ripa not asked why she did not clay speak or talk while interviewing emmett and cheryl. she just kept on and on . in my opinon clay did the only thing he could to get a word in she needed to be muzzled. why have a co host and then not give them respect enough to co host just say regis is out for day and kelly will be hosting with co host as window dressing she was the one who gave mr. aiken no respect he playfully ask her to let him talk and she just kept on SHE GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED.

55. Excuse me, Rosie, but when did Clay say that he was a homosexual?? He doesn't need magazines and such to "out" him when he has friends like you!
What he did to Kelly was rude and offensive and poor manners for a southern boy. She (and I) happened to revere him for his talent, and for what he once appeared to be: a mannerly, grateful, gentleman. I think he acted without thinking; it was a high school gesture. But I think he should have apologized and begged her forgiveness.
And I think Rosie should stay out of it, and I'm sure Clay feels that way too!

57. rosie no one has ever said clay was gay or not and no cares personally i was offended my ripas attitudude clay may have acted un professional by covering her mouth but someone needs to remind her that cohosts should be able to speak. he politely asked her to let him speak and she kept on and on in my opion she got what she deserved. she is not professional as she calls it at all by not letting co host cohost they are not ther for her window dressing as she runs over them. if she was such a professional nothing would have been said about the incident on mondays show kelly ripa has no class .
