NBC Sneak Peeks: "Heroes" and "Studio 60"

Which scenario is more unlikely -- a group of ordinary people who develop extraordinary powers, or two guys who turn around the ratings of a troubled late night TV comedy show?

Fantasy be damned! "Heroes" and "Studio 60" form one of our favorite blocks of TV on any night.

On tonight's "Heroes," everything leads up to Claire's homecoming dance. In an attempt to prevent his brother from being harmed, Nathan decides to destroy Isaac's missing cheerleader painting. Don't worry, the secret of the painting still gets revealed.

On "Studio 60," Matt (Matthew Perry) jokingly reveals his extraordinary powers by making Jordan's (Amanda Peet) cellphone ring on command. If only a wave of his hands could double the show's viewership -- now that would be powerful.

Check out "Heroes" and "Studio 60," beginning tonight at 9PM ET/PT on NBC.

1. Peter is now on my Grrrhate!list, and I'll keep on lovin' Studio 60. I rolled my eyes a bit when they went to the "That's so SICK!" place, buuut me thinks that's what they were going for. It's smart and funny while not having to rely on easy-laugh throw-away jokes every two seconds to keep the plot going.
I really, really enjoy it and think a longer run could iron out the issues some people seem to have with it and propel it into a hopefully healthy season next year.

2. I love "Studio 60". I have ALWAYS been a fan of Brad Whitford.... I think he is just brilliant. And nothing needs to be said of Matthew Ashford- he is perfect as always.... and Amanda Peet is super smart and funny! I hope people will give the show a shoot.... It got LOTS of press in the beginning but Monday night at 9 pm??? I am hoping the show makes it....

3. Studio 60 is the smartest funniest best produced and acted and directed show in primetime on any of the major networks right now. This is the type of programming normally restricted to HBO or Showtime. I guess that means we should expect its cancellation somewhere around episode 12...
