Ripa Rips Aiken a New One: Don't Hush Me, Dork!

Snippy Clay Aiken co-hosted Friday's "Live With Regis and Kelly," and Miss Ripa was clearly unhappy with the moptop Idol contestant's attitude. The road got rocky when they played a clip of Kelly impersonating Aiken on Halloween a few years ago ... from there on, Clay got into the mud.

Ripa claims that Aiken was hostile toward her and feels that he wasn't "respectful in any way." Tensions ran high throughout the taping, but Clay pissed off the talk diva when he put his hands over her mouth to try to keep her from talking while interviewing "Dancing With The Stars" winners Cheryl Burke and Emmit Smith.

Ms. Ripa was not amused, and let Clay know that he had crossed a line by touching her million-dollar cakehole. "Oh that's a no-no... I don't know where your hands have been." She has a point.

Regis was shocked by the idea of Kelly and Clay not hitting it off: "In my wildest dreams would I ever think that one day you would have a feud with Clay Aiken."

"Live" wasn't the only show where Mr. Aiken made an appearance. Clay guested on "The Tyra Banks Show," set to air this Wednesday. Again, there was some face caressing -- but on this occasion it was welcomed.

61. Fridays' R&K show was entertaining with Clay as co-host, although it seemed as though Kelly monopolized the whole hour.
I think that someone forgot to forewarn her that Clay is an intelligent man, and could hold his own against her diatribes.
I was assuming that Mr.Aiken was invited as a 'Co-host', but was dismayed to see that Ms.Rippa wasn't willing to let that happen. Seemed like every time the co-host would start to speak, Kelly interrupted, and incessantly talked.
Anyone can re watch the Friday episode, in an unbiased manner, and see for themselves 'WHO' was being the diva.
I felt embarrased for how Emmit and his partner were handled, ( as though they were NOT the winners) and Kellys disrespect toward Clay, Emmit, his partner, and to the lady who had the makeover.
It's just too bad that it is Regis, and NOT Kelly, who takes every Friday off.

63. Kelly Ripa's head is too big for her body. It's amazing how it holds it up! Clay was put down at least four times by her on the show. He is one of the cleanest people I know of. Now she calls Howard Stern a good friend? They just lost me as a longtime viewer.

She was over the top today in her comments. Regis himself looked uncomfortable for her.

64. Clay Aiken does have his issues but I think that Kelly Ripa is about as annoying as they come. I had to stop watching the show because she never knew when to just shut her mouth and let other people speak. That kind of need to dominate and control a conversation tells me that she may not be the sweetheart everyone thinks that she is.

65. Clay has no personality; this is why Ruben won.
I don't understand how he even has fans.
Who cares if he's gay (cause we all know he is) that has nothing to do with it.
To me he looks kind of creepy and gives you that weirdo vibe.
I won't argue that he has a good voice but he has no right to go on her show and act like an ass.

66. Wow ... Clay's my new hero.

67. Clay was funny at first then he just got out of hand. He owes Kelly and everyone on LIVE a big apology. Not the best impression to make on NATIONAL television.

68. If anyone was disrespectful it was Miss Diva Rippa. My dog has more class than she does.

Can we stop helping that gay ex-marine jump start his porn career?? His 15 minutes are up. Aiken survived background checks by UNICEF before he was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for Education and an FBI background check before the President appointed him to the Committee for Individuals With Disabilities. Before State Farm gave huge half million dollar grants to Aiken's foundation, they also ran a background check. They knew of the rumors and found them baseless. BTW, he is still living with his long time girlfriend , he just doesn't think it's anyone's business.

69. GO PIPPA! Kelly is so down to earth. I would hardly call her a diva or anoying. You Kely bashers need to get a grip. Envy does not help one acheive. As for Clay...he needs to lighten up! She was funny when she did him on Halloween!! He should be flattered they took the time to do him! And to cover her mouth...I hardly think he knows her well enough to do something like that!

70. I saw the episode and I was shocked at Clay's remarks and actions. He was RUDE and should have been stopped. There was no need for him to act like that at all. He should never be allowed back to that show again. Rude is rude and maybe now he will know that he isn't God and to respect people.

71. Kelly does not know the meaning of the word 'gracious" - Clay was a co-host and she wanted the whole spotlight - as always. I never watch R&K because Kelly is so empty-headed and I certainly will never watch again. What makes her think she's interesting? Poor Regis.
Someday Clay will be 100x more famous and do 100x more things for society than miss big mouth Kelly ever will.
I hope Clay's Christmas song will not be aired - if I were him I wouldn't want anything to do with that show. Clay is owed an apology.

72. I happen to like both Kelly and Clay. They are both good entertainers in their respective fields. I saw the show Fri and felt Clay was rude to Kelly from the beginning. He did seem to have a beef with Kelly, perhaps from her impersonation of him. If he was p***ed at her, he should not have done the show at all. Not a smart career move for Clay, who's popularity is probably tenuous at best.

73. Kudos to Clay for shutting up that bitch for once. Somebody had to do it and I like to see that he had the balls to do it. She was a total c**t to him the whole show starting well before he finally put her in her place.

74. Nah, boyfriend should have kept his hands to himself. Totally unprofessional. Who the heck even thought of him even being a guest host? "Live" isn't...
