579. For those of you who sympathize with the man and excuse Richards for calling "a few ignorant audience members these names because he was angry", you are just as guilty as he is. It is not the audience members who are guilty; racists are the only ones who are truly ignorant. Richards has been a comedian for how many decades? The excuse that he didn't know how to respond to hecklers is completely pathetic. Comedians, just like Richards, are heckled all the time. It is irrational to think that an experienced comedian wouldn't know how to handle himself around hecklers.

Richards didn't spew hatred because he was flustered, he said those things because (unfortunately) that's how he truly feels.

He isn't sorry for making those comments, he's sorry because he was caught. He's sorry that his secret turned into a media frenzy and he's sorry that he is now an American embarrassment.

581. Lets face it, Kramer has never acted on these words. The guys in the audience had a reputation for being assholes. They should have left the show if they didn,t think he was funny.
Black comedians acts are always based on race, whitey this and Mexican this. I have never seen a black comedian once come out and do and act like,say Sienfeld who never mentions race in his act. And there are others that cannot do an act without cursing every sentence.
It was anger that created Kramer's response, he may have to rethink doing standup. If your sensitive to the fools in the audience that shout out remarks, you shouldn,t be doing it in the first place.
I believe Richards need to go quietly and retire now. He had his 15 minutes and got paid handsomely for it.
