This type of crap has happened to a lot of famous stand up comedians whether the heckler was balck white or otherwise... 50. For some reason the word "Racist" has taken on a different meaning then what the true definition is, which is " a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race."
This is a factual, scientific statement, with no hate etc,. involved.
From the true definition, I would state I am a Racist. This come from 32 years as a Police Officer in the city of Chicago, during which time I learned to expect certain reactions from different races.

53. Why is it that whenever there is a 'video expose' of someone doing something - the person that publishes it seems to deliberately cut out the beginning. It smacks of editing to make them one sided? I really can not tell if Richards was wrong because the audience comments that sparked the exchange seem to have been deliberately. So ... will someone please publish the entire sequence and let people then decide.

Had a man of ANY Color - other than white said this - no biggie we wouldn't have even heard about it. The ONLY people it would seem that can even be considered racist are white. WHY IS THAT?

When enraged by the heckler's comments, his true feelings were displayed. His words were yelled in alcohol anger. Did you also read that most of the audience left in disgust? The awful part is that most of you don't understand what it's like to be called a "n" by a Caucasian. Maybe if you lived in a black man's skin for a year, you'd get a good taste of how degrading that word is to us. Also, he's been doing standup for almost 25 years. He did a lot of things before Seinfeld (Cheers, Night Court, Fridays, UHF, etc etc) so let's stop with the "lol he is a hack hurr" stuff.

He said what he said. He went on TV that night and apologized, in front of his meal ticket Jerry Seinfeld no less. Letterman kept trying to help him out of the pit, lobbing him easy questions, and he wouldn't take them - he just admitted what he'd done, and why, and asked for our forgiveness. I respected that, at least. Unlike Mel, he didn't cry boo-hoo I'm an alcholic, send me to rehab. If his career is over, at least he can go out with some small measure of self-respect that he copped to his crap and didn't hide behind bs excuses.

And for all the people saying "oh poor me I'm white and being repressed by black comics" - wow - yeah, you're really oppressed by a country whose politicians are 90% white, man. That's gotta be tough. The fact that the word "wigger" is ok to say (because when white people do anything that's not white in origin they are therefore "acting black" - I love that the white culture is the "norm", to the point where two dudes heckling a comic is a bigger deal than the comic's racist tirade because "they didn't show no respect". So if someone doesn't act the way a white male wants them to - they're a jerk?

So therefore white culture is "better"?
