77. I can't believe what I'm reading. It's absolutely disgusting that anyone would condone MR's comments. And how could he not be a racist? When enraged by the heckler's comments, his true feelings were displayed. His words were yelled in alcohol anger. Did you also read that most of the audience left in disgust? The awful part is that most of you don't understand what it's like to be called a "n" by a Caucasian. Maybe if you lived in a black man's skin for a year, you'd get a good taste of how degrading that word is to us. My family doesn't say that word in our home, jokingly to other Americans of color, nor do we let our son say it. It's offensive and should be denounced by anyone calling themselves human. Do you really want me to get over it? When MR donates his last season of pay from the Seinfeld show to the poor African country of Malawi I'll get over it.

For you to have seen all of these things, you must have lived very close to blacks at one time. I can understand how having to live so close to them and not being able to move would piss you off so much. Its also very brave for you to say what you say at Fenway, Yankee Stadium, and all of those other places, while at any given time you are surrounded by an audience that is 99.99999999999999% white. 80. First of all Jeff, I am at work at a prestigous PR Firm in Los Angeles, California... I have never received a welfare check in my life, because I am single with no children, and have worke ever since I graduated from college. Why don't you get your pathetic little dick ass, off the couch, put the beer down, and stop living off of your trailer trash welfare recipient toothless , stringy haired, girlfirend who has given birth to two of your children out of wedlock, and get a fucking job. He said what he said. He went on TV that night and apologized, in front of his meal ticket Jerry Seinfeld no less. Letterman kept trying to help him out of the pit, lobbing him easy questions, and he wouldn't take them - he just admitted what he'd done, and why, and asked for our forgiveness. I respected that, at least. Unlike Mel, he didn't cry boo-hoo I'm an alcholic, send me to rehab. If his career is over, at least he can go out with some small measure of self-respect that he copped to his crap and didn't hide behind bs excuses.

And for all the people saying "oh poor me I'm white and being repressed by black comics" - wow - yeah, you're really oppressed by a country whose politicians are 90% white, man. That's gotta be tough. The fact that the word "wigger" is ok to say (because when white people do anything that's not white in origin they are therefore "acting black" - I love that the white culture is the "norm", to the point where two dudes heckling a comic is a bigger deal than the comic's racist tirade because "they didn't show no respect". So if someone doesn't act the way a white male wants them to - they're a jerk?

So therefore white culture is "better"?

82. I believe that Kramer's true colors came out. Those feelings just don't pop out of no where. If your up bringing condones that behavior in the case of Kramer, then your true colors will come out when provoked. This feeling of hatered is inside him , and was building for sometime, just like a pressure release valve sooner or later she's going to blow. The reason it's not okay for a white person to say the N word or the other types of remarks Kramer did is because it has never been "okay" for Blacks or other races to lynch, hang, drag, sell, spray a fire hose on people, shoot (I could go on) as it has been for whites. Read your history books before you comment people. It's not OKAY for a white man to get up in front of a mixed race crowd of people in 2006 and say those things regardless of "where the jokes were going". If he wants to speak that way go somewhere else were white power speeches are still welcome. 86. The one thing that everybody that has agreed with Mr Richards forgets is, there are still people in this country and the world that had lived through the heartache and heartbreak of that word. They fought hard to make sure that not just black people but every nationality never feels that pain for future generations to come. No matter who says it (black, white, brown, or martian) it should never be the last resort to win an arguement, and to me that was Mr Richards' purpose. He wasnt educating or even tongue in cheek, he was angry and wanted to cut deep, so he chose what would make the biggest, uglest, most mind bending scar, and thats the difference or "the big deal".

87. I watched Richards apoligize on Letterman. What was even more disturbing was the fact that the audience was laughing and Letterman never said anything to them. It was Seinfeld who told them to shut up. This is the type of people we are dealing with in todays society. It's a shame. Seinfeld had to tell them (audience) that it was not funny. Just sad!
