Lets Get This Party Started
Richards On The Hunt For "Those Guys"

Unlike the "Seinfeld" character he played, it looks like Michael Richards won't be able to get out of the racist rant pickle -- a pickle captured on video and obtained exclusively by TMZ -- as easily as he hoped.

The two black men he allegedly verbally attacked say a national apology on "The Late Show With David Letterman" wasn't enough. They want a personal apology and possibly money, according to the New York Post. The actor's publicist says Richards wants to apologize to both men, but hasn't been able to find them. But when he does, he will talk to them face-to-face and "then see what happens."

Michael Jackson Plays House With Michael Flatley

Michael Jackson just doesn't get it. After a disappointing response to his "come back" performance at the World Music Awards, Jacko says he'll be throwing himself a Christmas bash in Tokyo to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Thriller." Does this guy even have any fans these days? According to FOX News, there's at least one: Michael Flatley. Apparently, Jackson has been staying at the "Lord of the Dance" star's Irish Castle since June.

K-Fed: F**K The Haters

Even after being dumped by Brit, it seems Kevin Federline is still a legend in his own mind. During a performance at Hollywood's House of Blues, K-Fed crowned himself "America's most hated man." Scrapping for any last bit of attention he can get before he falls off the face of the planet, IMDB.com reports that FedEx shouted: "F**k the haters, f**k the media, f**k the paparazzi." It might not be the best idea to bite the only hand that feeds you these days, dude.

Party Favors: Carson Daly Is A New Man ... Borat Is Most Huge At Box Office ... Mariah Carey's Fur Coat Is Missing

Carson Daly says he's trying to re-enter the human race after partying like a rock star for so many years. "As I got a little bit older and moved on to NBC I thought, 'I've gotta grow up here'," admits the 33-year-old talk show host ... Surprise hit "Borat" will cross the $100 million mark this weekend ... A fur coat Mariah Carey donated to animal rights organization PETA was "lost" on its way to benefit nomads in Mongolia.

31.
Its the ole double standard. I've seen black comedians use the word niger and call people in the audience niger and it was funny.
Richards get criticised for doing the same thing..In addition, Richards ancestors were slaves. What happened to freedom of speech.
I hope all you white LIBS get your underware twisted in a big knot- just like your thnking.

32. I am soooo sick of the black man crying about the white man. Blacks can say whatever the hell they want to about whites--just look at all of these black comedians who are always dissing on whites. But, whites are never supposed to say anything about blacks. Those black guys started the shit by interupting Mr. Richards' act. Why in the hell were they even there anyway? They're just pissed b/c a white person finally talked back to them! I am proud of Mr. Richards for his courage. There should be a whole lot more white people taking up for themselves. Blacks try to intimidate whites by scaring them. All they can do is run their mouths' b/c they sure as hell can't make a logical conversation. I have NEVER seen a black man apologize for his racial comments. I don't believe Mr. Richards should apologize, b/c I believe he meant everything he said and he has freedom of speech!

33. NP, it's like once anyone other than an African American uses the "N" word against a brother that automatically entitles the black man to pull the race card. Then in comes the cavalry, Jessie, Al and whoever else wants to jump in on the race card bandwagon. It was in a f***ing comedy club people, lighten up.

34. If black people do not like the "n" word then they should stop using it themselves. We are all racist to some point. I know we tell our selves we are not racist but we are, and the worst kind of racist is black on black hatered. Mr. Richard went to far, but if God can forgive him why can't us?

35. Richards doesn't owe anyone an apology. He was being obnoxious in a comedy setting and he has to deal with his own problems on his own time. Those guys were being assholes and they should have left before Richards said what he said. Those black bastards don't deserve ANYTHING. They are pathetic exploiters and anyone who supports them deserves to get socked in the face.

36. Black bastards black bastards black motherf***ing ghetto feces bastards.

38. Michael Richards deserves a second chance. What is the matter with people? Remember the old "sticks and stones" bit? He was onstage -- apparently bombing with terrible material -- he gets heckled. He flips. That's all. He flipped out -- maybe he could have had better judgement -- maybe he could have been more of a man and taken the jibes --- no, he simply couldn't handle it. He flipped. Maybe he is on medication. Maybe he was a little tipsy on drink. Don't know for sure. What I do know is that the man apologized. He meant it. He's seriously sorry. He desereves a second break, that's all.

39. Um k-fag didn't a member of the paparazzi you claim to hate so much buy you a pair of shoes? Glad Britney dumped that stupid douch!

40. To all the people that are so "offended" that the audience members Michael Richards viciously attacked want money: What country do you come from? Americans will sue at the drop of a hat. I do however believe that what he said was uncalled for and just plain vicious!
Somebody should hang him upside down and stick a fork up his ass!

Posted at 1:04AM on Nov 26th 2006 by Jamie

41. Some people said the black men who Richards was screaming and ranting at have shown their true colors, just because some lawyer convinced them to sue. Wrong! Richards has shown his true colors. Actually, the black men were pretty much respectful and decent in response. They maybe said, like, one racist word and one swear word (as opposed to the dozens that Richards used), but mostly they just kept saying, "That was uncalled for." I thought they showed remarkable restraint and decency.

42. What Michael Richards did is so very wrong and so politically incorrect. With that being said, why/how did these two guys make it to all the talk shows, hire big mouth, bleeding heart liberal attorney Gloria Allred, and demand not only a public apology, but they want money for it.

Is Gloria Allred's head so far up her ass that she does not realize legally, unless these two guys file a federal law suit for a hate crime, are they are not legally entitled to monetary damages.

People like these 3 idiots are what are ruining today's society. Everyone is out for a fast buck. I am sure, from seeing the two guys, not only have THEY USED THE "N" WORD, but they purposely went into a club to heckle someone.

Unfortunately, Mr. Richards was not smart enough to let the matter go. Instead he went on a rampage against 2 black people who know only too well to hire themselves an attorney and try to get money.

What a stinking world we live in. Everyone is looking for something for nothing.

43. At the very least, it was a stupid thing for Michael Richards to do. He is obviously incapable of controlling himself. How could he not know the consequences of an outburst like that; especially when directed at Blacks? No matter what Blacks do to Whites, they are completely exculpated if the target of their actions responds with the “N” word, that is of course assuming that the target is still ALIVE to respond. However even IF the target is not ALIVE, as long as some other White person involved directly or indirectly in the incident says or, at some time within the previous 20 years, HAD SAID the “N” word, that is sufficient to exonerate the Black offender even if he dismembered two White people.

If White victims of Black physical or verbal attack are to have any hope of getting justice, they MUST refrain from using the dreaded “N” word no matter how aggrieved they may be.

Michael Richards is finished as surely as if he had shot himself in the head that night.

44. Richards has shown his hand. As a stand up comic, he knows, and knew, that heckling is something that goes with performing jokes. Comics usually take enough pride in their craftsmanship to have counter-barbs ready for hecklers, like Steve Martin's great line, "I remember when I had my first beer..." A line like that is a gentleman's way of saying, "F*** you, idiot. You paid to get in and see me--get a refund if you don't like the show..." Whether or not Richards is possessed of a racist soul, he resorted to using a word that a white man shouldn't use, ever, unless he is comfortable being linked to the KKK. And he has demonstrated that he can't handle the heat that goes with performing jokes onstage.

Personally, I would, were I Richards, acknowledge the mistake for what it was--evidence of a serious character flaw--and pronounce a personal commitment to rectifying the mistake and making an internal, personal change. I think Richards has done quite a bit to accomplish these things already. I would not extend money in payment for damages resultant of however gross an insult, out of respect for those insulted (I would fear being percieved as having "purchased" the "right" to be insulting). Monetary compensation does not Justice make--white America still has a long way to go in righting the nightmarish injustices it has subjected blacks and other minorities to.

Meanwhile, Mel Gibson apologizes for anti-semetic remarks, and "Borat" "exposes" us Americans as boorish anti-semites all, and Isreal beats the sh*t out of Palestine on our tax dollars, and race hatred festers and grows in secret in the suburbs, and is acted out on the streets and in our jails, and I hear intellectuals whose minds I know to be keen STILL not noticing their own racism, and if Humanity at large doesn't start acting humanely, ackowledging the dignified heritage and cultures of all peoples and all peoples' right to exist, then WW3 is going to put a permanent end to our arrogant, short-sighted, advantage-taking-no-matter-what-our-race, shallow, crazy, death-worshipping, greedy, fundamentalist, uninterested, chaotic, murderous asses once and for all, and, Goddamnit, this is what common sense tells us and Richards is just snow on the tip of the iceberg and the line between paranoia and clear-headed sanity has become terrifyingly thin!!

Racism is racism is racism is racism is racism--it is Man acting like Animal--and it is rampant in our country in our time. The black guys in the audience at the Laugh Factory were right in saying that Richards' remarks were uncalled for--those remarks were violent, and were met with restraint on the part of the black guys, who could have been violent in return--and, No, their using the word "Cracker" in return didn't even the score. They did the right thing, those guys, (though I think heckling is kind of childish) and Richards has done the right thing by apologizing.

We are HUMANS first, and White humans, Black Humans, Hispanic humans Jewish humans, Chinese humans etc. etc. etc.--SECOND!! Now, we Humans are a threat to ourselves as never before.

Maybe this incident can be a plus, as Rev. Jackson has said. Maybe it can be a call to discuss this problem.

45. I'm an African American and honestly, I'm not that offended at all. Richards was being honest about the way he feels and we should all do the same... Richards said what 99.99% of crackers are really thinking! They should all do that and stop smiling in every black person's face just so no one will pinpoint them for the racist they truly are! Be proud! I'm a racist too and when you dont expect much from crackers, you can never be dissapointed!
