Some stars gracefully make the move from acting to singing and actually enjoy some success. Jamie Foxx did it with his star turn in "Ray," which prompted him to record a hit album. Other stars moved from singing to acting; Madonna was amazing in "Evita." But some stars should stick to what they do best.

The only thing memorable about Jessica Simpson's acting debut was the Daisy Dukes she wore. And while Paris Hilton has taken some heat for her singing ability, her album can be classified as a hit. Her acting "talent" in films like "House of Wax" and "The Hills" has been called the s**t, and not in a good way.

46. are you guys kidding? how was Paris's album a hit? It only sold about 200, 000 copies - it wasn't even certified Gold which most mediocre singers get. It totally flopped and she just had Star Are Blind from the album and now there's nothing! You guys need to review your facts!!!

Wow alot of negetivity here whats that about?, I am no fan of hilton or simpson but i will say talent or no talent they did what most others lack the drive and or stones to even attempt they made something of themselves and they worked pretty hard to get there, Regardless of hiltons money she had a choice to put herself out there for all to judge or to hide away somewhere fading, Sounds to me like alot of envious little people with mundane lives rankin on those who got up to the plate and took a swing.

48. I agree with you about Jessica and Paris -- they've both tried way too hard to be jack of all trades (singing, acting, selling beauty lines) and they've yet to master one "art!"

One person who I think has really succeeded as a singer and an actor is Will Smith, even though he may not be #1 on the charts or the hottest guy in Hollywood. He has made many many successful movies, a couple albums, and he has managed to hold his family life together at the same time. Must be because he's one of very few who are not gallavanting around with Paris, Lindsay Lohan, and Nicole Richie all the time.

49. I agree with you on that comment. Will Smith is a good icon for doing all of the things a star can do. Another person who I think went over board was Brittney Spears. She does beauty lines, model, singer, and actress. She really needs to stop trying to do everything. These people need to try not always wanting to do everything. And just because Nicole Richies dad is a singer doesnt mean that she is!

51. Paris Hilton can't sing but thats why I like her. I think however that celberties should stick to their job and nt go to others. This is also the ugliest picture of Jessica Simpson I've ever seen ( And I have seen tons of pictures including bad ones!) .

53. OMG......Who is the idiot who wrote that brief (but not brief enough) statement that Madonna was "amazing" in Evita. She is a mediocre vocalist at best, and an absolutely horrible actress, and really should stick to what "she" knows best and that is performing in videos.
