Lets Get This Party Started
Brit's Gift: Paris' Big F**K You to Billboard

Apparently, Paris Hilton has some sort of standards: she won't belittle her friends on Monday night's Billboard Music Awards. The heiress is following in the footsteps of new BFF Britney and has pulled the plug on hosting the show.

Paris Hilton
"It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers," Hilton's spokesman, Elliot Mintz, says in the New York Post. "Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows."

Perhaps she's turning over a new leaf? Or maybe it was just her birthday gift to Brit, who turned 25 yesterday. The two were spotted partying at the Laugh Factory. With panties, we hope.

Taylor Hicks Trashes "Idol"

"American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks needs to learn to watch his mouth. Hicks recently slipped and said the reality show was "fizzling out" and pooh-poohed being crowned last year's winner. Now he's doing some damage control before the new season starts, and before Simon Cowell blacklists him forever. E! Online reports that the grey-haired crooner has apologized, saying, "Those words were taken completely out of context. I'm very thankful to have had the opportunity to be on 'American Idol.'"

Madonna

Madonna to Malawian Judge: Bring It On

There seems to be more baby blues on the horizon for Madonna, according to IMDB. A Malawian judge declared that Madge's adoption of baby David could be challenged by a coalition of human rights groups. But the superstar's lawyer says she has "no problem" with the ruling and will just "sit back and wait" to see who wins the fight.

Party Favors: Britney's First Ex Writes Tell-All Book ... Mel Gibson Set to Release "The Most Violent Movie" Ever ... Bloomberg Doesn't Like Tracy Morgan's Antics

Looks like K-Fed's not the only ex looking to make a buck. Britney Spears' first hubby, Jason Alexander, is writing a tell-all book about his time – all 55 hours of it -- with the pop princess ... FOX News is calling Mel Gibson's new movie, "Apocalypto," the "most violent movie Disney has ever released. If you've wondered what it would be like to see heads and hearts removed without anesthesia, then this is the movie for you" ... New York's Mayor Bloomberg didn't want to share the stage at the Rockefeller Center Christmas-tree lighting with "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan, who has been arrested twice for allegedly driving drunk.

16. Taylor Hicks never said that. You have to be careful to talk to the press because they just love to twist things. Isn't this what makes headlines, attracts readers to the trash and garbage?

Taylor Hicks does thank AI, he has said it more than once. He is a very smart person and would not go and give a stupid statement like this to the press. Even if it were true, again he has too much talent and class to make an open and public statement about this.

For those of you that "get" Taylor his new CD will blow everything away. To the ones that don't, it's their loss!

Long live the "New" King

17. Re: Taylor Hicks - Good grief! Does no reporter ever actually check the FACTS nowadays? Taylor was simply saying that he wasn't going to be the American Idol much longer. A new season is starting next month. He is moving on in his career as he should! He has NEVER trashed Idol. Not only did it give him the chance of a lifetime to get his music heard, he gives it props for introducing young kids to good music of the past. I am SO tired of today's "journalism." Particularly entertainment reportage. It is really sad that absolutely no one checks to see if what they are reporting is true!

18. I am always amazed at the things I learn on this site: Who knew Paris could actually read?
Not me, and to think I thought she was just a stupid tw*t!
Well, good for her. One has to wonder what it was that a such a high quality person like herself found objectionable.
("Hey Brit, what's the worse thing about doing the splits?...Sticking to the floor!)
Taylor Hicks...he's the guy with the Ford commercial, right?

19. Jason Alexander...the short fat bald guy from...Seinfield, right? I hope he banged her, and he'll tell us what it was like in his book. Is it actually going to be possible that there will be a movie with more blood and gore than "Passion"?

20. Paris needs a nose job, BAD!

21. What's the problem with Taylor Hicks' comments? He's only saying what all the other American Idol winners are scared to say...AI is a dying institution!

22. Taylor shouldn't even have had to "apologize" because his words were taken way outta context. But he had the grace to do so anyway.

As for Paris, she's a celeb b/c she's a rich socialite and she parties. If people would stop paying so much attention to what she does (or giving a flying F), then nobody would want to take her pix. I'm no fan of hers cause she doesn't do anything to be a fan OF, but hey, if she'd gone on that show AND told the tasteless jokes about her buds written for her, then everyone would have been on her case for that. She shows some class and refuses to do it -- and people just take the opportunity to randomly insult anything about her -- including her nose -- because she's there. In this particular case, she was damned if she did, and damned cause she didn't. I give her points for backing out, though I can't say I normally would give any thought to what she does.

23. #2 -- Guess you're not! Now get a life!

24. TMZ: What is YOUR excuse for the headline "TAYLOR TRASHES IDOL" when you say within the context that he says things WERE taken out of context -- as they were!

Why not be responsible journalists and say, "TAYLOR ACCUSED OF TRASHING IDOL?" Or wouldn't that be splashy enough for you?

Hey, show SOME integrity if you want to retain your lofty status. Remember "Judith Regan." The mighty can get their asses kicked, ya know?

25. Sassy-the same person wrote both #'s 1 and 2 or can you not read???
And please, if you can't think of anything more original than "get a life" stop posting here. Dumb-ass

Leonard-I heard Paris did actually have rhinoplasty. Hard to believe since her nose still looks like hell but it's true. Goes nicely with her colored contact lenses, fake hair extensions and elephant feet and hands. Ughhhhh
The latest news: a former boyfriend i.e. someone she once fu#ked, claims she has herpes. What a package!!

26. What a shame that your "journalists" don't take the trouble to read the articles they use as the basis for their snarky articles about a decent person like Taylor Hicks. Taylor has consistantly spoken with gratitude about the opportunity he was given by AI to finally achieve his dreams.

You should be ashamed about the reporting in your article -- you and the rest of the tabloid press -- owe Taylor Hicks an apology for the bad reporting you fostered on the public. The Relix article was very clear in laying out what Taylor said -- each year AI runs the show; the process is an arduous cattle call; it takes luck and endurance to make it to the final cut and the term of an idol lasts only a year. That year is almost over and Taylor is realistic enough to know that once the process starts over again in January, he needs to be working on the next step in his career -- the non-American Idol part of his career.

Taylor is already working on this move from American Idol to working musician. Give him credit for being what he is -- a generous, decent, hard working musician and stop with the slander.

27. #14 Mary, BIte me.
The only KING is Elvis. Taylor is not in the same league and never will be.
What are you 13?

28. Um, that is Paris's Nose AFTER the nosejob, duh. She had her nose made to look like that. She and Mommy had similar jobs.

29. By the way, I'm sure Billboard is just devastated that Paris and Brit won't
be there. That's sarcasm in case you missed it.
