Celebrity Justice
Lane Garrison -- Not His First Accident

Click to Watch"Prison Break" star Lane Garrison's SUV struck a tree Saturday night, killing a 17-year-old boy. Just six weeks ago, Garrison was in yet another SUV crash.

A TMZ camera caught Garrison leaving Hyde nightclub on October 20, right after his Land Rover struck an Infiniti in front of him. The driver of the Infiniti began shouting, "Hey stop the car, stop the car, you hit my car!"

Once Garrison saw our camera, he hid his head, pulling his jacket over his face, as he was still driving.

As for the far more serious crash over the weekend, two 15-year-old girls, as well as the 26-year-old Garrison, were also inside. It's unclear who was driving.

16. He was the driver. They were in his car because he was on his way to buy more booze after leaving a party full of high school kids he was at. One of the girls is still in crtical condition and may die. Bad situation all the way around.

17. It seems a bit odd that he had 3 underage kids in the car while DWI. Why is he not in jail? They put Mel in jail for drunken racist rant but this guy gets someone killed and he's out and about.

20. It should be known that Lane was NOT drunk. He blew well below a .08 at the hospital that night, and those facts will be released. That officer saying he had "symptoms of alcohol intoxication" makes this terrible accident look like something it's just not - I think I'd probably appear to be delirious too if I had just been involved in a crash of this severity...

And yea, sometimes celebrities get away with things they shouldn't - but sometimes they get pinned as something they're not as well...

21. No one can argue that Mr. Garrison is in major poop about this accident. A dead underage male, and a seriously injured *really* underage female add up to time behind bars for Mr. Garrison.

But I have to ask: Why am I the first person to ask why these minors were out at that time of night? What responsibility do the parents carry for their neglect?

I realize all of you who make excuses such as "well, that's just what is done today," won't grasp the fact that what is done today is why that male is dead, and the female is seriously injured. If the parents had not done what is done today, but rather what used to be done "back in the day," those two would not be statistics.

In today's victimization society, it is always someone else's fault - it is never the fault of the individual. Sorry, but that male is dead, and those females are hurt, because their parents didn't fulfill their responsibilities to make decisions for their children which the children are not competent to make for themselves.

They are children under 18; they lack the experiences necessary to make good decisions. That is why they can't sign contracts, or consent to sexual liaisons. It is the premise upon which those noting Mr. Garrison's possible underage desires rests.

Put another way, the minors are by definition incompetent to make the decisions about being out at that time, and about consuming alcoholic beverages - or perhaps other drugs. They are incompetent to decide whether or not to ride with Mr. Garrison, and risk their life in his hands.

But the parents don't get off the responsibility hook. They are responsible for making the decisions for those who are incompetent to make the decision for themselves. That, by definition, is "parental responsibility."

In this tragedy, the blood is on the parent's hands, as well as Mr. Garrison's. The parents neglected their children's welfare, and this would not be a topic had the parents done otherwise.

25. Why does everyone care about the "WHY" he had teenagers in his SUV.... who cares.. he just did! He committed a huge crime and now he is going to pay for it! but read on... his lawyers statement gets even better!

26. Supposedly he did NOT know the kids and just met them at a supermarket. Before you all jump to conclusions - you should wait for the complete facts. We are all innocent until proven guilty, remember?

29. You all need stop being so cold-hearted. You guys have no clue the immense pain we are all experiencing right now. One of the most amazing guys at our school is gone and all of you are trying to defend Lane. How about you guys try being sympathetic people and put yourselves in our shoes. Those girls and my friend were not relatives of Lane. He was trying to hook up with one of the fifteen year old girls and my friend was in the car to protect her. Get the facts straight before you start saying stuff you have no clue about.

30. It doesn't matter if Lane blew below 0.8 - The fact is Lane is responsible for killing someone, and hopefully one day some other low life drunk will kill a member of Lane's f***ing family - Please pray that Lane Garrison is brutally raped and beaten in prison
