17. Hmmmm, I don't know... I do believe he feels horribly about what his drunk driving and molester type behavior has done. I do think he needs jail time though, maybe five years. I do not think he cares about his career at this point, he should be thinking about ways that he can turn this trajedy into something positive. We are not supposed to judge him, but it's not fair for him to receive NO punishement while someone has lost their life, adn two other people are changed forever...

18. I don't think after 2 beers over the period of time he had them that he'd be drunk. Up yours to the people who keep trying to slam him... the dude seems shattered. I wonder how many of you arrogent assholes had a couple beers before and got behind the wheel? People are like animals sometimes, when they see something down or hurt they proceed to tear it to shreds.

23. I pray he gets the maximum prison time by law. He needs to sit in prison a long time and think about what he did. A young kid is dead and there's no bringing him back. If there is any justice in the world, he should get the max. Oh wait, it happened in California, I heard that's the only state you can get away with murder, if your a wealthy celebrity.

26. Ok, We've all been to L.A. and it's true you have to have a vehicule to get from point "A" to "B",BUT..BUT why can't these DUMB ASS Celebs take a cab or hire a car? A cab is what $40 bucks? No, they rather drive their expensives cars incase someone photos them! This shows people how f***ing stupid these people really are! Who gives a holly f***ing cow sh*t if Brit's kids are home alone or if she's with Paris? etc.. People talk about Michael Jackson but he never killed anyone or was busted drinking and driving. Somehow, we've already forgot that Paris Hilton was just busted, Princess Lohan is the next Tera Reed(neither can seems to find themselves in a hit movie),Nicole Richie is a "BIG" Heroine addict, and Ms.Jessica will soon be unemployed after her label drops her. Get real, all these hollywood newbies are talentless "JOKES"! To me it's like watching uneducated monkeys eatting their own sh*t. Idiots! Have you noticed "those celebs that don't want to be found and followed "never are"? Sick of all these people,a reality t.v. show,hair extensions and a designer dress don't make you talented or interesting:)

27. # 18 - I read the post again. Lane should not be praised for reminding us of anything. Bottom line he should not be drinking and driving. He is an adult and should have made better choices that evening. And to say he should get off, continue in his acting career, some community service is #13's real message here. The wrong message!!!! He killed someone bottom line and needs to be punished accordingly and should not get special treatment because is in an actor. If you totally agree with #13's post then you might not be all there upstairs too.

28. Poor Guy. I pray for him as well as for the families of those teens. My question is: Where were the Parents? Not just the teens, but Lanes too. I always knew as a kid/teen to never get in a car with anyone drinking, and I didn't need my parents to teach me that. This day in age, you just can't be that stupid. I feel they all played a part in what happened, and while I think Lane was more at fault, I think this is truely a wake up call for all Parents to know, where, and what their kids are doing. You just can't turn your backs and let them run wide....

30. This is going to be just another famous person getting special treatment for something the average person would be aggressively punished for. Why hasnt he been arrested yet? Why wasnt he given a sobriety test at the scene of the accident? Why is it going to take 8 weeks to investigate the accident. I'LL TELL YOU WHY. It gives his lawyer time to arrange for him to go into some type of rehab center and to work out a plea deal. I predict that he wont spend any significant time in jail if any time at all. All you bleeding hearts out there encourage this type of illegal behavior by not speaking out loudly about how this will not be tolerated and how he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Only when they start locking these famous law breakers up for the years that they deserve then the message will get to the rest of them and this type of tragedy will stop being repeated. HE BETTER HOPE I DONT GET CHOOSEN HIS JURY TRIAL if there ever is one.
