Beyonce 32? It's Just a Bad Dream, Girl

The Internet has been ringing with the alarming news that Beyonce Knowles is 32 years old, and not, as she's claimed all along, 25. TMZ did a little digging -- and we've got the definitive answer.

Celeb gossip site MediaTakeOut.com claimed earlier this week to have a document from the Texas Department of Health proving that the pop princess was born September 4, 1974, making her 32. But an authoritative source in Texas tells TMZ that the authenticity of that document could not be confirmed, that the document wasn't an official birth record, and that 1974 is definitely not Beyonce's b-day.

We also put in a call to the High School of the Visual and Performing Arts in Houston, which Beyonce attended, and they told us that she was a student from 1997-2000. If she was born in 1974, that would mean she attended high school from age 23 on. Beyonce might be gullible (at least enough to be ambushed by PETA), but high school at 23? We don't think so.

Beyonce's rep said she had "no idea" how the faux-age rumor began or why it was disseminated. Mediatakeout.com says that they have "thoroughly inspected" the posted document and that it looks "very real."

47. AngelG1, FYI: Most black people have mixed blood going on. I didn't know if you knew that. Whether they are light like Bey or darker, most blacks are mixed with something. Not that that means anything.

49. I know with all of the confusion of older women acting 12 (Fergie, Gwen Stefani) WHO knows!? But she definately has a much more naive look to her than the other ladies. 50. That document is DEFINITELY FALSE. I have an Ancestry.com account and checked on this and it shows Beyonce's name in the birth registry for 1981. Somebody photoshoped the document that TMZ and MediaTakeOut.com is using. If you look at the date 1974, the 74 looks like it was copied from elsewhere in the document and pasted in the year. YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT AND STOP POSTING FALSE INFO.

52. Hell yes she's lying about her age. She's merely the result of clever marketing on several levels. She has no more talent than your typical girl off the street, just savvy marketing. Besides, she wears fur which tells me she's also an uncaring bitch on top of everything else. In a couple of years we'll be saying Beyonce who?

There was a 1990 Houston Chronicle article that featured the Knowles family and their Christmas traditions (I don't know why...their daughters weren't famous yet), and they specifically mentioned Beyonce's age to be 9 and Solange's age to be 4. If Beyonce had actually been 16 at the time, I think the reporter would have known someone was lying. She was definitely born in 1981. Besides, everyone who sees her without makeup says she looks like a teenager. It's the makeup and hair that makes her look old.

If you look at old photos of Beyonce you'll see she does NOT bleach her skin. Look at the pictures of her as a frickin' 10-year-old...she was lighter than she is now.

60. I am sure it is true...look at what it lists her mothers name as....Celestine Ann Knowles. Celestine????? You know her mothers name is Tina, so I am sure they didn't just make up the name. Sometimes there are truths to the rumors.
