Bindi Irwin: Wild Child

Just three months since the death of her father, Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter's eight-year-old daughter, Bindi, says she's "...doing pretty good. We're battlin' on."

In an interview with "Good Morning America," the ever-adorable Bindi, with mom Terri at her side, revealed that snakes are her favorite animal. "They're really nice creatures once you get to know them." We'll take your word for it, Bin.

As for critics who think that Bindi is too young to be around wildlife, Terri says that the pigtailed princess would rather ride elephants than be cooped up in suburbia. The thought of living in an apartment with a goldfish made Bindi chime in, "I don't think I could cope." No Nemo fan, she.

Bindi, who called Steve "the best dad in the world," is continuing her father's work by bringing her animal-loving tour to the U.S. next month. Hannah Montana, watch out!

151. I cannot believe the way some of you are talking about this little girl. This is a child who lost her father unexpectedly and all you jerks can do is talk about her looks. I would hate to see what some of you must look like. She is a child, leave her alone. She happens to be a very cute little girl, and is very well spoken for her age. I am sure from some of the comments I have read on this site, you could not say that. You need to grow up.

152. To those of you that criticize, judge, bash, and insult the Irwins: Shame on you!!

Bindi is not neither ugly nor exploited! Quite the contrary! She is an adorable child and unlike you naysayers...she is an extraordinary child. She is extremely intelligent, articulate, well adjusted, and is continuing the good works of her father in doing all that is possible to educate people about the value of animals and protect those species that are endangered or soon to be endangered because of selfish arrogant people.

And don't give me the free speech BS either...it's a very poor argument considering that the negative opinions expressed are born of pure ignorance at the very least.

Just because those of you that are so cruel in your opinions haven't been fortunate enough to be anywhere near as intelligent and caring, does NOT give you the right to be so hateful.

As for Bindi being exploited: Pfffffffffffffftttttttttttt. Have you ever stopped to think that Bindi continuing Steve's work and his goals is a good thing that has nothing at all to do with financial gain or robbing her of her childhood? Honestly! What makes you so positive that the things that she is doing and enjoying aren't beneficial to her psychological well being? You are only assuming and making judgements based on the very poor upbringing that you have most likely had.

Leave the Irwin family alone! They have never done anything to harm you or anyone else and especially not the animals.

IIn a nutshell...GROW UP!

153. What is wrong with all you people???? Your concerning yourself and insulting an 8 year old child, who loved her dad to bits and wants to follow the path he was setting for her. This is the life she has grown up in. For crying out loud, grow up and leave her alone.......I couldn't believe I was reading what I was.......

You go Bindi!!! enjoy life with your family and animals..........your dad would be so very proud of you!!!

157. Bindi, keep it up sweety! My daughters(10,9 & 5) have grown up with your family. tristen, (10) and her sisters, want to visit your zoo so badly she wont leave me alone!!!! (we live in the states - CT) It's a great feeling for me. I've raised animal / eco responsible children with the help from you and your family.
Example: We recently went to a Disney (florida) gift shop. She saw baby gator heads for sale. She asked me if they were fake and the man working there jumped in and said "No. They are real baby alligator heads."
Tristen can not stop telling her friends about how horrible that was. There must have been at least 50 of them. We left. Didn't buy anything!!!
She still doesn't understand how people can do that. Neither can I.
Thank you for no giving up Bindi. The message is still being heard.
p.s. MOM - You are an inspiration as well. Thank You!

160. Bindi does look so much like her dad, but she's a beautiful child! I admire her for her spirit and dedication to wildlife. She was so poised during the memorial for her dad that I was in awe of her. She brought me to tears. To think that her parents raised such a wonderful being is a blessing. No child is ugly. I'm so appalled at anyone who would say such a thing. I wish Bindi and her family all the best that life has to offer and thank God there are those in this world who think beyond themselves and are willing to dedicate their lives to those beings (whether animals or humans) that need help to survive. God Bless you Bindi!

162. Bindi will grow up to be a beautiful swan just like her mother with the heart and drive of her father. It's a shame however that people like stingray and teeks will never grow up and the world will have to endure their stupidity forever. I hope they are both sterile. Don't need anymore of them.

163. She is growing to look like her mum. Do you think a thing of beauty is built in a day...no way...it takes years to look that good! Give her a few years and the beauty will shine.

164. It is a very good sign for our species that so many were offended by the negative comments toward the child. It brings a smile to an old mans face....pops
