Bindi Irwin: Wild Child

12/8/2006 2:23 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Just three months since the death of her father, Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter's eight-year-old daughter, Bindi, says she's "...doing pretty good. We're battlin' on."

In an interview with "Good Morning America," the ever-adorable Bindi, with mom Terri at her side, revealed that snakes are her favorite animal. "They're really nice creatures once you get to know them." We'll take your word for it, Bin.

As for critics who think that Bindi is too young to be around wildlife, Terri says that the pigtailed princess would rather ride elephants than be cooped up in suburbia. The thought of living in an apartment with a goldfish made Bindi chime in, "I don't think I could cope." No Nemo fan, she.

Bindi, who called Steve "the best dad in the world," is continuing her father's work by bringing her animal-loving tour to the U.S. next month. Hannah Montana, watch out!

To the person who is sending bad messages about Bindy being ugly, Well take a long look at yourself in the mirror you might find that you are talking about yourself. This child has lost her father and I think that she should be shown the respect she deserves. She is a strong, brave little girl who is coping with a great loss. So don't be mean and cruel you must not have a life to sit in judgement of other people so get one. Bindy I think you are cute a very special little girl who just wants to carry on her fathers legacy and I think you are great keep up the good work and maybe will see you with your own show real soon. Take care Terry and Bindy you are in our prayers always.

I have had the opportunity to visit Australia Zoo many times as it is near my families home in Australia. What Steve and his family have done for conservation is nothing but outstanding. Bindi has come through this whole thing with flying colors. Steve and Terri tried to have her live a normal life like other Kids, but the sicko's out there made it impossible. The continual death threats against this little girl forced them to remove her from normal school. She was born for great things and I hope the world just lets her be the wonderful child she is. Her work in animal conservation could play a major part in saving our planet.

to say that Bindi not wanting to own a goldfish in a bowl makes " no Nemo fan, she" is to say that the writer did not see (or understand) the Nemo movie.

Only the dregs of society would make a remark about how Bindi looks, as if that is all that matters. I guess intelligene, spirit, kindness,etc... mean nothing to some of the losers who post here. She's a doll, to those who would sink so low as to criticize her, you must be very sad, lonely people. It must suck to be you.

Way to go Bindi! Keep up the great work just like your dad. As for teeks and racer and those other losers you only wish you were as strong and brave as Bindi and her family. They are doing just what Steve wanted,to keep us informed about animals and how to relate to them. Terri you're doing a great job raising Bindi and Bob. Way to go!

whatthehelliswrongwithyou?

What the hell is wrong with you people talking about Bindi that way? Don't you people realize that children are a gift to the planet? Why would anyone think that what she looks like has to do with anything at all? And anyone who calls any child ugly has got to be out of their damn mind. There is no such thing as an ugly child...tho, once again, that has nothing to do with anything. People are so hung up on looks nowadays and apparently now it has gone to the point of insulting 8 year old children. That's just sick in my book.

Hello i think its really neat that bindi has a gift to be around what her daddy did and it's real brave of a little girl to be around alot of wildlife and all she's doing is going on with the future by doing god's work and completing her dreams

Bindi Irwin is a beautiful child with a huge heart and compassion for other creatures. I can't believe Teeks, Richard, and Corvette Stingray would ever make such demeaning comments about the poor girl. She's just lost her father in a tragic accident and she still finds the strength to carry on his work.
