H-Wood Hotspot Mood Busted for Underage Patrons

Note to Lindsay Lohan and other underage celebs: Don't go to Mood to get your (illegal) drink on.
club mood

TMZ has learned that Mood, the Hollywood club where TMZ spotted 18-year-old Jesse McCartney in violation of drinking-age laws earlier this year, was cited for allowing two under-21-year-olds to enter the premises "without lawful business." Law enforcement sources tell us that the pair, who were not named, used fake IDs to enter the club on April 6th, whereupon undercover agents for the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control were there and caught them.

Jesse McCartneyThe two people under 21 were cited for "being minors in a public place." The hearing on the alleged violation was completed last month, and the ABC is recommending a 15-day suspension of their liquor license, a decision that will be made by an administrative law judge. Mood owner David Judaken tells TMZ that he is "cooperating" with the ABC and its proceedings.

Back in February, TMZ shot video of then-19-year-old Mary-Kate Olsen and then-19 Lindsay Lohan, among others, entering Mood. As of last year, Mood had never been cited even though the City of Los Angeles had issued 207 citations in 2005. Judaken told TMZ in February, "We are diligent about ID'ing people ... Certain celebrities ultimately enter lots of clubs who are not entitled to enter."

31. I think these clubs should get hefty fines like every other club,, the let this underage stars drink because they make good money off of them, and it makes the club more famous, just because you are a star doesn't mean that you can break the law and get away with, even though most of the time they do, it this was "joe smoe", they would be in jail so fast they wouldn't know what hit them. Let's face it, celebrities get off because of their money and their status. When do they take the responsibility for the own actions, if the courts start making examples out of them, then they may think twice before the do crimes or misdemeanors that they do

32. if you turn 19 and can enlist in the military at risk of getting killed in Iraq,
you should be allowed a mixed drink.
But the law states otherwise.
Same thing with marriage and makin’ babies:
It’s legal to get all hitched, but totally illegal to have a
few shots
of tequila to get you through the midnight feedings.
So.
If people underage want to drink, then
work on changing the laws----it’s so sad that
YEAR after YEAR young people don’t work
on trying to get their rights legislated into LAW.
Listen up.
You have the power.
Vote you stupid people.
You want a joint? You want to drink?
Work to make it LEGAL.
You and friends make jack in terms of money at
the local Video store?
Work to raise the damn minimum wage.
EMPOWER yourselves.
And
In the meantime keep your panties on and get your ass out of the “club”

33. The whole "its considered a restaurant" thing is complete BS. I know plenty of bars/restaurants that check all ID's after a certain time (usually 9 or 10 pm). They are also considered restaurants but not for underagers after 9 or 10. I agree with the person below who said that these places such as Hyde, Area, etc... should be boycotted. I mean, not too many people seem to be bothered by the fact that these useless pieces of S**T (so-called celebrities... for what, being sluts and addicts? Yeah.....) are getting their way left and right, but if one of us "normal folk" tried to get our underage friends past the bouncer, they'd be in cuffs in no time flat. FUNNY THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ANY OF THESE HORRIBLY LAME "CELEBRITIES". They are making a mockery of any LAWS that are in place. It needs to stop.

34. First of all, Jennifer is right with her comments! The whole issue is underage drinking and what it does to these young people and their lives! There's been the ones we heard of in the news, tragically. Certainly more that we have not heard.
Will fully allowing the underage drinking is criminal ! And I must say
