"Prison Break" Star's Snobbiness Triggered Crash

"Prison Break" star Lane Garrison may have averted tragedy last week had he settled for a lesser vodka.

Garrison was behind the wheel last weekend when his Land Rover crashed into a tree in Beverly Hills, killing 17-year-old Vahagn Setian. As TMZ first reported, Garrison met Setian and two 15-year-old girls hours before the crash. The teens invited the actor to a party. People who attended the party tell TMZ they saw Garrison drink between four and seven shots of Grey Goose vodka in a short period of time.

Now other sources say seven was the unlucky number of shots. And we're told, Garrison was not drinking out of a shot glass -- the receptacle was much larger.

People who attended the party say Garrison finished off the Grey Goose and was offered Absolut vodka, but insisted on his drink of choice. The sources say Garrison was making a liquor run for more Grey Goose with Setian and the two girls when the accident occurred.

Garrison's high-powered celebrity defense lawyer Harland Braun tells TMZ his client was heading back to his apartment when the crash occurred. Garrison's blood was tested the night of the crash to determine his blood alcohol level. Results are pending.

121. There's a difference between sticking up for someone, and sticking up for the law. Which most of you seem to have forgotten. INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

122. None of you know the whole story. What TMZ and a bunch of drunk teenagers say means f*** all in the real world.

123. "HOT KARL" I imagine with your spelling and lack of sentence structure you had a few before you wrote your dumbsh*t comment. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE, FRAT BOY!

124. They took his blood at the hospital. It takes less than an hour to get an alchohol reading. Don't you think if he had really drank what those kids at the party say he drank that he would have been arrested that night? That's California law. If they detect that you are over the legal limit, especially when there's a death involved he would have been put in jail that night. The reason they haven't announced his alchohol level? It was less than the legal limit. Is TMZ going to run that story when it becomes public. They love to tear celebrities down but will they admit when they're wrong?

125. Exactly #114. They must be testing for drugs now.

126. People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions!! It is nobodies fault but this snotty kid who thought that he was above the law. A person is dead becasue this guy got behind a wheel. Yes it would have been great if the partygoers would have stopped him, but has anyone tried to stop a determined drunk driver from driving before? It is useless, and I am sure that most of the people at the party were drunk also. Come one, seriously, when does it end with the blame game in this country? You do the crime, you do the time. That is why there are so many ridiculous lawsuits that people are actually winning. Adults don't have to act like adults!!!

127. @ "my 2 cents"

Though I do not necessarily agree with everything some of the other posters who are bashing you are saying, I do feel that you are being unrealistic about what "YOU" feel a parent should be doing with their children... You do not know if the parents of the person throwing the party were even aware that a party was being thrown without their presence... Kids/teens are not stupid, they can come up with a plan and execute, and get away with it sucessfully. That being said, while you are claiming you know your childrens whereabouts at all times, this may be true based on their ages... If you have teenagers then you must realize there are ways around your "smothering". They can ditch a class or two while they are supposed to be at school, to do the things "YOU" forbid them to do... Yeah you may find out about it at a later date and time, but the deed has already been done.

Everyone is basically to blame... Lane and the teens, though I don't blame the parents of any of the teens at the party or in the car. WHY do you ask, because maybe they trusted their kids to go to a party and behave in a manner that is acceptible to their moral standards.

The parents probably didn't say hey go have fun getting sh*t faced and having unprotected/protected sex... Don't call me if you need a ride cause you're drunk... Give me and the rest of us posters who don't agree with you a much needed break (rolls eyes)

128. This is a blatant lie posted by TMZ. It will come out when the blood tests are confirmed. I understand the students and friends of the kid are mad, but it's no reason to make up flat out lies. Believe me lying like this in court is perjury, and I doubt all the kids brave enough to pass malicious rumors here will do it there..

133. I would be more inclined to take your response seriously if you could string a sentence together that was grammatically correctly but your atrocious spelling makes it apparent that you're either some trailer trash trollop or ignorant retard.

Whatever, you are clearly not educated enough to pass any worthwhile opinion.

You don't know me and you don't know Lane Garrison so you haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

Lane has not been charged with anything and even charges are forthcoming he deserves his day in court the same as every other citizen. He is INNOCENT until proven guilty.

Don't bother trying to take me on Miapocca because I will seriously wipe the floor with you.

And when Lane's side of the story comes out and his name is cleared.........you can go eat sh*t!!!!!!!

134. whats with the trailer trash nonsense?people usually own thier trailer-what do you do-rent?or sponge off mumsy and popsy?

135. Blame should be divided between all involved, the driver, the kids and the parents of these kids. It easily could have been anyone else behind the wheel. We won't hear how drunk these kids could have possibly been because they are underage. We won't hear how they willingly got into a car with someone drunk which is just plain stupid. We won't hear how maybe they were responsible for their own actions, because it's easier to blame the famous person instead. Everyone shares the blame, including the parents who didn't know where or what their kids were doing. I should hope that werever this party was held, some charges are being brought against those who supplied to all the minors attending. But we won't hear about all that, if or when it happens, because someone famous was behind the wheel. If this kid had been driving himself and had the same accident with the same ending, we would be obliviously unaware, because it wouldn't have gained national attention!
