We don't usually sing the praises of "Saturday Night Live" (because they usually aren't funny), but today we applaud them for sticking it to Mel Gibson in last night's episode.
Just after the monologue, "SNL" aired its own "re-cut" version of a trailer for Mel's new movie, "Apocalypto." Let's just say they made more like the Gibson movie we expect from Mel after his anti-Semitic rant from earlier this year.

43. I thought it was ok, I get the humor. But SNL is faaarrrrrrrr from being 'back'.
Also a question, why is TMZ still slamming so hard on Gibson?? Why are you and others NOT slamming on Rosie O'Donnell after her comments this past week? If she has slammed African Americans, Muslums, etc she would have been. Heck, she even 'outed' (even though it was pretty obvious) Clay Aiken (sp) by saying " IF he were a straight man" a few weeks ago. And yet TMZ is still harping on Mel Gibson. I'm not saying he was right, he was horribly wrong, but why are you so out of touch to believe that his comments are still worth 'crucifying' HIM but bashing Christians is just fine? Or at least easily dropped.

44. Leave Mel alone. He got drunk & I remember a dr. on tv who treats alot of alcoholics said what a person says while hammer, is not how they truly feel. I, personally, don't know but from what I know about Mel, he is a good person. Persecute Rosie instead as she doesn't need to be drunk to rant.
