As for still talking about the Holocaust, the only reason I still talk about it is because racists like the leader of Iran DENY it ever existed! Maybe you're right about the Holocaust and 911; however, in regards to Mel Gibson, I think that the consistent "talking about" Mel Gibson's anti-semitism can do nothing positive for Jews. First, anyone that was offended by his comments have already ditched his movies. Second, I think that it creates even MORE tension between Arabs, Jews, and Christians because it reinforces the belief that "jews control the media". The tragedy to Jews is that in Hollywood, any press attention is GOOD press attention. By consitently bringing Mel into the limelight, his forum only grows larger.

85. "Ari"... you are right that there are many people who when they are reminded of Mel's remarks will say "get over it..." or "I am sick of Jews complaining". I am not here to complain about Mel, I am more concerned with Iran's Ahmadinejad. Mel may have said some dumb things when he was drunk (possibly revealing his true feelings), but he is nothing compared to Ahmadinejad. Mel is BARELY worth talking about.

87. Generalizatons do suck, and I apologize to Proud Jew for my earlier generalization. As for Ahmadinejad, I couldn't agree more that he is one scary S.O.B.

I guess I just can't stand to see anyone get screwed over their words. Whether it be Michael Richard, Danny DeVito or Mel Gibson. Words are words. People say stupid crap when they are upset, drunk or stupid. HOWEVER, none of us would have even KNOWN about these lame tirades unless the press chose to give it so much attention.

I still believe the attention is negative in our pursuit of tolerance. People choose a side and they fight about it. Not good.
