Racism Alive and Well In L.A.

TMZ has obtained stunning video of a racist rant directed at a runner for a television show -- and it all went down in Hollywood.

D'Andre Ford, a runner for the television show "EXTRA," was returning from a delivery Monday when his car was involved in a minor fender bender. Ford claims the other driver struck his vehicle while he was stopped.

When Ford got out of his car to inspect the damage, the other driver began hurling racist slurs -- notably, the N word. Ford, who is African American, activated his cellphone cam and recorded part of the rant, but the other driver didn't seem to care.

Of course, another rant last month at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood sent shockwaves around the world.

TMZ contacted Zakhar Laufer, the other driver. When asked about the racial epithets he said "I did not call him a nigger. That's not true."

61. Here in Socal, we don't put up with Mexican bullsh*t. I f***ed a Mexican once and had his dirty child, and I won't put her in school or get her healthcare because I'm ashamed of it.

I'm just telling you what I see everyday of my life. I see them at the grocery stores with their food stamps and 10 kids buying lobster while I do buy it for special occasions, it's not in my cart regularly and I work 50 hours a week. I work with a lot of the mexican or "hispanic" girls and they are always standing around talking- not english, mind you... which is really annoying not just to me but to others as well, and as their supervisor, its my job to get them working again. I leave the area for a second and they're back at it again. Then the typical thug boyfriends appear to have drama with them and it's a vicious cycle all over again the next day. We write them up and they claim racial discrimination. What to do next? I'm not sure.

Maybe their parents are hard workers who really want to make it, but for the younger generation, they're giving the older ones a bad rap. I shouldn't have generalized all "hispanics" are lazy, because that is simply not the case.
We both know there are certainly lazy people of all races. I'm just tired of the mexican ones at the moment.

I was raised in a proud Italian family in Detroit and I watched my father work like a dog for a thankless employer after he retired from the Marine Corps as a Sgt. Major after 31 years. He had me when he was 55 and for the short time I got to spend with him, I watched him work his butt off to give me a better life. After he died, everything went to hell, but I turned out okay in spite of many hardships and I see these young people (I'm 33 btw) and I wonder where the work ethic went? Aren't people raised with any values and ethics anymore? It's just a 'what's in it for me mentality' and it has made me quite jaded in the last few years. Sorry if I offended, just sounding off.

68. Racism is something you have in America. Sorry but just read your own posts here. They speak volumes about how you Americans feel about different races. It’s not such a big deal in other countries. You should fix it soon since the rest of the world is more advanced in way they see humans. English is not my first language so sorry for any bad grammar.

72. Whats so sad is that we are the only ones so far that we know of in this galaxy. All on the same ball we call earth. And yet...almost each race is trying to top the other as to who is the better and who is the worst. And which belongs where. I'd be ashamed if some other intelligent life ever did come to earth. Damn aliens,....keep your spaceships out of here. Go back where you belong.

I'm quite sure that the Mexicans you have made negative comments about can be said about anybody from any race. There are thugish, low life people of all races. The Mexican people that I do know and have grown up with have been positive influences in my life.

74. It's frustrating being an American who has to deal with any person that lives in this country and does not take the time to learn and speak the language while they are in a business setting. Who cares what language they speak to one another. This would not take place in any other country...

My friend works for the County of Los Angeles and she she's all sorts of people of different nationalities come in to get welfare but yet they cannot speak the language, and need an interpreter...

That is something I do not condone. Still no racist comments should be spewed because someone has an accent or speaks another language, or because of race or religion.
