Racism Alive and Well In L.A.

Racist rant caught on tapeTMZ has obtained stunning video of a racist rant directed at a runner for a television show -- and it all went down in Hollywood.

D'Andre Ford, a runner for the television show "EXTRA," was returning from a delivery Monday when his car was involved in a minor fender bender. Ford claims the other driver struck his vehicle while he was stopped.

When Ford got out of his car to inspect the damage, the other driver began hurling racist slurs -- notably, the N word. Ford, who is African American, activated his cellphone cam and recorded part of the rant, but the other driver didn't seem to care.

Of course, another rant last month at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood sent shockwaves around the world.

TMZ contacted Zakhar Laufer, the other driver. When asked about the racial epithets he said "I did not call him a nigger. That's not true."

91. The Mexicans that have come to this country to have a better life tend to be nice people and very hard workers. However their kids are the ones who are going to be the real problem. It's a huge criminal underclass that's growing every day. Gangs, drugs,etc... I hope we keep building more jails because we're going to need them for this bunch of lowlifes.

92. at age 34---I, PERSONALLY, haven't taken anything from anyone. Why do people use tht SAME bullsh*t excuse??? We all know WHO did WHAT & to whom and WHEN it happened! It sure seems to me the MAIN problem with getting RID of ANY kind of racism is the FACT that each one of our respective groups(i.e. ethnic, religious, creed, nationality, etc.) are STILL persecuting the others.....and for crap that our ANCESTORS did. WE cannot go back and DO a thing about any of it except LEARN not to keep REPEATING those things. So, DROP it and LEARN from it.

Turning it back on each other only perpetuates the whole issue. The ISSUE would be a NON-ISSUE if everyone would stop using the past as an EXCUSE for what happens everyday in each one of our lives. I'm not letting the past decide MY future. Those who CHOOSE to use excuses DO get what they deserve---especially the driver who verbally attacked the other driver. On THAT note, whoever & WHEREever he is from-----he will stand in REAL judgment one day---and I'm thinking it will likely be VERY HOT there.

As for AMERICA, the GREATEST place to live in the WORLD(IMHO)....Last time I checed, we have Border Control coming IN, not OUT. I don't care who was brought where by whom and when. I wasn't on those ships and neither were YOU.

93. You guys having problem with racists should move to Tucson, AZ. We have a great mix of people. Gray, white, brown, black, gay, Christians, Muslims, Hindu, Atheist, and various mixtures of all. I've never heard anyone complain about discrimination. My girlfriend is black and my best friend is Hispanic. I've read these comments and I think, I would move out of what ever state, city, or county, you live in where "race" still seems to play such a major role in your lives. Free yourselves move to a place where no one cares what/who you are. As long as you not an @sshole, you'll get along well here.

95. What is going on in this country? Is this what our military men and women are fighting for? I'm all for freedom of speech, but come on people. I'm sick of hearing all this racial BS. With all of the crap going on in the world, our own citizens can't even get along. A simple fender bender came to this, how sad!

I visit TMZ every day and read a bunch of ridiculous comments. I've never felt compelled to post my own, but all this racial crap just seems to be getting so out of hand. Call me naive, but it's 2006 and this just shouldn't be happening.

Go back to where we came from? This country was built by immigrants. Those MEXICANS you just mentioned...many of which are illegal, they are immigrants too.. should they go back?

Renee you are ignorant. This country was stolen from the natives of this land, inlcuding parts of mexico from the Incas, Axtecs, etc. Yes there are illegal immigrants now, but the commentor was referring to past tribulations. Think before you speak. Actually that goes for all of you on this board. Happy that I have more than one brain cell.

I may harbor some animosity for the mexican immigrants right now because of everything that's happening in Cali and the rest of the US, but just ask around....
LOTS of people feel this way. I am allowed to express my opinion just like anyone else.

For the record.... I don't employ the lazy dumb-asses, my company does and steps are being to taken at this very moment to terminate the employment of said lazy dumb-asses. If they were purple or green and lazy, they would still be just that, no matter what the race.... As I have pointed out several times now. Another thing... I never said my father was an italian immigrant. I said I came from a "Proud Italian Family" in Detroit. My Grandfather came over on the boat and started his own business. He entered the US legally, btw.

99. What ever happened to the words "A**hole", and "Mother Fu**er", etc.. to describe or curse at someone we dislike? A lesson we obviously need to pass on to our future generations is to not even have some of these words in their vernacular. That just because some man who may happen to be black, acting like a jerk doesn't justify calling them that word, or any drivitive of it. Why have it loaded, why have it easily accessible in the brain? Why even use it?

That and hell, the ignorance of it all, across all boards. Religion, skin color, ethnicity, all that means nothing at the root of it all. We are all the same thing.. a species called a human being. Try as you might to make yourself superior in your mind, you still are bound to the facts. It's our need or foolish want of a group to belong to that breeds this made up exclusivity. Self imposed fiction sure is fun! *cough..*
