76. I cannot believe Trump did not fire her! She is a perfect example of what young girls should not aspire to be! There are many upstanding women who deserve to wear the crown! I hope she takes her white trash self back to KY and ends up in a trailer park! She is a disgrace!

77. I am retired military and a Viet Nam vet. We have laws in America. When I returned from Viet Nam after a year of combat, I was 20yrs old, I could not have a beer. I was told to leave the bar or I would be arrested. We are quick to say in America "protect the kids", but what are we really teaching the kids when you let a child that PLAYS a lead roll for young girls get a 2nd chance for drinking under age. But just because you have money, you can step up and say "lets give her a 2nd chance". I told my daughter "that's not the America I went to fight for, that's the other America, the one for the rich". I think she should step down. How long have she been living that night life.

78. No doubt she is very attractive, and no doubt many will overlook what she's done because of the way she looks. If any of the stories about drugs, being kicked off the cheerleading squad and going to an alternate school are true (see previous comments), then it just shows she was a train wreck waiting to happen and her parents were more concerned with winning a pageant than taking care of their child. Personally, I believe there's more basic truth in a movie like "Drop Dead Gorgeous" than anyone really wants to admit.

With media hype, though, you never know if you're really getting the facts.
I just hope Tara is smart enough to learn from her mistakes, for her own sake. As for her future success, America is a very forgiving country. If you mess up and are truly sorry and acknowledge your mistake, you get a second chance.

Remember Vanessa Williams? She lost her crown because of those nude pictures of her with another woman. Yes, I was one of the millions of guys who rushed out to buy that issue of Penthouse. Yes, I liked the pictures and found them very erotic. Yes, as hypocritical as it is, I think it was a mistake for her to do the pictures. She went on to become the most successful Miss America/Former Miss America in history. Why? Because she acknowledged what she did, that it was a mistake, and moved on. It didn't hurt that she looked really hot.
It also didn't hurt that she turned out to be an incredibly talented woman.

Time will tell if the same can hold true for Tara.

79. This whole thing is just a mirror of our hypocritcal standards. First of all, Beauty Queens are not role models, they are too young to accomplish anything of substance. Second, we put sexy people on a pedestal only to tear them down when we put their lives under a microscope. This is tremendous business for the media to fill time with their self righteous judgemental views while they cash in on the titillation factor. At the end of the day it is a meaningless rant that only keeps us from focusing on real issues that effect our lives. Modern American life is a kalidescope of worthless hero worship.

83. I can't believe how harsh and lacking compassion most of you are. People with this kind of behavior are often suffering from emotional problems that cause emotional pain. Getting high and being promiscuious gives temporary relief from the pain. We are all Gods children no matter the behavior.
