34. I think when Jessica filed for divorce last year, she thought she was on the road to fame and fortune. She had alot of offers come in, and she thought she had it made. But time has shown she truly has no talent. Everything she has done this year has been unsuccessful; movie, CD, TV appearances ( she was horrible hosting the Teen Choice awards), and now the humiliating performance at the Kennedy Center honors.

She cannot compete with TRUE talent such as Justin, Christina, or Beyonce. I think Beyonces career is what Jess thought she could achieve! HA!!!!!

37. This girl is a dim bulb AT BEST! At worst she is a cute FAKE...but all you people out there who buy her records and watch her movies are nuts as well.

And I agree completely with #15. Who in holy heck thought that it would add ANYTHING to the Kennedy Center telecast to have that girl on it? Puhleeze. fire those yahoos for being clueless.

But then again, Dolly Parton was not exactly the most cosmopolitan singer when she first entered the biz...so maybe somebody thought it was a good fit. Just one thing wrong....Dolly is a talented and consummate professional who always runs the show. Jessica is well.... I don't know what.

jessica being on a show automatically puts in a very minor key for me. This is an slightly talented woman, with a great hair stylist and a cute figure. The first time I \saw her perform was on Oprah a couple of years ago and I almost laughed myself outa the chair. I was definitely scratching my head over her uncanny ability to make money while having NO talent...but hey, others have done it with good PR firms behind them.
You better milk this for all you can Jessica. I don't really see you doing much in your 40s unless you learn how to ACT real quick. the wobbly singing is already out of style and dumbness is NOT in. Actually the funniest thing she has done is her latest commercial. Stick to that.

39. nerves? jitters? being on stage for this girl should be nothing short of routine. if anything, she should fear boredom as do the rest of us whenever she appears. to be perfectly frank, it has everything to do with being disrespectful and unprofessional. no wonder her mother was upset. as for her father not getting upset, he's way past delusional. but i do think it's funny that this unprofessionalism was in front of the bushes. i can't think of a more captive audience. they probably thought it was an even better rendition than the original songstress could ever produce. hicks.

41. Yea, Jessica definitely lives in the clouds. She thinks her blond hair and that stupid grin on her face can erase any mistake she makes. You're in your 20's honey, not a 10 year old child, grow up or get out of the business. And the way she was holding her dress up the whole time just irritated me. When did she try this dress on? were there no rehearsals beforehand?? it seemed like she was out shopping all day and then was running late and just threw everything together a minute before the show. How pathetic. I'm actually glad this happened.

42. It would have been embarrassing to see it on TV--I can't believe that Jessica Simpson would flub those lyrics in front of all those high class people at the Kennedy Center Honors. I'm glad that she took it out. CBS would have been flooded with angry calls and E-mails if it had aired. She had this chance to improve her album sales of A Public Affair with this performance and she blew it. I'll predict that none of those high class people will buy her album the next day after they check out of their hotels in Washington, DC.

She certainly learned a big lesson with this mistake, & is paying the price, But she not running around without panties on, or in AA, or whoring around. Or would you rather Jessica do that & put on a good performance. She is sweet & a good person who made a mistake. Only Jessica will pay for her mishap not all of you! Give her a break!!!!!!! Show me a person who hasn't f==ked up at one time or another, because we all have............................
