Rosie Doesn't Take The Donald's Bait

Rosie O'Donnell shot back at Donald Trump this morning on "The View" -- with nothing more than a piggy-ish face.

Fitting, perhaps, since "pig-faced" was just one of the adjectives Trump used to describe Rosie yesterday after their public slapfight exploded. Against expectations, Rosie chose not to get in the ring with the Infamously-Coifed One, making only passing reference to The Donald.

Pointing out the presence of her partner Kelli in the studio audience, Rosie said, "I was afraid to leave her home in case someone with a combover [ahem] came and stole her from me."

And that was that. Meanwhile, Donald vented on "Good Morning L.A." Is Rosie now taking the high road, or has she been silenced? Her rep says she's has no additional comment.

A rep for "The View" provided this comment from Barbara Walters, who is out of the country, to TMZ: "Donald Trump is a personal friend of mine and has been a good friend to 'The View' for many years. I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of 'The View'. I certainly hope and expect that this tempest will pass quickly."

166. Perhaps Rosie O'Donnell was not prudent in her remarks attacking Mr. Trump, but the attack was clearly one which voiced her concern about an "underage drinker" being portrayed as a role model. Donald Trump is a clever businessman, and this certainly generates interest in Miss USA when, heretofore, no one cared at all. Even "bad" publicity is better than no publicity at all.
That said, however, Donald Trump had no right to attack Rosie O'Donnell's physical appearance or her lifestyle. His behavior was ugly. His attack was mean spirited and personal, and it is quite clear that the bashing of gays and fat people is still applauded by our society.

167. I like both of them. Very entertaining. I think Rosie's allowed to her opinion and allowed to say it--that's the forum of The View. Donald on the other hand didn't need to get quite so upset. Methinks he doth protest too much. Apprentice is about my favorite show-TiVo it and never miss a show. The View is pretty good to check in on to see what's being said. Pure entertainment with opinions. If we have to resort to "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.." then I'm outta here. I like an opinion and I love to hear someone say what they really think. Leave Rosie alone. She's cute and funny...you people are nuts who think otherwise. She's herself. I'm so glad they don't only let skinny perfect people on TV. Way to go.

168. I think Rosie is funny and entertaining. Trump is an a**hole. I can't believe he attacked her weight, looks, and sexual preference. I agree with whoever said it's nice to see "normal looking" people on TV - not only thin beautiful people. Rosie is also very generous with her money to many charities...unlike Trump who's only into himself. GO ROSIE...I watch the View everyday and enjoy every minute of it!!!

169. Rosie is just the latest edition of Roseanne Barr.........White trash with money, .........and no brains. By the way, what even made her a celebrity? We certainly know that it wasn't her talent because she has none, perhaps it was her beauty and rappier wit.............................NAH!
Without your money Rosie, you would be just another resident of any large cities houseing projects. Count your blessings, and shut your mouth. You will NEVER be in the same league with the likes of Mr. Donald Trump.

170. I laughed at Rosie's comments and her dead-on imitation of "The Donald" and was shocked at the fallout. Then I remembered how horribly angry and personal he became over the Martha Stewart problem. How sad that this man, who - on the surface - has so much, can become so volatile and incredibly ungracious. A little humor, a bit of self control; it would have gone so far in making him look a lot less insecure and threatened.

This is NOT normal behavior. Perhaps a full medical workup is in order. Stroke? Psychosis? Bipolar Disorder? Depression? Anger management issues? Brain tumor? Early Alzheimer's? Chemical issues?

He's always been a pretty sharp cookie, and deserves the benefit of the doubt until we know what's REALLY wrong with him. He has young children, let's hope he gets well.

171. I cant believe all of the stupidity in regards to this issue. First off, Rosie is saying these things out of anger or hatred, not for comedy. I love comedy, but I haven't seen a serious comedic effort out of Rosie for years. She likes bashing those who oppose her views, period. Tom Selleck, Oprah, Kelly Ripa, Donald Trump, Christians, and finally her making fun of Asians. She is a typical of people of her type. She finally gets to live life as she wants, publicly, and then bashes those who dont think like her, the very thing she hated about those who bashed her before her views were considered "acceptable". Rosie is a disgusting self rightous left wing idiot that cannot handle being in the spotlight. Typical white trash.

Now, do I think "The Donald" is Mr. Wonderful, uh no. He has made more mistakes than most americans have, but that is in part, because hes willing to take the chances. If Rosie is saying that, because Donald is imperfect he cannot make a moral decision for others, then lets stop making moral decisions in this country, period. NO ONE is perfect, he just so happens to be in charge of that organization. So yes Rosie and croonies, he has the right to make the decision. Also, for you bumbling idiots, making a false comment in media is called libel, as ole Mr. Webster has it written, "a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression". That said, Mr. Trump hasn't personally claimed bankruptcy. His businesses "may" have, but he personally hasnt. So yes, she is guilty! I do think Donald handled it very unprofessionally. He is a very sucessful business man and I think its a shame that he allowed her to bring him down to her level, but as most of you seem to forget (Rosies supporters), she fired the first shot. Both of them should cool off, Rosie needs to learn how to keep her mouth shut and know the facts before spouting off next time.

172. Rosie has the right to voice her opinion and thats just what she did. It was taken way out of context and now people are attacking her sexual preference, weight, looks etc. The statement was twisted by the media. As for Trumps bankruptcies...be it personal or his companies....who cares. He isn't giving to Katrina victums or needy children, that you read about. No you read about the extragant monies that are spent on his wedding, wedding dress's, and baby, but its his right to spend his money anyway he feels. It is NOT his right because he has money to try to intimadate or manipulate someone, just because they have an opinion that disagree's with his. I find his remarks about Rosie extremely personal & offensive. Years ago we had talk shows like Joe Pyne and the likes where people were able to be frank & honest and voice opinions and argue without it going to the level this has. Sure shows the mentality decline here in our Country. Of course, now they want God out of everything too...so just where are we all headed??? I applaud you Rosie, be true to what you believe....thats a novelty now days especially if it's unpopular.

173. Rosie had the courage to say what most American's think about Trump. If the little girl wasn't so pretty and from Kentucky, the "second chance" would be a firing -or if she was gay like Rosie. It's time to end homohobia now and Donald really over-reacted and it was not very gentlemanly and shocking.

174. No one gets offended when Leno and Letterman take pop shots at celebs. Rosie is a comedian, it's her job to poke fun. Trump only values exterior and often garish beauty in his women and his real estate. Had Rosie been a beauty queen, The Donald would have asked her for a date. . Melania had better hurry and lose that baby weight, or she'll be history too. Realistically, her time as Mrs. Trump will only last as long as her youth and beauty do, but who can feel sorry for her. Can we really believe Melania is in love with Trump?. Can we really believe she's attracted to him? Hey Donald, show some substance. You can't take it with you..

175. I agree wholeheartly with Rosie, Donald Trump is an idiot acting like a child, his reponse and outlashes are immature. If he were the bigger person he would have let the comment go in one ear and out the other, the fact of the matter is the comments were quite true. Donald has no room to question anyone's moral standards.

176. Cant someone have a different opinion without another person getting nasty?

177. Everything Trump said is true about Rosie and she knows it. She really doesn't belong anyplace in this world, everything she touches gets destroyed by her evil mouth. There is something wrong with this person, she needs help, but where does one begin.

178. Donald is a sicko. Rosie must have touched a nerve now Donald is looking more Psycho then usual! Donald is nothing but a looser who started with his Fathers Money and many times his fathers money had to bail him out of bad mistakes! Rosie worked herself to where she is with never a dime given to her. Donald is a cheapo who hardly gives anything to charity. He has much more money then Rosie does yet if you research the charity donations Donald only gave 300,000 this year to charities where Rosie has given 3 million.

And if Donald did not have all his money he would never have had model wives .He is stupid who speaks with an uneducated New York accent and never says anything intelligent he just repeats himself all the time. The Trump is a dump! Rosie touched a very deep nerve with him and his ego is shot and now he is hitting all the talk shows acting like a second grader , throwing insults to get his ego back on track. In the mean time he is making a bigger joke if himself then he is. If he had any handlers with brains he should have had his P.R. make a statement about this and then shut up. He is STUPID!!

179. On an early episode of "The Apprentice" the Donald referred to Jessica Simpson as "the greatest rock star in the world"---a claim I'm sure even Miss Simpson would find ridiculous. The man is obviously insane.

180. You know one stops and thinks about the war ,well everyone is entitled to their opinion ,with such bickering around the united states one would think pres, Buch could actually bring our men & women home to help settle this lil war,I'm not saying either Rosie nor Donald are right nor are they wrong they have the right to voice their opinion but I think Rosie hit a nerve on Donald and that is why he is acting the way he is but wait...................I forgot someone told me he has no nerves just a alot of wannabe Mrs.D. Trump's ,.
NO FEAR .............Kelly won't leave Rosie they have a great family and adorable children so lay off kelly leaveing Rosie it isn't going to happen in Trump's lifetime
