Rosie Doesn't Take The Donald's Bait

Rosie O'Donnell shot back at Donald Trump this morning on "The View" -- with nothing more than a piggy-ish face.

Fitting, perhaps, since "pig-faced" was just one of the adjectives Trump used to describe Rosie yesterday after their public slapfight exploded. Against expectations, Rosie chose not to get in the ring with the Infamously-Coifed One, making only passing reference to The Donald.

Pointing out the presence of her partner Kelli in the studio audience, Rosie said, "I was afraid to leave her home in case someone with a combover [ahem] came and stole her from me."

And that was that. Meanwhile, Donald vented on "Good Morning L.A." Is Rosie now taking the high road, or has she been silenced? Her rep says she's has no additional comment.

A rep for "The View" provided this comment from Barbara Walters, who is out of the country, to TMZ: "Donald Trump is a personal friend of mine and has been a good friend to 'The View' for many years. I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of 'The View'. I certainly hope and expect that this tempest will pass quickly."

34. Go Rosie - Donald Trump's a jerk! The whole Miss USA firing thing was just hype and free publicity for "The Donald" -- and his comments on the phone today were ridiculous. Rosie and Joy had it right on the mark about him. Who is he to preach moral standards? Rosie is an entertainer -- a comedienne -- and being a spoiled rich publicity-hungry ass makes one a prime target for comedy -- he painted the target on himself and he loves every minute of it. He's the original "What's in It for Me" and "Look at Me" guy ...!!!

35. Trump has nothing on Rosie---he took the argument to a personal level, which is both unprofessional and immature (as if he's one to talk). She's right--he did this all for attention because no one cares about his lame pageant. All the news reports said he had made his decision weeks ago, but was relishing the attention. And, Rosie's right---he is like the only owner of property on the Vegas Strip who can't have a casino or any sort of gambling on the premises because he has declared bankruptcy. He's living in his own little world, is jealous of Rosie's success on tv as his own show continues to dwindle down the tubes.

38. love Rosie and really hated to see her show end, and as I recall she quit to spend time with her kids, as she had enough money for herself and all her charities, but why not go back to work after a few ytears? You need a change. I enjoy her, after all she is a comedian, therefore she makes jokes, so do the nighttime hosts. Do they fight and argue, What Trump said about Rosie was darn nasty.Used to like Donald, not so sure since he has been doing The Apprentice and all, and that sweet young thing drinking and keeping the crown, OH NO, not a good example.She new better. Miss Oprah, I have never watched much thru the years.Too High and Mighty, and again a bad example for the younger generation by living with a man for so many years and not being married. 45. I went to CBS.com and wrote to them about this. I also e-mailed Barbara Walters. Rodse's rants are just hard to listen to. She wants the whole world to be accepting and non-judgemental of her but she is one of the worst "judgemental" people I have ever seen! I want to see her replaced. Get her abrassive, uncouth, loud mouthed self off the air before she brings down the View. Any one remember a few of Rosies failed projects!
