Lets Get This Party Started
Miss Nevada Wants Her Second Chance, Too

Stripped beauty queen and former Miss Nevada Katie Rees begged Donald Trump yesterday to give her a second chance, just like he did for Miss USA Tara Conner.

At a press conference in Florida, Rees said that the racy photos that incited a hurricane of controversy were "from an isolated incident" and that they don't "reflect who I am or who I plan to be." Rees' lawyer, Mario Torres, pointed out Rees' 3.8 GPA in high school and said that he might take legal action against the pageant if the Donald didn't un-fire his client.

Rees used the incident to helpfully warn other young women not to expose themselves in front of random people's cameras. "Please don't let your guard down when it comes to being photographed," she advised.

Babwa Loves Rosie, Disses Other "View"-ers

Rosie might be Barbara Walters' pet these days at "The View," but it might not be making Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck very happy.

Just the other night, at "The View's" holiday party, as Page Six reports, Babwa took the mic to tell everyone just how much she adored O'Donnell (who wasn't even at the bash), but omitted any mention of Joy or Elisabeth, and left the stage. Joy Behar, says a spy, had some "animated" words with producer Bill Geddie, at which point den mother Walters had to awkwardly re-take the stage and gush about Behar and Hasselbeck as well. Babwa blamed the snub on the fact that she didn't have notes.

Meanwhile, Geddie brought the house down when he said, looking back on the year, "Meredith [Vieira] decided she wanted to leave, and we decided we wanted Star [Jones] to leave."

Trump Uses Nephews for Coat Check

Meanwhile, Donald Trump knows where to find the cheapest labor – right in the family. The Donald had a fancy fete to open his Trump Park Avenue building last week, and a spy for Ben Widdicombe's Gatecrasher says that when it came time to tip the coat-check guy, the attendant said, "Oh, no thanks – we're his nephews. We're just helping out." Confusingly, a rep for the building's real estate agents tells Widdicombe that the "nephews" might actually have been Trump's sons Eric and Don, Jr.

Party Favors: Schwarzenegger Breaks Leg While Skiing ... "Happyness" Guy Skips Premiere for Speech ... Hilary Duff to be Barbie

It'll be a painful Christmas for California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who broke his right leg in a skiing accident yesterday morning in Sun Valley, Id. No details were immediately available about the accident, but no one else was injured in the mishap. ... Chris Gardner, the man on whom the Will Smith film "The Pursuit of Happyness" is based, missed his own film premiere in L.A. to honor a commitment to speak in Wisconsin. Gardner is a Milwaukee native ... Hilary Duff, like Lucille Ball and Beyonce before her, will have a Barbie doll made in her image. The Red Carpet Glam Hilary Duff Doll, comes complete with a polka-dot dress with a red satin sash.

31. Hey whitey, take the pillow case off your racist head, put it back over the pillow and have some nice dreams. You know, burning crosses or churches.

32. Farrah, its people like you that piss me off to no end...you want to stop racism and promote equality, yet your just lowering yourself to the people you are against by striking back with more racial remarks. If your so damn intelligent, quit talking like trash and show some class. And before you get on my case and call me some racial slur, just to let you know, I'm white and my boyfriend is black...if someone makes some racial slur to you, the best thing you can do is hold your head high...if you keep talking back, your just lowering yourself to them.

33. Back on topic....while I don't agree with Miss USA getting a second chance, if she can get one, why can't Miss Nevada too? Shows how ignorant and prejudice Trump is

34. Gwen,

Why are you lurking on a celebrity news website instead of curing AIDS, ending world hunger, or bringing peace to the Middle East?

Seriously, what's the point of defending Miss Nevada Gone Wild three times in one thread? You're not exactly demonstrating the worth of pageant contestants by dwelling on the issue.

35. I just hope miss nevada doesn't wake up one day with a sore p***y, and about 50 loads blown into her wondering what happened.Even if that did happen I'd still bang the slut if she would let me.

36. After gawking at all those lezzie pics of Katie Rees, I now have to grab a roll of paper towels to wipe my computer screen. It's a mess.

With that said, she deserved to lose her Miss Nevada title.

37. Gwen, Katie Rees may not be representative of most beauty pagent contestants, but she IS representative of most young women and teen girls of today. Lesbianism is a mental disease that must be cured. Guys who find lesbianism appealing are potential rapists, pedophiles and sex offenders.

38. Message in a bottle, Farrah is typical of most blacks. They moan and groan and whine and cry about white racism, but at the same time, most blacks are black racists. Most blacks are hypocrites. That's why I hate blacks.

39. Pageantry in any form, especially Miss America, Miss USA, or any other local pageant. It is true that these pageants are not only traditions, but great sources of scholarships for the chosen few who can appropriately "impress" the judges. I've seen the inside of the Miss America Organization on both local, state and national level. and let me tell you this, the reconstituted sunshine they spew is not full of vitamin-c. Anyone involved with it is just as vile for the amount of stress, coaching, and "molding" they put kids through just to do it and call it entertainment. From the Child pageantry level to the International T&A festival they call Miss Universe, it is nothing more than pure exploitation.

Gwen, Just to make sure we're clear on this, I've seen as many pageant girls like you who put on a wonderfully wholesome face tot eh public, and adamantly defend the pageantry world, but the same could have been said about Nazi Youths during the peak of the Third Reich. Wholesome, exemplary beacons lit by the torch of twisted ideals and brainwashed by organizations that feel the need to impress upon the female youth of America and the world this "Perfect 10" figure, and Donna Reed plastic personality. I know what it is like to deal firsthand with Pageantry girls. There is more deceit and malicious intent than any political contest ever held since the like Aaron Burr pulling a gun on the floor of the senate.

And, I've got 3 words for anyone who tries to rebut me on this: Jon Benet Ramsey.

40. Coot,

My message to you is short and sweet. YOU NEED MENTAL HELP.

41. Gwen, Coot makes a valid point. I'm sorry that you are so blind to what pageants are really about.

42. To Moral Compass and to Gwen:

I am not as so blind as you would think. In the US alone, many state organizations are rocked with both financial irresponsibility but moral violations, meaning exploitation and/or sexual harassment from supervising members of both local and state preliminary contests. Yes, i agree that these pageants are for more charitable and well-intentioned means for young women to not only express themselves but earn money for those who are unable to go to college without non-federal financial help or loans. However. The fund raising aspects of the pageant business itself is rife with corruption and substandard exploitation practice of young females of all ages. The path to hell is paved with good intentions, and like many corrupt supposed non-profit agencies, should be reformed to what the core foundation for them were. However in both the case of the Miss USA and Miss America organizations, these started out as nothing more than beach side burlesque shows.

Furthermore, The contestants who can afford to compete, going back to fund raising, are required to parle obscene amounts of money not only to their local preliminary, but also to a state preliminary via outside sales, and then expected to pay thousands of dollars on wardrobe and makeup. For those who actually are able to afford such a bill, they are also the one capable of paying their way to college in the first place. This logically makes the organizations elitist competitions to begin with.

That's all i'll say on that lest I merit the fangs of a daddy's girl.

Lastly, if you are going to rebut, do so with that paid for coaching public speaking skill and be intelligent about it. Telling someone they need mental help when you (more than likely) do not have neither the qualifications nor the background to properly judge a person to warrant such a comment.

"A person should not attempt to defend a point of view to which they cannot out wit the other person with intelligence. Insults are bad manners unless it's not perceived as one."- Oscar Wilde

45. Coot,

You will find good and bad in all walks of like. Pageantry is no different. I admire the hard working and dedicated state directors who more often put their lives on hold to advance their programs. I know of several. To paint a broadbrushed stroke over an entire group of people is dangerous and doesn't accurately portray what I have encountered in this industry. In the program I was associated in as a teenager the state entry fee was minimal compared to many local pageants. I didn't have to ask my parents for one dollar. Well their was the evening gown, but I needed one for the prom so Mom and Dad were all to willing to see to it that I wore the same gown twice. There was no swimsuit competition at my state pageant and that was an added plus. I had the time of my life. From that experience I eventually entered both the Miss America and Miss USA Pageants on the local and state levals. I connected with many outstanding young women at these programs, and learned a great deal about myself in the process. By no means is pageant participation for everyone. I personally can't see why golf is so popular. Grown men and women hitting a ball around grass doesn't thrill me, and watching it on television for me is like watching paint dry.

As far as parents are concerned, like in any sport you will find the defensive ones and the terrific ones. What did I learn in the process? Interview skills, confidence building, and appreciation for the hard work that volunteers and state directors do to get that final show to look great.

If I was defensive it was for good reason. I will not stand idly by and watch an entire industry that helped me build character and confidence go down the drain for the mistakes of an extremely small minority. Am I pleased with Donald Trump this week? Absolutely not. I will however continue to speak kindly of the overwelming majority of young women I have met involved in pageantry who are involved in community activites and have made my life more enriched just by knowing them.
