Clay Aiken: American A-Hole?

Clay Aiken and Joshua WillardClay Aiken's diva-like behavior has got one former fan pissed off. The former "American Idol" star is being accused of booting a 15-year-old boy off of a concert line-up simply because he wasn't festive enough.

Joshua Willard won a North Carolina singing competition, which gave him the chance to perform with the Greensboro Symphony during Clay Aiken's Holiday concert on Saturday. Willard told TMZ he rehearsed his song, Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," and had just finished a soundcheck when managers of the Symphony told him the devastating news that Aiken's camp had decided that he would not be allowed to perform because he was not singing a Christmas song. Bah humbug!

Curiously, other singers who did have holiday songs prepared were also not allowed to sing. Instead, Willard was only allowed to lead a 30-second group singalong. Lisa Crawford, CEO of the Greensboro Symphony, told TMZ that the children were never promised they could sing with Clay; "It was his tour and show. We were just hired to play."

A photogallery of Stars Behaving BadlyDuring his concert, Willard says Aiken "was trying to be more of a comedian than a singer," -- and an unfunny one at that. Aiken made multiple references to his controversial appearance on "Live with Regis and Kelly," where he attempted to put his hand over Ripa's mouth. Willard says Aiken was rude to audience members and told several people to sit down and cover their mouth. Clay even showed a raunchier side by pretending he had flatulence every time feedback came through the speakers. Talk about making a stink!

An hour after the show, Willard got to meet Clay, but says that Miss Thing was "snotty" and acted like he was too good for his little fans. The former Claymates were even told not to take individual pictures with Aiken, only group shots. Willard is devastated and says that due to Aiken's behavior, he now "could care less of Clay." Joshua hopes to tryout for the next season of "American Idol," to show the world what a down to earth Idol is really like.

Calls to Clay's rep were not immediately returned.

46. Typical, yet another inaccurate bashing TMZ article about Clay Aiken and all its Clay haters cronies come predictably come running out of their "closets" to spew their hatred upon him. None of whom attended the concert including the writer "TMZ staff" of this article.

Wow, yet another biased article about Clay from TMZ. I doubt the teenager used the phrase Miss Thing. TMZ time to come out of your own closet and admit your agenda is to never report anything positive on Clay Aiken.
Since " TMZ staff "obviously believes that Clay is gay , then TMZ is nothing more than
a closet gay basher and supports gay bashing.

Josh Willard, if you did indeed make all the comments that are being attributed to you by "TMZ staff" . All I can say is they aren't doing you any favors. There is a limited amount of online Clay haters out there. Most just have multiple screen names and addresses to jump to spam Clay hating articles. Don't count on the Clay haters to support you in American Idol. They spend their hours stalking Clay board and articles.

If the TMZ comments are truly yours. All I can say is shame on you. It was a Christmas concert and you wouldn't adhere to it.
Also, it was the Greensboro symphony STARRING Clay Aiken not Josh. Sorry don't care what Idol contest you won of the too many numerous copycat Idol shows across the country.
Grow up kid, there isn't a job in the world where you can tell the boss what to do. Whether it be the CEO of the symphony or Clay.

The audience was there for Clay. They loved him and his singing and his jokes. Bah humbug of you and "TMZ staff" not to report or admit that.

The whining diva Clay hater love to say, that Clay was disrespectful to Kelly regardless of her own attitude or behavior to him as a guest.
So, Clay hater, your same logic goes for your latest cause, Josh. It was Clay's show.
His rules. His jokes. His songs. His audience. His show.
Secondary to Clay's rules was the symphony rules.

But logic doesn't exist in the Clay hater world.

Grow up Josh. Come out of your closet "TMZ staff". Get a life online Clay hater. Quit being a bah humbug and find a celebrity you do like instead to obsess over.

47. And you, luvbny are STOOPID if you didn't get that my post was mocking you idiots bashing on Clay!

Stupid is as stupid does. However, STOOPID people are beyond the realm of plain stupidity, and have moved on to STOOPIDITY!!

Don't you get it? You idiots can call Clay every name in the book, make rude photoshops and tell lies to gossip rags, and it will only make the Claymates even more rabid about their guy! You won't win. NEVER!

So keep it up. The Claymates I know aren't going anywhere. Especially if the media smear campaigns continue.

Only the difference now is that WE ARE LAUGHING AT YOU, BECAUSE YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE ALL THIS MEDIA PLANTED CRAP ABOUT CLAY!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! STOOPID!

48. So Clay is gay, big deal, so am I. Clay is a jerk, with that desperate to say something funny and cutting he does. I think that is the real reason Ripa went off on him. He was a jerk when he came out and kept trying to "zing" her. He just looks desperate if you ask me. A color that doesn't look good on gay or straight people.

50. Who the hell cares about Clay Aiken in the first place? He isn't even a real man..more like a Madame Tussaud's wax figure come to life...

51. Clay (and who cares if he is gay or not) is a great, I mean GREAT singer. He has always gone the extra mile to make his concerts the very best they can be. I am quite sure he did not know ahead of time about some kid singing a non christmas song at his holiday concert. Sounds like miscommunication to me, plain and simple. Clay does not have a mean bone in his body. He loves children and goes out of his way to help them. He is a spokesperson for UNICEF, has been recently appointed to a special committee for developmentally disabled children by President Bush and has his own Bubel-Aiken Charity. He is a first class act and the kid making the allegations doesn't look too unhappy in his free "meet and greet" picture with Clay. I'm not going to mention the kid's name again and help him with his little publicity stunt. Anyone who knows Clay (yes, I do) would know this is all a bunch of trash. As for Kelly Ripa, she has put her hand over peoples mouth in the past to shut them up (saw the videotape). She's very arrogant and controlling. I applaud Clay for doing what it took to speak his mind on Regis's show in his absence.

52. Does anyone remember how Michael Jackson appeared to want to be Diana Ross? Well, does Clay appear to want to be Lindsay Lohan?

53. Why is this kid getting any attention at all! A Christmas concert should have Christmas related songs or at the very least winter related songs. In my opinion this kid is the A Hole and I dont think he needs to worry about showing the American Idol audience how a winner (or runner up)
stays humble, we have Carrie, Bo and CLAY to set that example.

54. No matter what you or any of you nuts say I happen to think Clay is great! Will continue to buy his music as long as he puts it out. WTG Clay

55. One more comment about CLay and Kelly Ripa. Kelly chewed ABC gum (already been chewed) on one of the shows, and she wants us to believe she was worreid about germs. Kelly is a DIVA (I dont know why she thinks she is so wonderful) and I think the hole fiasco was Kellys fault.

56. Sounds like Clay needs a visit from ACT-UP...the Gay Rights Group that attacks with a vengance those who attack their life style. Seems he's attacking everybody elses these days.

Learn some manners Mr Aiken

57. I thought Clay was a pompous a**hole since he was on American Idol. That jerk-off didn't even make it in the first rounds he was voted in in the wildcard round.

Posted at 4:18PM on Dec 28th 2006 by JT

58. Someone obviously told the kid he couldn't sing "Superstition", just like someone obviously told the others they couldn't sing Christmas songs. So let's not blame it all on one kid sulking, when others were told as well, and they were going to do songs with the Christmas theme. Someone's at fault here for telling people they were going to be singing at that show, and then yanking it away from them all.

I remember the days when Clay marched out on that Idol stage and sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and he was humble. And he and Ruben stood side by side while they announced that Ruben was the winner, and he was humble. And when he first started doing promotions after Idol ended, and he was humble.

Now he's just a closet gay who's been outed by the universe, but still thinks he's hiding something...and he's gotten WAY too big for his britches in the show biz world. Remember, Clay...the good Lord giveth, and he can sure as heck TAKE IT AWAY.

59. The entertainers sing Christmas music at a Christmas concert. HELLO

Posted at 5:11PM on Dec 28th 2006 by MEGABITE

60. What's wrong with most of you people? Who care's a flip if he's gay? If it bother's YOU so much, then maybe YOU should do some major introspection of your own sexuality! People who use vuilgar references and speech are low class uneducated boobs!
