Lets Get This Party Started
Sin City Kicks Brit's Ass

Seems like Britney's hard-partying ways may finally be catching up with her. The pop princess reportedly passed out shortly after leading a New Year's Eve countdown at Caesars Palace's Pure nightclub in Las Vegas.britney Spears

At 12:45 a.m., after swigging some champagne and dirty dancing to her own "I'm a Slave 4 U," the party mom "went into a dead faint and just fell right on the floor," reports the New York Post. Her entourage picked her up, shielded her from gawkers with an oversized, hooded poncho and quickly whisked her out of the club. We're guessing this isn't the kind of attention Caesars was expecting when they paid Spears the big bucks to show up at the bash.

Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, claims that "nothing out of the ordinary" happened to Miss Brit. "She was not drunk," he says. "She was just tired and falling asleep."

Oprah WinfreyOprah Disses Inner-City Kids

Oprah is raising some eyebrows after snubbing needy American kids and opening a $40 million school in South Africa. But the talk show queen is ticked that people aren't appreciating her generosity, and says Americans would just waste a golden opportunity to get a good education at her expense. "I became so frustrated with visiting inner-city schools [in the U.S.]," she tells Newsweek. "If you ask the kids what they want or need, they will say an iPod or some sneakers. In South Africa, they don't ask for money or toys. They ask for uniforms so they can go to school." But that didn't stop Oprah from including a yoga studio and beauty salon in the plush girls' school.

Jessica SimpsonJessica and John: Caught Red-Handed

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer were canoodling at New York's Hudson Hotel at a party thrown by Christina Aguilera on New Year's Eve. "He was scratching her back, they were kissing, it wasn't subtle," a source tells the New York Daily News. The "secret" couple then spent the night at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo. "John has been thrilled that they have been tricking the media, but she doesn't really care," the source says. John's Christmas present to Jess? A framed copy of the Us Weekly cover that says, "Dumped: John Ditches Jessica." That'll save her a little cash, which she'll need since she's not getting an expense check for her botched tribute to Dolly Parton. Jess won't be getting back the $15K she shelled out for hair, makeup and stylist fees for the fiasco.

Party Favors: William Shatner to Host Space Camp Hall of Fame ... Jackie Chan Starts Chinese Film Company ... Donald and Paris Top Year-End Polls, But Not in a Good Way

William Shatner will help Space Camp celebrate its 25th anniversary in June. The former "Star Trek" actor has agreed to emcee the camp's inaugural Hall of Fame induction banquet, which will honor 10 people who have either attended Space Camp or been major supporters ... Jackie Chan has a new film company in China, and plans to produce 10 projects. Throughout his career, Chan has continued to make Chinese-language flicks alongside such Hollywood blockbusters as "Rush Hour." The last Chinese movie he produced was "Rob-B-Hood," about kidnappers who steal a baby ... Donald Trump was voted "Most Annoying Money Personality" in an AOL poll, while Paris Hilton was named "Most Overpaid Celebrity."

31. Wow. #15, you are out of control. First of all, Oprah lives int the US, she understands we have RESOURCES, other Countries do not. That's one reason why she and others help, not only Afica, but Countries that do not have the resources to Programs, and the like, here in the U.S. They are helping them "get on their feet". Second of all, the inner city youth have ALL kinds of resources, tools, schools, librairies, museums, etc., to EDUCATE themselves and eventually grow to be a productive citizen of the U.S.

I think you missed the point. Oprah does alot for not only foreign countries, but here as well. Don't be so quick to judge her, she doesn't HAVE to do a damn thing for anyone.

32. Since you asked, Timbo supports 21 underpreviliged children through organizations such as COMPASSION. I can't wait to earn more income so I can give more support. And just think, I'm not even a celebrity.

33. The Britney Spears Foundation? Are you kidding? She's asking US for money and has pictures of her dogs wearing expensive costumes. (So tacky) She's building, what did you say? ROOMS in hospitals? Why isn't she building hospitals?

34. #13>>Ashley, THANK YOU for taking the words right out of my mouth.

Can you believe these people bashing her? What makes people think Oprah is obligated to save the damn world. These people complaining about Oprah doing something with HER money, what in the hell are you doing with yours, damn it!

It takes motivation to make it in today's world and EXCUSES ARE NOT GOING TO WORK ANYMORE WITH BLACK PEOPLE. STOP THE DAMN MADNESS.

It's amazing how people are always spouting off about "Why is Oprah reaching outside the country to help." Hey how about people not have damn kids unless they can afford them and then many SOME of our children won't be left behind. This is AMERICA PEOPLE. You can make it. Oprah's a prime example. I am by no means saying that poverty is not an issue. It most definitely is, but like #13 said, it's up to parents to make sure their children get the best start in life that they can. Don't give that this B.S. about SOME people not being able to afford it. If you can't afford a damn child, DON'T HAVE ANY. There are some women who get have children and no means to support them that is beyond their control, but there are some people who are absolutely irresponsible and can't keep out the bed without protection and then cry because their behinds got pregnant and they don't know what to do.

37. I think we should boycott celebrities. I rent movies but I won't purchase them or watch at a movie theatre. I use to, but then they turn around and ignore there own country who supported them in the first place. They were nothing until we made them important and this is how we are thanked. They should give to the community, its a moral responsibility.

38. To Oprah, there is an Old Saying that goes; Sweep in front of your house, before you in front of someone else house. It is nice for Africa, but was it for the officals. She has had shows on the Poor in America. So she knows the problem. The rich in this country, is shameful.

39. I laughed about the $15K jessica is going to be out because of the dolly thing. Big frick'n deal! Like that is going to be noticed w/ all her millions. The dolly thing was blown all out of proportion by the media. As IF, that is the worst thing that has ever happened in the world. Jessica rocks~~~~~

40. That is good for those girls, but there are poorer girls in this Country. How can a person have shows about the poor. Go overseas and take care of them. Money in this Country is in the wrong hands.

I agree with you!
Hey Oprah, you contribute to this sorry state of affairs. You are just like all the WHITE celebrities who want everyone to know how "good" and "wonderful" you are by your deeds. You want to help those of us less fortunate than you, give and KEEP YOUR FAT TRAP SHUT ABOUT IT! Save the lectures until after the next commerical break, you fat cow! Do like I do, give and not make a big deal about it!

42. I support 21 underprivileged children through the organization COMPASSION. Is that pathetic?

43. 1. Read the newsweek article before you criticize. TMZ never gives you all the facts.
2. Oprah has given millions to poor americans. Her Angel Network built a whole neighborhood of homes for people who had nothing. Oprah has given scholarships to poor americans for years. She gave those cars to people who needed them
3. Why are we so quick to criticize someone who does something for such a magnificent reason. She should be applauded.
4. we live in a country that is paying millions of dollars to a private comapny to rebuild a foreign country we destroyed, for no real reason. This includes malls, grocery stores, schools and homes. Why aren't we mad about this?

44. #36 - You're an excellent human being and I agree with you completely.

45. The Oprah Winfrey 's and Bill Cosby's of the world need a reality check. There are many Black (any other races as well) that could and would appreciate the opportunity to have their schools upgraded, new school uniforms, new books and access to computers in their schools (many inner city schools have few to none) if the someone (like her) donated these items. Yes you would have the few "knuckleheads" that would take it for granted but MOST kids would truly appreciate the gift. And as a result some of the kids minds would open up more to the possiblity of learning because of computer access, etc. that they would go further in life because of the donation (college and beyond). I'm sure African kids appreciate the gift as well, but charity really does begin at home. Perhaps Oprah's additional motive may have been to grab a few INTERNATIONAL HEADLINES instead of just NATIONAL. Anyhow, I hope her next gift will be LOCAL.

What would have happened if someone hadn't given her that scholarship that afforded her way through college, as she has spoken of. The world would not have heard of an OPRAH WINFREY, EITHER.
