Barbara Retracts; Sides With Rosie Over Trump

31. Watched the show, and Barbara didn't take either side, she did read statement issused by ABC, saying Donald Trump didn't file personal bankruptcy, but tell what is the difference when there is a CEO and Board of Directors that decide to file bankruptcy people are being affected on the other end, their is layoffs of workers, (their families are effected), people and companies that are directly involved in given his companies products, services or items that monies are not rendered are effected...Donald Trump personally was saved and didn't loose his shirt because he had "family monies" to fall back on! He makes me want to scream, the only thing that he is good at, his he is a "snake in wool's clothing", he is a master at Marketing and Marketability, but he is not a great business man or finanical man at all! He looses and throughs money and riches away contestily, when he could give to Chaities are even back to communities...Rosie O'Donnell, Martha Stewart, Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey or all "Self Made", and struggled to get were they are at, and he threw all but Oprah under the Bridge to try to make himself look better, in the end he looks like a iidiot, not for being upset for what Rosie said, but in the way that he handle the matter, calling and being on all the major News Channels and bringing Barbara Walters and Danny DiVito into the arguement was absolutely uncalled for and he is actting like the spoilt rotten Narcistics jerk that he really is! Rosie was a bit harsh in your comments, but in the same breath she gave her "VIEW", she didn't necessary say anything that was not true, most of us midwestern middle class people, believe that if a Corporation is filing bankruptcy their is people behind that Corporation that makes these poor decisions and should loose as much as the people that are loosing because they choose for their Organizations to go bankrupt, if he had not gone bankrupt in is Organizaitons, he would not have got to keep his personal wealth and riches, and because of having 'family money' he didn't have to worry to bad or be on the street! We'll see the next time one of his endeavors goes bads if it will be as easy for him to file bankruptcy since they changed the laws toward bankruptcy...I am not mad that he had to file bankruptcy or his organizations, but he should be big enough of a man to admit that he had to get out of so much debt wether it be corporate or personal, and not try to belittle some comment that was said about him! I don't agree with him allowing Miss USA to keep her crown, and others in the organization loose theirs...The only reason he is allowing Miss USA to stay on is because it is so close to another year and his ratings our slipping and it is way to keep the Media and the Public interested, not because he cares about the welfare of this young lady, (don't fool yourself), he probabally hasn't been around Miss USA three times since she took the Crown. . . If it was me or you at on our jobs we would have been let go immediatly...The young lady knew from being a State Contestant before she even ran for the Miss USA crown that she had to be a Representative for young ladies and to show a high moral conduct, she choice to do what she did and she should have lost her crown for her actions, period! Their has been four women from the State of Oklahoma, and the current Miss America reins from Oklahoma, and not one of these fine women ever did anything remotely scandaleous or immature to have their names and their organization slung threw the mud! They all four are very well respected people of Oklahoma they make their families proud, their communities and charitibile services is amazing throughout the state and they have made their State proud in the works and the way they Represent theirselves, families and communities...Three of the girls are from very small towns in Oklahoma, and they never actted anyway expect professional and proper in every manner of their lives! The way Donald Trump carries himself in the way that he trashed Rosie O'Donnell's weight, comments, body and character shows that he is an exteremly immature and childish man! I hope and pray that Barbara Walters doesn't call him a personal friend any longer! I would be so angry if I was her, yes at Rosie a little bit for going over board with the comments, but you have to admit the comments she said were funny, true and in some areas he has had him coming, but he could have called into "The View" or went on Regis and Kelly, and spoke his peace, but to go on FOX NEWS, CNN, MSNBC, Good Morning America and Los Angelas local television, and to speak in such a immature and gutter manner shows that he doesn't care about high standards, morals or even turning the other check! Rosie went overboard in her assesments and comments but she did lie...Rosie O'Odonnell left her show at the height of it's success to concentrate on being a new mother and taking a break from the fishbowl of "FAME", Carolyn Raye took over her show and the ratings went down, she deserves to have put a stop to a magazine that carries her name and she is the major reason that it is a success...Yes I am sure she is exteremly high spirited and probabally demanding but she is compassionate towards most and especially the under priviliged, young and old! Donald Trump in his own ommission doen't even take hands on care of his young children, so we are talking about to very high spirited head strong individauls that obiviously do not have feelings for one another that are both outspoken that are clashing! Barbara should not have been brought into a bad situation by Donald Trump, saying that "Barbara cannot stand Rosie and wishes she wasn't on her show", that makes it hard for Barbara and Rosie to sit across from each other everyday, and he sold his so called "personal friend" out, by throwing, even if they were true comments made to him in a private conversation, under the bus to make him look better! And he made it out that Rosie leaked information about Danny DiVito being drunk on the show to the News Media, she did not do such a thing and her and Danny or good personal friends, she was totally on Danny's side all along! He brought two innocent people into his immature tirade, because he knows what Rosie said is the truth and he is just trying to be a "BULLY"...Leave people out of TRUMP, it is between you and Rosie, come up with something other than she is "Fat", "Ugly", "Crazy", she admitts to all those things on her own, you aren't saying anything there that she personally hasn't said about herself...Her show was successful when she left, noone that we know blames her for shutting down a Magazine that carries her own Name, you know darn good in well that you would have done the same thing, your EGO would not allow anyone to tell you how to run anything! Keep more important News on Larry King or FOX NEWS like Charity Events to help Katrina Victims, or helping underprivlege Kids, not a immature arguement over words that were stated about you, be a bigger man than that! Your just trying to get Ratings for your programs coming up, hope noone watches them for the way you did Barbara and Danny!

I feel sorry for Babs, and despite the drivel you see on the news, the View is getting turned off left and right.

Rosie is a foulmouth beast, and Trump is a self proclaimed ruthless money grabber, and anyone who STILL on this topic needs more than a life , as #13 Ellen says.

38. Majority of kids in Oklahoma are out until January 8, 2006, they did'nt get out until the Thursday before Christmas, so they are out until the 8th! Rosie will be back until her contract is up in May...Then she should tell The View she is not interested all this unnecessary hazzle and go and start her own show, they want her to have opinions it is "The View" but in reality they don't want her to say her true opinions, they want her to stifle a bigger than most personality that she can't are she wouldn't be herself! Rosie did over state somethings, and was a bit cruel about it, but it was funny, great TV and has all of us talking! Donald got his "EGO" stepped on and he brought innocent people as iin Barbara and Danny DiVito into the arguement along with ABC and "THE VIEW" Program...Rosie will be back until her contract is up, and I guarantee you if the Ratings are has high in May as they have been all Season, Barbara, the Network and all involved will be begging Rosie to stay and offering her the world...It will be Rosie O'Donnell decision on whether she stays are not! I don't look for her to stay another year, why would she need the hassle when she could go start her own show and it would be a hit, she wants to sell crafts on QVC, she wants to do StandUp and I doubt that unless she just doesn't want to bother with all that goes with having her own show, that she will stay! Rosie and her personality are what make "THE VIEW" entertaining to watch, she brings an amazing amount of warmth, character and personality that these other women cannot! Barbara more than likely at sometime said something in a negative way about Rosie, it would be hard not to if you were the Boss because controlling Rosie's opinions and outburst is a job all of it's own! Barbara and Donald Trump come from a different generation, background, lifestyle and family then Rosie...Rosie speaks from the heart but she just doesn't slow down enough to think about what she is saying...Barbara iis a true professional and business women, along with having a background in journalism, she has been trained for over thrity something years to learn to listen, think or watch what you say when the Camara's are rolling, Rosie is the type of person that she is real and what you see is what you get! Donald Trump is all about himself, his EGO and bullying people around to get his way, he is a rich spoilt brat that is not used to getting is way at a very young age! ! ! Different personalities that in some ways all three are guility and all three mades some mistakes...Donald needed to keep his private conversations he had with Barbara away from the office to himself, Rosie even though she was truthful and it was funny got alittle carried away in the moment and said some unnecessary hurtful things, and I am sure that Barbara has learned that Donald Trump is one of them "Fair Weather" Friends, your his friend as long as he can better himself or your his friend as long as things are going his way, their is noway on earth that I would call Donald Trump a friend of mine after he put me in the middle of this immature arguement and hurt my show, business relationship with someone to make it uncomfortable for all involved in "The View"...Donald knows his shows and ratings are down so he doesn't want anyone to succeed! He didn't want Martha Stewart to out do him on her "Apprentice" Show, but I am so glad her show is doing good! He couldn't stand Carloyn being as popular as him on his own show or George for that matter, and obiviously their has been bad blood between Rosie and "The DONALD" for along time! He needs to grow up and shut up and leave others than Rosie out of this ridiculous mud slinging!

39. #14 Truth Matters - Exactly. I thought the same thing myself when I watched the show today. I only watched to find out what she would have to say.
I read on one of these boards here at TMZ that it was a well-known fact that was being "kept top secret" out of respect that BW is a lesbian. Maybe Rosie knows this and has intimidated BW. Did you notice how BW talked about being nude in the hottub with Judge Judy on her vacation and remarking about Judge Judy's "cute little body?"

41. I cannot stand Rosie and BW. BW should have fired Rosie the day the PERVERT TALKED ABOUT PUBIC HAIR and BATHING WITH HER DAUGHTER right on national T.V. Oh, but BW told how she herself bathed with her adopted daughter, Jackie. So go figure. I guess my mother raised me wrong because she never bathed with me or my sister. I have never known any of my friends to bathe with their children. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE JOUNALISM BW IN VIEW of the pedophiles in this country. I wonder what Nancy Grace, Mark Klass, Dr. Phil, Dr. Laura, etc. would think about this! Why don't you invite them on your show to find out. I am sure your ratings would go through the roof.

If some of you actually watched the show instead of relying on hear say, you would know that rosie announced before the xmas break that she would not be back until the week after the others because her contract stipulates that she gets the kids holidays off. bw tastefully put dt in his place today. i hope it's over. enough is enough already, but i wouldn't be surprised if dt uses the bw announcement to create more buzz for his upcoming premiere. i won't be watching.

43. One of Donald Trump's companies filed for bankruptcy protection, not Donald Trump himself. Trump's casino in Atlantic City was what Rosie was talking about. It wasn't performing as well like it did in the excess driven '80s. Rosie needs to get her facts straight and stop thinking that Donald is out on his luck. Donald is worth billions, a smart businessman and he knows when his companies succeed or fail. I hope that this Rosie-Donald feud ends soon. It's cooled down a bit, but some tempers are still flaring.

44. For the record:

Trump did NOT file for personal bankruptcy as Rosie stated. He filed chapter 11 ....this is COMPLETELY different from "going bankrupt". Filing chapter 7 means that (in short), you / your business went bust and there is a liquidation of all assets. Trump filed 11 allowing him to restructure his debt without default. Therefore, he did NOT file for bankruptcy. Rosie's statements were "false" and unless a "retraction" was made, they are opening themselves up to defamation lawsuits.

Personal opinion, Rosie needs to practice before she preaches.

45. All Barbara did was give Rosie permission to pick on anyone else that doesn't bow to her when she passes by them. Barbara has really lost control of this show, and this just proves it. By the end of the year Barbara will be out and Rosie "her let's welcome her with open arms friend" will be at the throne. Then again maybe Barbara isn't as dumb as we think she is. Fear is an ugly word.
