Tyrese Allegedly Punches Pregnant Girlfriend

Tyrese TMZ has learned that police are conducting a criminal investigation into allegations that R & B singer Tyrese punched his pregnant girlfriend in the arm and thigh early this morning.

Police sources tell us that Tyrese's live-in girlfriend claimed that the two got into a heated argument around 5:30 AM at their Los Angeles home. According to our sources, paramedics responded after Tyrese allegedly struck the woman, who is three months pregnant, twice and then drove away from the scene.

He seems to be bailing from his professional responsibilities too. According to a source, Tyrese was scheduled to call in to Sacramento's KSFM 102.5 morning show today to chat about the upcoming "Transformers" movie, but never did. Tyrese's people called the station right before his slotted interview time and told the DJs he was "M.I.A." Yeah, we guess so!

Reps for Tyrese had no comment.

31. I don't think that Tyrese career has prospered as much as it should. We all know that when celebrities are at their worse, the media tends to dig up something to elaborate on in a negative way. I don't think that Tyrese would do something like this. But if he did, looks and t.v. can be decieving. He's always appeared to me as a sweetheart and soft man through in music and roles. After he started bragging about boning Maia Campbell, I started questioning his credibility. Come on ya'll let's not give up Tyrese. We didn't give up on Bobby & Whitney!!!!!!!!!!!!

34. When are people going to realize that these so-called rap gangsters are soft. Every rapper new and old spit there diahrrea talking how tough they are and how many people they kill daily. They are a bunch of whimps at the end of the day. C'mon, Ludacriss, Kanye, Lil' Jon, Nas, etc are tiny little dicked men. Would you be scared of them if confronted? I don't think so, being 5'5 140 lbs doesn't make you tough no matter how much crap you talk. Let's see these guys roll through a real hood and act tough in front of real gansters. Plus most of these stiffs grew up middle-class and educated. They are not from the HOOD or anywhere near it. You are not tough and do not scare anyone. Tyrese probably got stepped to at a club that night and tucked his tail between his legs and went home and took out his toughness on a little girl. Your a p***y Tyrese and so are all of you wimpy friends in the rap world who need 20 body guards at all times, Busta, your a p***y too!

37. What a poor excuse for a male. No one has the right to hit a female, regardless of any circumstances. He is such a douche bag and I hope he gets what he deserves. Also, what kind of a man would run away from the police? Then again...what kind of a "man" would hit a woman, and a pregnant woman. What an IDIOT! Well how about all of the press coverage he gives on the plight of Darfur, ok that was Bono and other artists. Hmmm, so I guess all of his pro-black talk and respecting women has been his most convincing acting to date. Note is self, it is only the mercy of God that has gotten you this far. Clearly your lack of gratitude will begin a chain of events that will have you singing "Roxanne" in jail like Eddie Murphy in 48hrs!!
