It's War!!!

A full-out battle between Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Walters has broken out at "The View" over the Donald and his Rosie-bashing.

Rosie lashed out at boss Babwa yesterday morning in a pre-show dressing-room bitch-off, calling her "a [bleeping] liar," according to Page Six, and was furious with Walters for not sticking up for her during the Rosie-Trump feud of the last two weeks.

When Walters saw Rosie yesterday morning, a couple of hours before "The View" aired, she tried to hug Ro – but Rosie, who'd been on vacation over the holidays, wouldn't touch her. And, according to the Post, she fumed, "You didn't call me for 10 g**damn days ... You never called [Donald] a liar."

Then, on yesterday's show, Babwa proceeded to brand Trump as such, which prompted the Donald to tell 'EXTRA,' "Barbara lied, as she knows very well." Rosie and Walters' rep says it was "hardly a squabble" and that everyone has "moved on."

Brit's Pre-PURE Sake Spree

Britney Spears got in the mood to, well, pass out early on New Year's Eve with a good ol' Japanese oiling up beforehand, despite what her reps say caused her premature departure. We have sources who saw the drink-by-drink as Brit put away "lots of sake" before she made it to Las Vegas' PURE nightclub for a reported $400,000 party-hosting gig.

Yesterday, reports swirled that Britney might be losing her six-figure appearance fee for ditching PURE early, and that her exit may have been caused, in part, by the catcalls of other PURE patrons, but a club rep told us they were overjoyed, saying, "The crowd LOVED Britney and they cheered her on everywhere she went... She is always welcome at PURE." No word yet on whether all the sake-slurping before her paid gig would affect her contract.

It could've been such a delicious catfight, but Angelina Jolie moved quickly yesterday to quell any speculation that she'd taken the Material Mama to task for her adoption of a Malawian baby.

Angie was quoted in a French magazine as saying, with reference to Madonna's controversial adoption, "Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal." Yesterday, however, as People reports, Angelina said that the article "included many falsehoods" and omitted positive comments. Added Jolie in her statement, "All that should count is the happiness of her little David." And so the claws recede.

Rehabbing Miss USA Tara Conner's famously supercharged hormones were very much on display at a cover photo shoot for New York Dog magazine, says Page Six. Before the to-do over her randy behavior, Conner was "ridiculously flirtatious" with male photo assistants at the session. Alas, Conner won't make the cover because she couldn't do the interview ... Sacha Baron Cohen tells the Los Angeles Times that, by his count, Borat had the cops called on him 37 times during the filming of "Borat," and that he never washed that gray suit once or wore deodorant for, you know, authenticity's sake ... James Cameron's long-awaited "Avatar" is finally coming to theaters – in 2009. The $190 million sci-fi epic will "blow you to the back wall of the theater," promises Cameron. ... Van Halen might have to reunite after all – at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The rockers made the cut this year, along with REM, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, the Ronettes, and Patti Smith.

Was Rosie in Manhatten yesterday? Everyone was complaining of a bad odor that covered the entire city. I thought she may have been airing out some undergarments on the balcony of her hotel room.

I have a home office with a small tv in it. I use to enjoy watching (listening to) the View as I worked. Lately, after a few minutes, I realize something is making me very nervous, and I then realize everyone on the View is talking at the same time, one louder than the other. Sounds like a brawl. What a mess!! Take a listen sometimes from another room. Sounds like a room full of kids screaming and fighting with each other. ENTERTAINING?????? NOT!!!!!!!! So, I switch to HGTV. Seems like Rosie has brought out the BEAST in everyone.

I tuned into the view once in a while. Now I just can't stand the show since Rosie has basically taken over. I feel sorry for anyone else on the show except for Barbara who had the stupidity to hire O'Donnell in the first place. The show is certainly on the way out of my house and hopefully the homes of the remaining viewing audience

Trump is so last year. He needs to stick to what he knows best (real estate) and get get out of the TV business. I will not watch his apprentice "survivor" show because it has been dumbed down just like his hair. As for Rosie, she knows what she is doing. Go Rosie, Go Rosie all the way up the ratings ladder.

I enjoyed watching The View, but now I cannot even turn it on. Seeing Rosie O'Donnell everyday really makes me sick and I cannot believe that such a classy lady as Barbara Walters is letting this all happen. The View's ratings might be up, but I am one viewer that they have lost.

I wrote a note to Barbara Walters yesterday discussing the fact that Rosie has gone overboard. Between her and Joy running their mouths on a non-stop unprofessional basis..Elizabeth and Barbara can not get a word in. Barbara, Rosie has been great in some areas like (giveaways). However, she was supposed to take Merideth's place. Merideth was always professional and was able to control rant's when they got out of hand. Rosie thinks so highly of her own opinions that she does not offer a fair and balanced view. I'm sick of turning on the view and listening to Joy bitching about President Bush. Frankly, she is not worthy. I agree that President Bush has done some things that were not in the best interest of the US; however, Joy remember..you are on national television. Joy is not objective, and as a person who is reporting information on television, one has an obligation to be objective.

The view is no longer in Barbara's control. Rosie is running it like she is in control. Personally, I like Rosie sometimes but there are so many people who cannot stand her and think that she needs to "shut her mouth". Joy needs to shut up too. If she cant keep her mouth closed, then she needs to go back into comedy rants; however, her constant bitching and yapping are getting on my nerves. I agree that Barbara is probably ashamed. I studied Psychology and I see that Barbara puts her head down alot when Rosie is talking. It is my feeling that Barbara feels she is in a corner with no where to go and just trying to do the best she can. This show is no longer worthy of Barbara Walters and the credentials she brings to the table because she is surrounded by people who do not meet her caliber. Rosie needs to go!

Except for making fun of Donald's hair, Rosie has not attacked him for his physical shortcomings -- that's more than we can say about Donald. If one has a disagreement, argue the issue and not whether you want to bed someone or falsely exhibiting sympathies for the indidual's lover/spouse. As for Rosie's sexual preference, I may not share her view, but ... live and let live. None of us has been appointed as a stand-in for God.

anyone who believes this crap on this site as "gospel" really is pathetic.....there may be a grain of truth then its trumped up and blown out of context...i happen to know someone who works in new york at abc and barbra walters and rosie DID NOT have any such spat........anything that was said was in JEST! but leave it to a sleazy site to turn it around....and even worse people actually believe it as the whole truth...WAKE UP PEOPLE

Enough don't people have more important issues than the rants of people who live for havin their name in the papers. They will find any issue to complain about
& since Meredith left the View I no longer watch it. She was the whole show with some help from Joy,but with that loudmouth on,excuse me ,this is an insult to all viewers

Rosie thinks she not just sticking up for herself but she is sticking up for women in general, that is why she is disappointed in Barbara because she feels Barbara let her down. The underling message that brought about all this ruckus was "do woman need anyone to stick up for them" ? My reply to that is we don't all use the same approach, so to say some of us would rather fore go the elbow in the mouth to a softer gentler touch.
