Suzanne: At Least I Don't Have a Kid in Iraq

In the wake of a devastating fire that destroyed her Malibu home, Suzanne Somers maintains a positive attitude.

In a statement to TMZ issued by her rep, Suzanne says, "My nature is to look at the glass half full. I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience."

Suzanne and her husband were not in Malibu during the blaze.

275. To Suzanne Sommers and family.
Sorry for your lost. I'd like to suggest something that could save your life.
The next time theres a forrest fire in your area, you could be asleep. Please follow my lead. install a... Sea water Fire wall
Fire fighting system
On January eighth of 2007, another devastating fire struck a residential area
in Malibu California. I was amazed at how such a thing could be allowed with
their money and resources. So I sent out several e-mails to the city of Malibu,
making the following suggestion. I suggested the creation of a Sea Water Fire
wall fire fighting system. Being an old sailor, this idea was improptu
considering how close they are to the ocean.
They should install a sea water fire fighting system in trouble areas to save
lives and property. Certainly questions would arise about maintenance and corrosive sea water. To answer what your thinking. You use a recirculation system and bubble head screens on the inlet and the outlet. You program the system to conduct a self maintenance flush, reversing the direction of the system flush, every 48 hours. Your fire fighting sea wall system will keep itself clean until needed. At a given temperature it will insure the safety
of your sleeping residence by sounding an alarm and shooting a wall of water up into the trees. Install the system where desired to create your barrier strategically and protect property. Fear of chlorine gas from seawater? "Your not in a submarine. “ The gas if formed
will be the least of your problems in a Forrest fire. It will burn off while
suppressing the oxygen that feeds the fire.
I've designed this system specifically for your situation. Please install
it to protect your future home.
Sincerely yours. Clay

276. Believe me, I stumbled across this site by accident but have enjoyed reading how stupid people really are. First, who cares about Iraq or Suzanne Somers? BORING. It really is getting tiresome. And, do any of you, pro or con on this, have a dictionary????

277. If I was a mother, who lost a son or daughter in Iraq, I would never be able to replace that loss or repair the damage to my heart and soul.

But if I was a homeowner, who lost a house in Malibu, then I would simply replace the lost house.

That is all Ms. Sommers was saying - losing a house in Malibu is nothing compared to life changeing losses many mothers here in the US are experiencing EVERYDAY, thru the loss of their children being sent to the frontlines of war.
