My neighbor did one tour in iraq and one tour in afghanistan and he said he took more fire in the first week than he did in a year in iraq.

At least the american people know about the soldiers in iraq.

But the 20,000 soldiers in afghanistan are forgotten and they face more assassins in afghanistan.

Troops in afghanistan are always facing car bombers and suicide bombers packed with nails and bolts.

78. She is saying her loss is no where near what people are going through with their loved ones at war. She says she can rebuild. Some one killed in Iraq cannot be rebuilt. Alot of these folks are tree huggers, however their houses were constructed almost intirely from wood, not good in a risky area. Try stucco and tile.

82. Suzanne Somers is an idiot as demonstrated by that comment. Let me tell you all what it means to be "IN IRAQ." Being "IN IRAQ" is not synonymous with dying by accident in a fire. Being "IN IRAQ" is synonymous with being a brave human being that believes the liberation of 25 million people is a good thing for this country and the world. And that these 25 million people living in a democracy are much less likely to produce a society that creates and harbors terrorists and terrosism. Remember 9/11!!!

I agree with the Dem's....we need to pull out of Iraq (sparing the tragic experience of having a child serving there....voluntarily....being a real American and all that)......and launch a full-on, take-no-prisoners, F*@%-the-collateral damage, assualt on Hollywood, L.A., and Manhattan. 85. Her son "Bruce Somers" is 42 and was in a horrible car crash in 1971 from which he is still feeling the affects. So he would not be eligible for war. Why do you people insist everyone is out to get you? I have family in Iraq but I'm not dumb enough to think war is great, yeah war!

If you REALLY have loved ones in Iraq you should talk to them more often. You might learn something.

87. To the libs saying Suzanne meant her house burning down isn't as bad as losing a child in Iraq, you're wrong. Look at the quote. She doesn't say her house burning down isn't as bad as LOSING a kid in Iraq, she says it isn't as bad as having a child IN Iraq. Big difference. She's saying a child SERVING in Iraq is worse than her Malibu mansion burning to the ground.

We support our troops. Libs just say they do after ripping them to shreds to avoid confrontation. It's passive-aggressive. "I think it's great that you threw away your life to fight an illegal war just so Shrub could avenge his daddy and get free Iraqi oil - I SUPPORT you!"

90. Suzanne Somers didn't mean to be disparaging in any way. She has done many USO tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and she was awarded the Patriotic Civilian Service award for her support of the troops.
