17. Donald Trump is not lying about Barbara Walters, he knows she would be able to sue him if he indeed is lying. Then again maybe he doesn't care whether he's sued or not. Rosie started this bull, and I don't care whether or not The Don calls her names from here to eternity... Just my opinion. I have come to stronlgy dislike Rosie O, and her pushing her values down everyone's throats. If someone doesn't agree with her program she bad mouths them, she has a right to her opinion and a right to express them but when she takes personal attacks on someone, then she should expect that they have the option to personally attack her. I do agree that this is a bit petty and childish, and that The Don is possibly using this for publicity, but like another poster stated, this is DONALD TRUMP, he is being who he is... Rosie brought all of this on herself, and to basically bite the hand that's feeding her (Barbara Walters) is a huge mistake.

18. I too am loving this. There is no way that Rosie is going to win this, nor does she deserve to. Donald Trump is smart, shrewd and aggressive, and he will triumph. Love him or hate him, he demonstrates more class with his fact-based counter-attacks on her and he has plenty of ammunition about Rosie without having to resort only to mocking one's appearance (which is all Rosie seems capable of doing, which is quite funny considering her unfortunate appearance). Playing devil's advocate, the hair cancels out the obesity, and so then who is left with more credibility? Clearly the Donald. He is entitled to make whatever business judgments he deems best for the Miss America enterprise, and given the conviction he shows on The Apprentice, no one should be surprised that he did what he himself thought was right, i.e. give Tara a second chance. Trump is a good judge of character, in my view. Rosie is nothing but a loudmouth, flailing to keep herself commercially viable. I root for Trump!

19. Yes, that reader was absolutely correct. Barbara Walters is a woman of dignity and respectability and she should not lower herself to the likes of a Rosie O'Donnell. I have seen Rosie in public at the theater and she has a nasty quality that says "stay away or else". She is very mean spirited and it has now become obvious that her persona on her own talk show was an act -- a very convincing one -- but she is the real "Queen of Mean". Barbara should can her and restore some quality to her show.

20. Donald is a blowhard and Rosie is a bigmouth. We expect this behavior from Rosie based on past performances, but I really thought Donald would just say he's above all this nonsense. After listening to both of them I think Rosie picked on the wrong person. Donald is not going to let her get away with "running her mouth." Barbara Walters has allowed Rosie to drag her down and I really think Barbara's credibility is going to suffer as a result. Babs needs to find two new friends!

21. Rosie is really the "Queen of Mean". She is mean spirited and not very bright. Her persona on her own show was an act. I have seen her in public at the theater and she definitely exudes a "stay away from me, or else" attitude. She does not deserve to be sitting at the same table as Barbara Walters who, while commercial, has had a very respected and dignified career as a journalist. Her "The View" is now sinking to the depraved levels of "Jerry Springer" tabloid television. You can tell from watching that Rosie just can't wait for the hour to get out of there and go home.

24. Rosie gave her VIEW because her show is called THE VIEW.
Trump protests way too much. Rosie was dead on about Donald playing moral compass. That was hilariously ironic, considering his past. Period. People forget that she is a comedian, and even I caught that before she stated the obvious.
Trump needs to let it go. He's made himself look far, far worse than Rosie's initial comment did. I thought he was a stable person. He needs to act like one. Very scary.

25. #3 and #8 - for someone whose native language is not English, it takes courage for someone to come out on national TV in support of another. So what if her English isn't perfect? It's pretty damned good. I've studied several foreign languages including Russian... I'd like to see you converse in a foreign language using an advanced-basic vocabulary, something beyond travel guide phrases. Melania does not deserve to be mocked by you two people who apparently have no idea how difficult it is to do what she did.

27. I think Donald is telling the truth. However, I think he did this so Rosie would respond negatively, and create further discord on the View. I think Barbra's behaviour is her MO. She did this with Star, now she is back stabbing Rosie. Some times Barbra, you have to take a stand, and playing both sides of the fence is cowardice. You made a choice with Rosie over Star, let's see if you can stick with it. Or are you going to do to Rosie what you did with Star. Time will tell. I think Rosie's comments were played strickly for entertainment. That is the type of show she is on. David Letterman said it perfectly on his show when Donald called her a degenerate. David said (loosely) that he doesn't think Rosie believe alot of what she says and that she is a professional.. She is a comedian first and for most. Doesn't this sound alot like her way of getting laughs.

29. People, Rosie is on a show called The View!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her job is to give her VIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is what she gets paid to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was doing her job!!!! So what if Barbra said what Trump is claiming; Trump had no right to tell the world what he is claiming she said, it's as if he is trying to take both Rosie and Barbra down at the same time because Rosie made a comment about his damn hair and Barbra didn't defend him.
