Posh & Becks to Become American Idols

As TMZ first reported in July, soccer stud David Beckham and his boney-licious wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, are moving to America and setting up digs in Los Angeles.

Beckham is leaving Spanish soccer team Real Madrid at the end of the season to join the Los Angeles Galaxy, a Major League Soccer team. Who knew we had pro soccer teams? The five-year deal could be worth a reported $200 million.

David is no stranger to Southern California, having already set up a local branch of his youth soccer camp, The David Beckham Academy. As for Posh, she can look forward to more shopping excursions with new BFF Katie Holmes.

While they're huge stars in Europe, Posh & Becks have not been able to mimic their media domination on our shores. Could this be an attempt by the supercouple to obtain that same level of fame stateside? We'll see!

46. Ugh. I hate them. They are so annoying. They love the attention. I just dont get why people think they are so hot. I know a lot better looking men, including my husband, and she isnt much to look at in the first place, other than to make fun of her outrageous and ridiclulous clothes.

47. $250 million!! You have to be crazy. No one is worth that kind of money for playing sports or even promoting the game. Who ever owns the LA Galaxy is really in LaLa Land.

48. I predict there will be some interest in seeing him play for about 2 mos. and then nobody will care. This overall won't increase American interest in soccer.

I think all ya'll americans are scared that this couple is going to come take over ouru land... well they will and its going to be awesome b/c they are the hottest couple EVER!! he's the s&!^ in soccer and the best look'n man on the face of the earth and she's more beautiful than any creation ever created! They have gorgeous kids and gorgeous life and more money than they know what to do with. Thats exactly what ya'll want so you can pry into their precious little lives. I just think ya'll don't like it b/c they are more powerful and beautiful than "Brangelina" is now and more than "Bennifer" was before... or more perfect than any other couple in American history. Deal with it people! This is awesome. The largest contract is sports history and its in a sport we don't even care about! EXCEPT IT!! You'll be eating out of the palms of their hands in no time!!

59. She is not ugly, just cause she's skinny thats stupid and wrong. Telling someone they should eat more is a very american thing to say being that this is the land of gluttony and pure unhealthy fatness. They are both gorgeous and so what. Any good Italian will tell you soccer is awesome and its unfortunate it hasn't become bigger here in the states. Hopefully Beckhams presence will bolster some excitement for the game and give it the attention it needs and that is what the move should be and really is about.

60. Well the so called 'Hot British' couple can head to the States, the UK is better off with out them. Beckham is now past his prime, and Victoria is I'm afraid a legend in her own mind. The one thing is that I'm a Brit living Stateside myself, and I thought I got rid of them when I moved here sigh ...........................
