Bend It Like Bindi

David Beckham isn't the only foreign star taking over the States. America's favorite crocodile hunter in-training, eight-year-old Bindi Irwin (with mom Terri and brother Bob in tow) brought her brand of adorable animal husbandry to "Larry King Live" on Thursday.

Bindi's whirlwind tour has already seen her grace the couches of Jay Leno and Ellen DeGeneres, with a stop on David Letterman's to follow next week. This little gal gets around!

On Sunday, Bindi will make her U.S. stage debut in a concert at L.A.'s Ahmanson Theatre, along with her backup dancers, The Crocmen, and children's music supergroup The Wiggles. With Britney Spears' career having gone down under, it looks like we may have found a new Pop Princess!

16. As I understand it, Bindi has been doing a version of this show at their zoo for quite some time. These concerts in the US are part of the annual G'Day USA: Australia Week 2007 festivities being staged in Los Angeles and New York to promote Australia to Americans. For example, The Wiggles are also performing. It’s an event her father was very involved in and supportive of. I recall reading some time ago that these appearances were all planned before Steve’s death and that Steve was supposed to be the one here now with Bindi. But of course now Terri is stepping into that role. It’s only been 4 months. I can’t imagine anyone would have blamed her if she’d chosen to back out. I admire her courage – this certainly can’t be easy for her.

“Hippo”, Terri mentioned on Larry King last night that Bindi also has a little exercise video for kids that’s out in Australia. That may be where the clip you saw came from.

Terri also said that Bindi has been home schooled for years by a professional, accredited teacher who travels with them. It seemed pretty clear that the teacher, who was with Terri and the kids in Tazmania when Steve was killed, has become like another member of the extended family. Terri and Bindi were obviously very fond of her.

17. Bindi is a beautiful and talented child. She has confidence and intelligence well beyond her years. People have to remember Steve and Terri lived this way long before the cameras were around. Even if Bindi wasn't on on tv she would be still performing with the same enthausiasm at the crocoseum.

18. Oh, come on people. Have none heard the saying 'untl you walk a mile in thier shoes' Let them be- they have plenty of money to spare and Terri says Bindi has always loved to sing and dance! Leave this little girl alone to cope the best way she can- by doing the things she loves and continuing her fathers work. I think it is great they are trying to be happy and positive and that has to be hard for them, but being depressed and defeated would be worse.

19. Teri makes me sick. Where was she and Bindi when Steve Irwin was alive? She is just looking to profit from his death. I'm sick of seeing her dyke looking ass all over tv crying and that kid is told what to say for the camera. It's all a show.

22. Dear DEBORAH #3:
It's good to know that I am the highlight of your miserable existance!
Thank you for the "negative attention"
I thrive on it and love it.
Now that I KNOW I am inside that empty head of yours I will do my best to fill it with love!
Tie me kangroo down, mate!
Thanks for reading!

23. First of all, I am sorry for the family's loss and I have to wonder how they are really dealing with it, they don't seem to slow down and are constantly in the limelight.
Secondly, throughout this whole ordeal and with Bindi's rising star, it saddens me to see all the credit go to her and what a wise and strong child she is and neighther she nor her mom nor anyone else ever think to give credit to God, from where her strength is coming, whether she knows it or not.
People are idolizing this child, I have no problem with them being famous or in the media, no, I'm not jealous either. I just think too much is being made of this girl at a very tender time in her life and there will be serious repercussions for her down the road.
They need to slow down, be in counseling and focus first on dealing with her dad's loss.

24. I don't think the thing I saw was Bindi's exercise video. I think I saw a clip of her show. There were back-up dancers, men in yellow shirts, and it was all choreographed. I don't know why anybody would want to see that. Particularly when she's performing at the Ahmanson Theater, it must be pretty expensive. I can't imagine why anybody would pay Broadway prices to watch a little girl do mediocre dance routines.

25. #10. It's about the money.. Not for conservation, but for continuing a personal life style. Did anyone else see the video of Steve using "Baby Bob" to entice the croc? The baby looked like a chicken being pranced across the stage. Terri is just continuing the "legacy".

26. First off, just because we don't crawl up the Irwin family's a$$ doesn't automatically make us "haters", it means we have an opinion which we have the right to have.
Sorry, but the Bindi Irwin STAGED shows and REHEARSED, BRAINWASHED answers is EXPLOITATION at its WORST! NOBODY is going to tell me that an 8 year old little girl KNOWS what she wants to do when she grows up without it being brainwashed in her head! There are college kids that change their majors a dozen times----a month!! Give me a break!! It is so obvious Bindi is taking acting lessons left and right, and is CONSTANTLY being coached by as to what to say when asked what! And what's really going to be sad is one day when Bindi does grow up and truly realizes that she wants to do something else in her life besides work with animals (oh my goodness, can it be possible!), she is going to go into such a guilt trip and fall into a depression thinking something is wrong with her for actually wanting to do something else with her life that has NOTHING to do with animals. I can not believe any mother would allow their child to go through this. How sad! And all for money and fame.

27. Someone needs to inform Teri that the mullet went out of style almost 20 years ago.

28. Bindi has brought out a fitness video. It's called 'Bindi's kids fitness' and it's hilarious, especially the scenes with her cooking with her dad, I laughed my head off when I saw it.
For everyone concerned that Bendi is being pushed to far to soon, Bindi always went every where with her parents and she is just like them a real go getter and she is super smart too, she is an honour student. So you don't have to worry about her she has a really good head on her shoulders. And anyway you couldn't stop her from performing even if you tried she loves it so much.
As for that scumbag who calls himself sting ray F*** OFF YOU F***IN' LOSER YOU DON"T HAVE A F***IN' CLUE WHAT YA F***IN' ON ABOUT MATE!
Oh and by the way #13 it's spelled Tasmania not Tazmania, those bloody warner bro. have a lot to answer for. Actually Tassie devils really arn't that much different to the cartoon one, they're veracious little buggers except they don't actually spin around. and #14 what would you know F*** OFF!
And #7 you obviously don't know Terri to well, she's a strong woman. Of course she has mourned PRIVATLY! she is just staying strong and getting on with her life so she can keep things as normal as possible for her little one stupid!

29. Again, the f***ing Aussie a**holes who use a language that LOOKS a lot like English.
You want to correct spelling you-sheep-f***ing-put-another-shrimp-on-the-barbie-and-get-me-another-Fosters-willya-Shelia-ass-motherf***er?
PRIVATELY NOT PRIVATLY!
Steve Irwin was an explotive publicity whore who got what he deserved, and his horse-faced wife is pushing that little girl to rake in the dough so she can continue to fart in silk and eat devil dogs. Terri knows to come to the land of her ancestor's BECAUSE YOU "BLOKES", DOWN UNDER ARE DIRT POOR AND COULDN'T BUY THE STEAM OFF A HOT DOG!
You may eat the corn out of my well feed, fat red, white and blue American Sh*t. You son of degenerate LIMELY criminals
"Yes (he) deserved to die, and I hope (he) burns in hell!"
Anyway, thanks for reading and hanging on my every post.
