Blige's Birthday Bash

Mary J. Blige: Click to watchWith a guest list including Chris Rock, Chris Tucker and Anthony Anderson, Mary J. Blige's birthday party was a who's who of comedy.

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul celebrated her 36th birthday at Mr. Chow last night with hubby Kendu Isaacs by her side. While she was all smiles, she left a few autograph seekers cold, saying, "Ooh, I don't sign white paper, honey, sorry, and I don't sign money."

Miss Thing has her ways.

17. She doesn't sign white paper because it makes the signature easy to reproduce and she doesn't sign money because that would be defacing currency and that is illegal.

There is nothing racist about her at all.

18. poster number 14, maybe you should get your facts straight before you go on your little racist tirade. And maybe you should go back to the country that ancestors came from if you don't like the way that this country has evolved.

19. It's called a notary or lawyer,,, if you think a signature is going to be used on something else, then none of these "stars" would be signing autographs. Besides it seems like more ego than concern for fraud.

20. You people have got to be some of the stupidest people I have ever seen! Just because she doesnt sign white paper has nothing to do with her being racist! Did any of you idiots notice she had on a white shirt??! If some of you dont seem to care about her or dont like her.... then why take time out of your worthless day to read the article and post your comments? Dont be made because your broke a** didnt have a dollar for her to sign... then want to turn it into something racial because she's successful and happen to be African American.

22. I can understand her having a issue with the white paper, but why does she alway have a angry/sad look on her face? The one time i saw a smile on her face was at oprah's legendary ball and I don't want to comment on that. She needs to start appreciate her fans a little more.

24. O.k. Trelle. Who is the stupid one? It wasn't a shirt it was a DRESS And people are not made cause they didn't have a dollar. She said that she does NOT sign money. Your stupid ass should watch the clip first before reading people's comments and writting about them!!!!!! Besides that's the first thing I thought too. Why won't she sign "white" paper. Does it make a difference if it was red paper, people still could supper-impose some other document onto her signature. She didn't say I won't sign a "blank piece of paper or blank piece of white paper" it was just " won't sign white paper". Then any other celeb's wouldn't be signing autographs or would say the same. So does she mean she would sign a black piece of paper? Duh! Where's the signature!!! And this is coming from an Italian girl engaged to a black man and we been together for ten years, O.K.?!!!

26. You racist pig get a life why don't you take your ass back to europe and quit hatin. If you got your history right she didn't come here voluntarily!!!! She is a wonderful singer and beautiful person. What ego concern? It's her birthday EVERYONE deserves a day off!

27. But how can one come to a conclusion that someone is racist because she won't sign a piece of white paper? I don't understand that part.

28. To BEY. are you saying that some African Americans don't become paranoid when they "think" that there is a racist agains't them???????!~!!!!!!!!!!!

29. Marrisa... what difference does it make... it was white. I didnt need to watch the clip I read the article and the comments that were made about her. Then you have the NERVE to call me a name? bytch please..... And nobody cares if youre engaged to a black man for ten years... what's the point? Marry him first then I might care....

30. Mary's refusal to sign blank, white paper is a matter of SECURITY REASONS, and not for racial or prejudicial reason. On a blank sheet, any one can take her signature to Kinko's and make ump-teen jillion copies of her signature to photos (and sell them on E-Bay or whatever), or worse forge it on some kind of phony document/contract, which would cause any one (not just celebrities) a real legal nightmare.

And to Post #3-Nasty Boil--
No, at least I didn't expect you to say something bad. You do have a kind side to you (once in a while!).
